Seek Adventure!
This channel is all about living those words. Our goal is to encourage the healthy outdoor lifestyle that anybody can enjoy! 👌
Who am I? Nobody really, but I do love being in the great outdoors whenever I can get away from the grind. Ever since I bought my first camera I have enjoyed creating short videos, more recently I have been filming my 4wding and outdoor adentures and sharing them with the world.
My Mazda Bt50 (Cyan) gets me around WA and sometimes friends tag along for the journey too.
I hope you guys enjoy the channel and have a laugh or two 👍.
Cheers guys, Michael

400 isn't cheap for camping. I'd be impressed if you did it with 100 or less
I am interested in how a broken fastening of a snatch block would fare with a dampener since a snatch block is by far the most dangerous thingy in the chain? I know that the snatch block and where it is fastened should be stronger than the weak point, but it would still be interesting to see how a dampener can stop such a heavy thing. My thinking is if I were to help a regular driver out of a ditch and I can't get enough traction to pull them out with a single line and have to use a snatch block to almost double the pulling power. In such an emergency case, I might not be able to attach the block as strong as I would like in the ditched vehicle. I'm interested in real physics and do comment on how one "NEVER SHOULD DO THAT!!!!" if anyone wants to, but IMO, in real life one sometimes has to take some unwanted risk to save/help someone.
You would think wearing the hat to protect your head would be obvious. But then again in todays culture we see men wearing a baseball cap backwards with their sunglasses on the hat brim also backwards and their hand over their forehead squinting to see because of the sun.
Please come back to youtube …. we all miss you.

Reflection from the yellow plastic on only one panel ?
The multiple slowmo replays give the impression of repeated testing of each variable. In reality, only one test at each position was conducted... I know your not mafe of money to be buying pallet loads of winch rope, (plus where do you draw the line, do you need a control to rule out the rope itself as a variable...) but without a control and/or consecutive tests at each position to rule out other factors being at play, the results are next to useless im afraid. I'll explain, It all depends where the rope fails as to the impact the dampener may have on the length of cable THE DAMPENER IS ATTACHED TO. A better approach would have been to test each dampener location a minimum of 3 times and compare the point of failure for each test. This way, lets hypothetically assume for a moment that the point of failure was identical each time, you would be able to better determine that the effect the damper had on the rope was consistent and therefore a direct result of dampener placement location. If the point of failure was inconsistent a look at the dampener location vs the point of failure location would at least give a better indication on placement vs effect for various failure locations, especially when each set of results can be looked at with the other sets of results to cross reference and identify any consistencies or inconsistencies Good work tho, no bullshit, no nonsense, straight to the point 👍
If you construct the shackle to spec. there is no reason it will be less safe than a "Factory Made" shackle. It is no more "irresponsible" than making your own aircraft which is allowed in the States at least. if you follow the process and specifications. if you have ever gone to "the factory" and seen the process you can easily duplicate this at home with the proper materials. Here in the States we can make our own cars, firearms, and many other items as DYIers. What makes something good it knowledge of the process and materials. It is common to perform "field repairs to synthetic winch lines and making a shackle is no different if you have the knowledge and understanding of the required materials and process. That is my only disagreement. Otherwise a very good video.
Very clever! Thank you. Curious... how is it vented?
Nevermind. I see the vent cap.
Just came across this channel and I really enjoy watching the vids. I was saddened to see the last video upload was 3 years ago.
That recovery point looks like it would be a fun one to try and get to if you were stuck in deep mud
If that’s a funny hat, then I must be a damn comedian.

I was visiting my new land property in central Florida and there was sand/gravel road. Very undeveloped area not to mention I was bobtailing in my tractor. Found this video and hoping This knowledge will help. Def will think twice coming out here in my bobtail till the roads are finished. 😢 wish me luck y’all cause I cannot afford a wrecker atm
Thanks. Pray to Kesus for guidance
I wish most of you generation had the skills you possess, well done
Everyone who off-roads should watch this great video! Snow, sand, or mud, this is exactly how it’s done.
I’ve always liked the Hat wearing culture in countries where the sun is harsh or the rain and wind are strong. Hats keep one’s head warm apart from looking elegant and in some way, elevate head wear into the next level of elegance. Honestly, even in India where I live, the hat wearing culture has kind of died down and the whole new thing is dressing down or dressing sloppy. But, then, even if I look out of place, I like wearing my Hats and I don’t subscribe to this ‘dressing down’ thing.
I just bought an Aussie Chiller to wear here in Barcelona Spain, since summers are getting hotter and hotter (40 degrees celsius) and I easily get sunburn. No one wears hats here, but that’s ok, one has to be careful. And they look really nice.
Good video thanks
