If you like carpentry and woodturning then you're in the right place cause that’s all I do. Here on this channel I create longer videos, showing my creative process from start to finish - usually on a lathe. I don’t just show the projects that go well, I also show the ones that don’t. Join me on my woodturning journey from beginner to pro (hopefully). I just want to create chilled woodturning videos for all to enjoy.
I hope you enjoy my channel!

Looks great. I normally drill out and make holes then take a small saw to get the shape and then dremal for touch up. I may just try straight dremal next time.
Nice work Henry! Tell me please where did you by this polishing set. Thani you!
Really well done lots of patience with the wool hole, i get too frustrated and end up drilling along the line to make it less for the Dremel. Also I found the people that buy these want a lid, so that when the cat knocks it over everything stays in the bowl :) You earnt a subscriber today :)
Thanks much appreciated :)
Что кроме карандашей больше подточить нечего.
Apples don't usually have four buttcracks on top
Одного понять не могу, вижу уже не первый раз (на разных каналах), когда заливку делают в квадратной форме, на мой взгляд удобнее делать в круглой.
Really good.
Thanks 🙏
❤️
Beautiful work ❤ how much cost
Thank you :) Not selling these at the moment, but let me know if it’s something that you’d like to see in the shop!
🍎 😋 Nice lookin apple man
Thanks 🙏
😅😅😅
nice work Henry.
Thank you 🙏
I didn't know you knit as well as turn.😂 Mate, it already looks aged and over a century old, well done 👍🏻
Very nice. What did you use as a finish?
Thanks! Used danish oil on this one
It makes perfect little curly shavings too! I've never seen a piece like this before, I love the colors!
That gives me an idea for a Christmas Ornament. I think I would leave a hollow when casting it and add a colored finial?
Interesting work, thanks for sharing. Full view and Like 👍
Beautiful job
👍👍👍
Moin, moin, nehme es mir nicht übel, aber aus dem schönen Stück Holz hättest du 4 Honiglöffel machen können.
That's a lot of work for something that winds up looking like a colored vinyl record, lol.
Looks like a beautiful cross between a vinyl record and a flying saucer. I love how it turned out!
Thank you 🙏
Thanks 👍
What a beautiful finish. I love the effect of the bronzing what did you use. It's inspired me to try the burning and bronzing on the urn I plan to make for my own ashes. Keep up the magnificent work.
When you will learn how to properly ride the bevel, at now you mainly scrape the wood instead of cutting it, you will find that cherry is a fantastic wood to turn. Also learn to use the proper tools, the skew cisel should be used to cut the wood and not to scrape it and the detail gouge is the right tool to do the work you are doing, not the bowl gouge sharpened with the irish grind that is perfect for bowls and other cross grain works. Keep on turning, you will improve, a couple of lessons with a woodturner that has mastered the art or if is not possible the Richard Raffan's dvds can really speed up the learning process. Begin each cut with only the bevel touching the wood then slowly rise the handle until the cutting edge engages the wood and begins to cut, do it slowly and deliberately until the feeling of a riding bevel and a properly cut wood becomes natural to you, you will find from yourself what I mean and you will improve your control and also the surface you get from the tool. Riding the bevel and properly cutting cherry you will also have to sand less, few seconds with 180 grit will be enough turning cherry. The bowl I usually use to eat is a cherry one, I turned it maybe 30 years ago and still is as good and pristine as when it was new, this is how good is cherry to turn, bowls that I turned with other species did not last as long and cherry has beautiful grain pattern and colour, don't blame it and also don't blame yourself even if the problems you had was due to technical errors by yourself. Don't blame yourself because everyone has his learning curve and errors are a part of it, somehow an unavoidable one, the important thing is to learn from them, only this way we can improve, I wish you the best in your woodturning adventure and forgive me if I can sound harsh telling those things, my intent is to hellp you improve, not to blame you.
looks great! when you are working between centers, start with the big parts, then the smaller ones. if the workpiece is in the chuck, work from the richt to the left. this way you can ensure that the workpiece has enouf support. and keep youre spindle gouche 90 degrees to the wood, that way it cuts better. keep up the progress!
Is that a honey ladle?
My friend, you should get a pressure pot soon.

Awesome job!!!
Hey Henry, that is a nice bowl you made. Yes, ash wood is a beautiful wood to work with, and I have also made a number of projects with it.

Thank you!
Looks great. Did you use a paper towel to apply the paint?
Thanks! Yes just regular kitchen roll :)
Thanks 👍
Your poor lathe is moving all around. Add 100 pounds to it. Your cuts will be cleaner.
Unfortunately my lathe is bolted to a wooden floor that moves slightly which makes it wobble a lot under heavy weights like this one. Upgrading soon fingers crossed 🤞
@@HenryKeateCarpentry. , it's a lot of fun getting a new lathe. Keep us posted.
Very nice 👌👌
Nice work
