  by removing the cat , would your engine back pressure will drop.. or should we put some sort of restrictor to maintain the back pressure .. ?

  Catalytic converters or other alternative anti-pollution devices , even today, most likely are nowhere to be found in Ships, Trains, Airplanes, Trucks, Buses and other special vehicles, vessels, or equipment, industries etc but the car of the average Joe and Karen must have them, or else they cannot keep them on the roads; GTFOH

  You couldn't just left it intact and sold the whole unit. A recycler won't take just the inards, they need to know exactly what vehicle it came from, so you just cost yourself possibly hundreds of dollars. Replace with straight pipe is the only proper way.

  Mine collapsed and when I took it out I could see a perfect rectangular patch, I was told it was a new one being put in a little over a year ago! I’m pissed they gave me a refurbished cat! It clearly wasn’t brand new!

  You can immediately see that the accelerometer is read on the I2C bus! what real "online" mode are you talking about!? The graph plotter shows that the sampling frequency is very small and therefore more than half of the data needed to build a full-fledged distortion graph is lost. And why is this video without a full process of balancing the fan rotor!?

  I've seen power drop on dyno with hollow cats on some cars. Weld the cat housing on a smooth exhaust pipe so you would get better flow

  Agreed, it is definatly a bad idea to just empty them, a replacement for the 200 cells is best. the way to delete it is to weld instead a merge pipe and if needed fit an aftermarket cata further down, for easy maintenance and avoid heat soak close to the engine.
