They're probably just insecure. I did the same thing. Sometimes still do. Its because i genuinely just dont have that confidence. Ive learned now that everyone thinks im fishing so i just shut up and dont get the encouragement that would GENUINELY help lol

sure, there are ppl who are insecure. But when it happens over and over again, especially when they are trying to do it around a lot of ppl’s attention, it’s fishing. And it is soooo frustrating.

@@celest-un1nv yes of course! That's a different thing than what I'm meaning (I realize I did not explain more. I was under the influence when I saw it 💀) There are indeed some people who do it so often it gets so frustrating. At that point then yes it's for attention or that person just is clueless to it (been there before too) but overall; Yes it's annoying and everyone can be irritated or upset as much as they want but at the same time this person might not realize what's active happening so it's good to communicate that feeling if you're friends or close!

there's a difference with the context of this video(: A lot of people in uni ((who know they are absolute drawing wizards)) they constantly pulled stunts like this to get more praise and pats. If someone who needed more support, that's totally different! Our studios were wonderful about offering this support. I definitely needed a helping hand when I first started and hope to offer others a helping hand now that I'm finished with school. Congrats on beginning your school journey! What kind of engineering? Anyone can definitely learn to draw it just takes time and practice! You'll get there in no time, im sure(:: Keep us posted and cheers!

I've been wanting to design a building that observes the solstice, maybe something like a library in a round shape or circular configuration. I just don't know what the reason would be other than just because, sometimes maybe there doesn't need to be a reason and that's okay 😂. Architects are supposed to be artists and theologians but unlike other artists we are required, sometimes unwillingly to have a well thought out justification for every expression and action we do, where's other artists can get away with the macabre, arbitrary, abstract, nonsensical even.

Please grow up and learn how to speak and make a presentation beyond 12-years old. Stop and think. You really should not be promoting the voice of an eternal 12 year old as the sexy way to sound..Like, kinda, circular... design, kinda... digging tools... ya know? It may be unconscious, but many American women are socialised to talk like this. It is a more noble topic than what the sverage person your age is doing, but build an academic voice.

I don’t see anything attractive about The Line. Even the renderings are claustrophobic. I don’t see how the line contributes to tourism. Saudi tourism is deterred by being under strict Islamic strictures that neither westerners nor Asian countries would find attractive. Every mall in Saudi Arabia has one section for men, another for women. Alcohol is prohibited. Women are unable to venture out unaccompanied by a male person in charge of her. Lastly, why would a tourist want to visit the line? It has nothing of cultural or even architectural significance. Seeing the same building over and over isn’t interesting. Of course, the one real city of significance is closed off to non-Muslims. Tourism cannot be manufactured.

And on the other hand, we will have a very nice lost place in the future, where we can make great youtube videos....

Honestly, I am not sure if The Line is possible, in fact many of NEOM's projects are outright dystopian but the world needs it to work. It might just give people hope that we could divert ourselves from oil-based economies. Today's cities and urban centers are so unsustainable and living the way we are now, there is no way we will survive very long. Just look at the coffin houses in Hong Kong for goodness sake! The population is suppose to reach 10 billion by 2050, and where will all these people live, how could we even find rescources to feed them. Even uprooting entire forests won't save us for long, using technology and finding new ways of urbanization might be the only thing to save our planet! I am very skeptical about it working, but there are too many bets on it to fail, we just need to keep investing and risking our money because we are playing with our future. Anyway, sorry for the long paragraph😅

Thanks for this honest and frank assessment. The ridiculous vanity projects coming out of the Arab states are such a horrible waste of resources all in the mismanaged pursuit to move away from an oil extraction economy. I have to problem with the goal of minimizing their dependence on oil but each project is a vain glorious ego stroking horror that is aimed only at the ultra wealthy. They would do nothing to help develop a real economy that would serve the citizens of these countries, but would only be playgrounds for the wealthy Arabs. How long will these places last without food or water or workers to provide maintenance or supplies? They all look like movie concept art. Are they consulting with real architects and engineers? Are the architects and engineers just taking as much money as they can no while it lasts?
