What do you mean by "and not a have a job" we are your job, teaching rookies how to write. I'm going through something similar over on my side of the world 🇯🇲. I know it's necessary. Sometimes, feels like a hill on your back being so young (18). Be safe and keep doing what you're doing. Life feels a bit lighter knowing you're not the only one on this journey.

I’ve gone through some life changes like this in my own life. So much so that I’ve found I don’t want to do anything because I’m content. Even so I went to Austin for comedy recently and discovered myself to knew depths. Like you’re saying, I discovered it was a world I had no desire to be a part of. I have much more respect for you for choosing the path of being real than if you were a “successful” Hollywood phony.

My story goes nearly the same : It was 2018 when I first had the thought of becoming something highly successful and ultra rich but never had any vision of what I wanted to do to get there. then a year later in 2019 I first had the idea of becoming a writer and / or highly successful Hollywood actor and get that rich, now don't get me wrong i liked stories since my childhood and always dreamed of creating fantasy world in reality but that idea wasn't translated into the simplest work until late 2019 and by then I was doing almost anything to learn (watching movies randomly, learning every now and then about writing advices, reading books, consuming random videos about writing even as I didn't understand a thing, etc). but the problem with that was I thought this can be achieved as soon as I got to Hollywood so I kept clinging to that lie ignoring all my friends and family, keeping myself a loner in college, telling myself that I wasn't worth anything here and I only belong to Hollywood, never realizing the girl I liked as a friend had love for me until too late, no health care, no self development, rushing every job I had just to get money to go to ... Well you guessed it, Hollywood. Now, five years after I had that vision of becoming successful writer I am still working to achieve it but now I am not the same person, I am different in every way and now believe that Hollywood isn't and will never be bigger than the world, that I can actually check other cultures and countries and people to see where I belong really, that my friends and people matter, that my self actually matter and I have seen great change in every bit of my work where I previously struggled to understand now I get easily and done as I now want to be a writer for a purpose much bigger than money for just fame.
