Unfortunately Ono moved away and sold the apartment :(
Loved the Video. Hope you are doing great nowadays. Goodluck :)
The accuracy of this is incredible.
I was thinking about getting into architecture and i saw your videos and it looks hard😭 is it really that hard?
im sorry, but you look like annabeth chase low-key
It’s kinda like that one scene in mean girls
📉💥🔥 <<<< you called it months ago.
They're probably just insecure. I did the same thing. Sometimes still do. Its because i genuinely just dont have that confidence. Ive learned now that everyone thinks im fishing so i just shut up and dont get the encouragement that would GENUINELY help lol
sure, there are ppl who are insecure. But when it happens over and over again, especially when they are trying to do it around a lot of ppl’s attention, it’s fishing. And it is soooo frustrating.
@@celest-un1nv yes of course! That's a different thing than what I'm meaning (I realize I did not explain more. I was under the influence when I saw it 💀) There are indeed some people who do it so often it gets so frustrating. At that point then yes it's for attention or that person just is clueless to it (been there before too) but overall; Yes it's annoying and everyone can be irritated or upset as much as they want but at the same time this person might not realize what's active happening so it's good to communicate that feeling if you're friends or close!
Well, as someone who plans to major in an engineering field... I truly can't draw.
there's a difference with the context of this video(: A lot of people in uni ((who know they are absolute drawing wizards)) they constantly pulled stunts like this to get more praise and pats. If someone who needed more support, that's totally different! Our studios were wonderful about offering this support. I definitely needed a helping hand when I first started and hope to offer others a helping hand now that I'm finished with school. Congrats on beginning your school journey! What kind of engineering? Anyone can definitely learn to draw it just takes time and practice! You'll get there in no time, im sure(:: Keep us posted and cheers!
@@UnravelingArchitecture I'm still in high school, but I plan to be an aerospace engineer. And I understood the point of the video, I was just poking fun at the joke that architects design beautiful things while engineers go for the cheapest and most efficient design. 🤣
Maybe they're just insecure don't be a dick
There’s two ways people do it like they constantly say it’s bad and ignore peoples compliments band the ones who accepts the compliments guess which one wants compliments
then why are you still here if you think that you are still so bad even if you are in school kinda hate those
Your creativity is through the roof!
What’s wrong with asking for encouragement?
Different contexts.
Some do it for encouragement, some do it for compliments. Some do it honestly, some dont
Bc it's deceitful and inauthentic lmao. Just ask "what do you think of this drawing?"
It’s not asking for encouragement, it’s fishing for compliments because they know they really aren’t good enough
DARIA
it's for sure a vanity project and it's destined to either be scaled back significantly or fail entirely.
the project size has since been reduced since this video has been created and published. reduced about 98% actually.
@@UnravelingArchitecture funny. As expected.
1st yr in to Architecture im having a breakdown
Talk about the Roman city of Timgad please. Apparently, this city is the best example of Roman urban planning during antiquity.
I've been wanting to design a building that observes the solstice, maybe something like a library in a round shape or circular configuration. I just don't know what the reason would be other than just because, sometimes maybe there doesn't need to be a reason and that's okay 😂. Architects are supposed to be artists and theologians but unlike other artists we are required, sometimes unwillingly to have a well thought out justification for every expression and action we do, where's other artists can get away with the macabre, arbitrary, abstract, nonsensical even.
Extremely worried about the wildlife slamming into the mirrors!!! Total death trap for them, 😞
LETS GO NAT!!!!!!
Please grow up and learn how to speak and make a presentation beyond 12-years old. Stop and think. You really should not be promoting the voice of an eternal 12 year old as the sexy way to sound..Like, kinda, circular... design, kinda... digging tools... ya know? It may be unconscious, but many American women are socialised to talk like this. It is a more noble topic than what the sverage person your age is doing, but build an academic voice.
Cavemen: hey gronk, look at these cool stones me put up Modern scientists: WHAT CAN IT MEAN?!
There is no BCE, it's only BC
Absolutely. The BCE is irritating isn't it.
When they found Stonehenge they found a pile of stones.they put them where there are now.there is a documentary with actual photos and footage.
I really appreciate your explanations and sharing information from them! 👏
No one knows the date nor do they know how they were made. This is Ludacris
I mean.... do yiu know? Or would you leave it to people who actually study thing like this? Or maybe you are a magical time traveller who can tell us?
Great you regurgitating everything we already know what's next death valley is really hot in the summer time.
Some people new to studying structures might not know these things(: we were all learning this information at one point or another
@@UnravelingArchitectureGood answer.
Using your face as a pointer 🗿
That perfection is slowly but steadily slipping
I don’t see anything attractive about The Line. Even the renderings are claustrophobic. I don’t see how the line contributes to tourism. Saudi tourism is deterred by being under strict Islamic strictures that neither westerners nor Asian countries would find attractive. Every mall in Saudi Arabia has one section for men, another for women. Alcohol is prohibited. Women are unable to venture out unaccompanied by a male person in charge of her. Lastly, why would a tourist want to visit the line? It has nothing of cultural or even architectural significance. Seeing the same building over and over isn’t interesting. Of course, the one real city of significance is closed off to non-Muslims. Tourism cannot be manufactured.
Gotta say highly impressed I have listen to a lot of talk on this subject but the pace in which you talked about it kept it very interesting. I will be watching more videos! Keep up the good work!
I hope they will build this thing because of two reasons... On the one hand, if they will spend all their money for this thing, they can't spend it for worse things like war, weapons or AIs. And on the other hand, we will have a very nice lost place in the future, where we can make great youtube videos....
Honestly, I am not sure if The Line is possible, in fact many of NEOM's projects are outright dystopian but the world needs it to work. It might just give people hope that we could divert ourselves from oil-based economies. Today's cities and urban centers are so unsustainable and living the way we are now, there is no way we will survive very long. Just look at the coffin houses in Hong Kong for goodness sake! The population is suppose to reach 10 billion by 2050, and where will all these people live, how could we even find rescources to feed them. Even uprooting entire forests won't save us for long, using technology and finding new ways of urbanization might be the only thing to save our planet! I am very skeptical about it working, but there are too many bets on it to fail, we just need to keep investing and risking our money because we are playing with our future. Anyway, sorry for the long paragraph😅
I am joining architecture school soon in 2025 and watched your 5 videos back to back. It boggled my mind
Oh man! Hope things were not discouraging for you I know this video is a bit raw. It is a cool major and a good time. But I do truly believe in being transparent online! So just wanted to share my take on the ego!
Currently busy with my work internship and the fear is still strong😂
That's not a city, it's a prison.
Definitely feels like one!
what country do you live maam? Im just wondering because we usually use Autocad and sketchup in our country.
I’m in the states!
@@UnravelingArchitecture does autocad is about to be obsoleted?
Yeah/: we use revit in about 90-95% of firms here these days
@@UnravelingArchitecture glad I heard that. Now i need to study revit 😁
It would look great on Americas southern border.
I like what you're saying well. I hope the Prince didn't watched this. Apparently people go missing when they say anything negative about him and his Ideals.😢
Haha, I really love minecraft, and I am not that good at handdrawings, physical models... so I was actually thinking about including some Minecraft screenshots in my portfolio, but I was not so sure about it until I saw your video, I think I might as well doing so)))) (also try playing SIms lol)
You definitely should!! Best of luck!
This is an interesting video that presents the information very well, but I couldn't watch it all the way through due to the irritating voice fry.
I would say you should be careful what your reporting the powers to be are watching that said be careful sweetheart.
Thanks for this honest and frank assessment. The ridiculous vanity projects coming out of the Arab states are such a horrible waste of resources all in the mismanaged pursuit to move away from an oil extraction economy. I have to problem with the goal of minimizing their dependence on oil but each project is a vain glorious ego stroking horror that is aimed only at the ultra wealthy. They would do nothing to help develop a real economy that would serve the citizens of these countries, but would only be playgrounds for the wealthy Arabs. How long will these places last without food or water or workers to provide maintenance or supplies? They all look like movie concept art. Are they consulting with real architects and engineers? Are the architects and engineers just taking as much money as they can no while it lasts?
erybdy luvs a gud boondoggle
They have to pay me to live there. Good luck!
is MBS actually a plant whose objective is to bankrupt his country or is he really this stupid?
It will fail and will end up being a film location
It’s very blade runner-esque!
A 3 trillion Afghanistan destructive war didn't bother u? But this does?
Who said it didn’t?
Great video, love your videos, easy to follow and understand
I appreciate that!(:
Centralized planning of this sort never works. All it takes is one failure, or for people to behave in ways that they naturally do. We are not ants, no matter what elite egg heads do to try and force us to behave like them.
Stewart Hicks another architectural KZreadr did a great video about why linear planned cities do not work! Good video to see if you’re interested.
