Really cool the firearms you have access to over in Estonia. Is there an expat group of other Brits doing the same thing? Great video on the new optic too :-)
Very good video 👍
Hello! How much amps did you use for the fuses?
Nice setup mate, I bet it’s nice to be able to carry! Great country Estonia. Are you guys able to carry knives there too? Subbed for more!
for ACC which slot to be used.. For BATT, which slot to be used.. I have same circuit diagram.. Please advice.. I have sets of fuse taps, both standard and Mini and fuses of 3 amp and 2 amp.. Also Garmin mini 2 and constant power cable.. Slot 42 - Cigar - ACC Slot 45 - Radio - Batt Or Slot 12 - Mirror Adjustment - ACC Slot 21 - Interior lighting - BATT
Either of the slots should be ok. I’d personally go for 42 and 45 in this instance.
Hello to you today I have been looking at the VP9 Compact mostly, and stumbled across this USP video, and I think this a beautiful firearm. Wonderful how we have many choices in the firearms world. Be well
Hello 10A for Battery 5A for Acc?
Yes this should work fine x
Will this fit on a Glock model 40 ? I would not mind trying it out
Great video but want to add a correction to the description update here: the constant power cable is not an appropriate alternative to the parking mode cable (according to Garmin docs, constant power cable is not compatible with parking mode). Constant power cable will drain your battery as it keeps the camera fully powered. Parking mode cable uses constant power only for motion detection until activated and has features to avoid fully draining your battery.
Thanks for the info! Very good to know and something I was not aware of since I haven’t tested that product or looked into it’s compatibility vs the parking mode kit deep enough.
What adapter plate are you using? And what iron sights you have? Ameriglo XL? That’s the exact same setup I want. Looks great bro!
Aimpoint OEM plate made by B&T out of Switzerland, and for sights I’m using Ameriglo XL all black GL-419
Love the P2. My RMR’s are retired now
Hello how do i get this to work with my dual battery? I have the black and yellow connected but not the red acc but it enters parking mode and wont get out of it and says turn on the ignition which wont do anything because the acc is disconnected, i want to use the parking guard feature as its better for me. But i cant get access because of parking mode being on. How do i get this to work so i dont have to use the parking mode being controlled with the ignition as im using my dual battery...?
Parking mode is the only option available with Garmin Tandem, X6 series, mini 1 and earlier. I believe if you want to using parking guard then you need a Garmin X7 series or mini 2 camera, the tandem and earlier do no support parking guard. If your having issues with dual battery then maybe you need the Constant Power Cable which connect to the OBD-II port, instead of the hardwired parking mode kit.
@@theexpatgunner I have the Garmin 67w with the parking mode cable and it’s running off the dual battery and for the acc wire I have that ran to the interior fuse box using a fuse tap. The dash cam is toggled and enters parking mode as it should, but something that is confusing me is why it enters parking guard where before when I didn’t have the acc wire connected it thought the car was off (duh) and it entered parking mode on screen but when I have it powered off the dual battery and acc to the front fuse box it enters parking guard and says parking mode in use etc when you try to view the gallery etc. Any idea why the mode name switch etc? I checked any setting to see if there’s a parking mode option for use with the parking mode cable but none and all settings are how it should be.
Did you get this to the range yet??? Beautiful gun.
Yes a few times now and it’s a nice pistol. A modern day classic.
Does the battery side of the acro stick on more then the other side ?
Not really any different from the P1, apart from the opposite side and I can’t say it’s been something I’ve really considered. I just accept the ACRO is a good optic and I’ve remained happy.
@@theexpatgunner I switched from an overwatch precision plate to a C&H plate and it sits lower and centered. The overwatch plate had the optic sitting more to the left, kinda offset. It didnt sit right
will this fit on the G48 mos?
I believe it’s only suitable for double stack pistol designs. You’ll need another option for a single stack such as the RMRcc, 507K, EPS etc.
Excellent...logical step instruction and visuals😃
Thank you that’s much appreciated. Was my first time doing something like this and I thought it would be good to share the process from an absolute beginner perspective.
The. Enjoye-d amazing . =))
Glock users putting dots that cost more then the gun on them lol
Well actually the Glock 17 MOS cost about €200 EUR more than the Aimpoint ACRO P2, but why should either matter. The coat of a pistol is not always an indicator of long term reliability and performance. Glocks run, CZ’s run and so do HK’s and most other quality European firearms. If a platform is proven then I don’t see an issue with putting on best of breed accessories even if they cost more or less the same as the pistol they are going on. 😀
At 5 to 10 meters holes should touch when zeroing at 10 reconfirm at 30
The California Department of Justice announced on Friday that all pistols in the USP line from popular gunmaker Heckler & Koch (H&K) were removed from the state's approved handgun roster. As a result, the pistols “may no longer be sold, offered for sale, or manufactured” in the state.May 10, 2022
Wonder why that is?

So, what exactly is the difference between Parking Mode and normal Recording Mode when you're driving? Is it still constantly recording when the Ignition is off? Or does it only record when it detects movement? If so, isn't that too late? Or does it have some kind of buffer and keeps the last 5 seconds in memory for example and then writes that too the Card when triggered?
Mikey, the parking mode allows the unit to operate each time the ignition switch is turned on. And, it operates automatically when the vehicle is switched off. It has a feature that will automatically shut the camera off short of running down the vehicle battery. Hope this helps.
@@almccallie4314 - But, is it constantly recording when the Ignition is off? I ask because my car is garaged overnight and only really need this feature when it's in a Car Park. So, when it's in the Garage, is it constantly recording? Or is there a feature where I can have it record an impact when it's in a car park and turn it off when I'm home? I suppose I could just unplug it
@@PhannyObsession Parking mode is achieved by using a special wire from Garmin called a “Parking Mode Cable”. They are a bit expensive. And yes, parking mode begins to record when the ignition switch is turned OFF. It is my understanding there is also a feature that senses motion, (such as something bumping your car), that tells the dash cam to save or protect that portion of the video. I’m with you - I don’t like it recording while just sitting in my garage, so I’m putting a switch on the wire so I can disable it when I want to. Keep in mind, the Parking Mode Cable doesn’t plug in to anything for a source of power. It is hardwired in to two power wires - one for a switched accessory, and one for constant power. Mine is wired using two fuse taps straight into the fuse block. I hope this helps. Good luck with it.
I have a cobra dash cam but hardwire it only has two red and black wires. It is from the same brand”cobra” special for my camera. Where should I connect those two cables? Thanks.
The Garmin parking mode kit and Garmin branded accessories will only work with Garmin Dash cameras. Typically a red wire indicates positive and a black wire negative. I can only recommend you consult Cobra documentation for the correct procedure on hardwiring your dash cam.
I like you video
I carry Glock 19 gen 5 with 124 grain federal jacketed hollow points
Wich height sights do you use with the acro P-2?
Ameriglo GL-429XL Tall Black serrated .315 FRONT, Flat Black .394 REAR
What kind of iron sights have you mounted on the gun?
GL-429XL Tall Black serrated .315 FRONT, Flat Black .394 REAR
Don't know why so many people on here prefer that Chinese-made crap over this beautiful piece of Swedish craftsmanship! The Holosun is nowhere near the Acro. But that's fine, keep buying up that Chinese junk, leave the Acro for those of us who would appreciate it.
So for my 2020 Nissan Altima, that means it would be best to take it to a professional place to install the parking mode accessories? I saw the video twice but still can’t figure out how to do it. My husband doesn’t know anything about electricity either 🥺
My advice with anything like this is, if you feel confident and understand the basics of electrical systems then it’s good to try. If you can’t then get a professional for safety and peace of mind.
Do you have estonian citizenship?Or can you just own them if you live in Estonia? You also allowed to carry there? I thought Czech Republik is the only EU country were you allowed to carry.
There are 6-7 counties in the EU that allow but I think Estonia and Czech are the most liberal. Each country has its own conditions and you must be a legal resident with a permit for residency in any case to apply.
Tuhat tänu! ;)
I have one on backorder through optics planet and the estimated shipping date keeps getting moved back!
Hope you get it soon! Thanks for watching.
Are you able to purchase a P2 where you’re at?
I expect so, but I’d have to check. I originally got mine back in July of 2021.
Looks ugly and bulky
Just got mine and it rocks!
Awesome it does not disappoint. 👍
What mounting issue for you use?
I use the Swiss made Brügger & Thomet mounting plate which is the OEM plate recommended by Aimpoint.
Great video - questions - I have dash cam tandem w/parking mode cable (front) now I want to connect the dash cam mini 2 (rear) do I need a longer cable to attach to the tandem? do I need separate parking mode cable for the rear mini 2? thanks for your help
Hi Brian. If you want to run the mini 2 in parking mode you will need an additional parking mode cable. The parking mode cable has only one usb output, therefore its not possible to connect more than one camera. As an alternative I suggest looking at the Constant Power Cable, as a replacement for the parking mode kit, as this option looks to support 2 dash cameras at a time.
only "malfunctions" when it runs out of ammo...then it becomes a club to beat someone with lol. got a p2000 for my conceal, cant wait to get a full size USP
Just as Boris the Blade would say :). Hope you enjoy the USP when you get one and thanks for watching.
A comparison to a RMR would be a wonderful video! Thanks for the Info can’t wait to see these in the Free States
I'd love to get my hands one one to test on my next optic ready pistol. However, they are mega expensive and hard to find here in Europe. About 800EUR for an RMR vs 600EUR for the ACRO P-2 is a hard sell.
From a non RMR user, at first glance it looks like a double decker bus mounted on the top of the slide. Can’t argue it’s accuracy that being said. The range looks a bit beaten up like Da’aesh were the previous tenants
Good shooting. The new Acro is very appealing for sure.
Thanks for watching. I'm certainly happy I went with the ACRO.
Called aimpoint USA today 11-1-21 they said in the states by year end?!
Yes I’ve also heard reports that mainstream availability for civilian customers will be during the end of 2021 - beginning of 2022.
Hhm...on one hand...i can´t help it...the Acro looks kinda out of place...too big/bulky mounted on a handgun like the Glock... However, disregarding that....the new C2/P2 sure seems to be able to do the job. I believe it would look really nice paired with a Scalarworks leap mount on a carbine....
Originally this is what I though when they first released the ACRO P1 back in 2019. However, after spending some time running the P1 on my G17 and then upgrading to the P2, the size never bother me. The performance and reliability matters most and this thing delivers in spades. Overall, I prefer the look and design of the P2 and IMO its an excellent option for a pistol, carbine, or as an offset secondary option for a rifle. Thanks for watching :)
I only own one Aimpoint reddot so far & it´s the Micro T2...very happy with it. Regarding the Acro... i think the C2/P2 is sligthly better looking than the C1/P1. What i would want to see coming from Aimpoint is a choise of not only a red but also a GREEN reticle. Recently bought a "red"dot from a competitior of Aimpoint that has just that...a green reticle that can be changed to dot only, ring only or dot with ring... actually very pleasant for the eyes.
An Englishman with an actual firearm? Nice lol
Yep there are a few of use spread across the world. 😀 thanks for watching 👍
How's the Trigger compared to the P30 lineup?
The trigger is decent… I’ve yet to try the P30 but would like to compare.
Proper glock
What a great looking pistol.😅
She is a classic :)
Top !
You can tell the G45 by the marks left on barrel from slide . Mine has the same problem .
Yes, this is true, perhaps the G45 has a tighter lockup. My G17 Gen 5 MOS however, doesn’t seem to have the same wear characteristics and my G19 Gen 4 barrel has no wear marks!
That is not a problem!
