  It's strange to see A 1970s film made in the 2020s. Definitely wish Scott Aukerman popped up. Don't know why exactly...comedy bang bang, babbbeeyyy...Anyways, this was funny. Dumb, in a fun way. Not dumb, but written for the jokes and pacing... which some may percieve is coming off as dumb, but it's literally the intent....so is it dumb? Is it? HUH? YOU, YEAH YOU! IS IT?.... I say it ain't

  Good movie. But took great exception at Other Music folks in the movie crapping on Tower Records. Tower Records started off just like them rising against all odds. Towe Records was birthed in Sacramento, CA out all places in the corner of local drugstore at a time when no one was opening record stores. It will be cherished in the hearts of so many people. Always hated this attitude of folks in this movie "we are special, honest and artistic and are pioneers" while being smug and elite at the same time. All Things Must Pass about Tower Records is a far superior documentary. I still appreciated this movie being a lover of vinyl. But when you are on the fringe of a movement, where ever you are , should always be careful not to wander into an elitist mentality and have the gall as if you are in unique and navigating uncharted territory. To infer that Tower Records didnt quite a bit of the music that Other Music didnt have, is not true

  noup, it's a subgenre named mumblecore characterized by naturalistic (sometimes improvised) acting and dialogue, low budgets, an emphasis on dialogue rather than plot, and a focus on personal relationships. The main characters are usually between 20 and 30 years old. Greta Gerwig director of the new barbie movie has movie about this subgenre, Ladybird is one of that type of movie for example

  It's not that great, but it lingers in the brain unlike many exciting, linear films. There's some really fun soundtrack cues, even some that are brilliant. One of the two female leads is simply gorgeous in that rare sort of way.
