Magic resistance is like the sole reason people level up Alteration in the first place Snake blood would be good too if it wasn't that deep in the Alchemy tree (at that point, you can cheese with your own 80% poison resistance potions)

I feel like you’re sleeping on poison rune. Spamming it at someone’s feet is the easiest win and the only catch is making sure Lydia doesn’t hug the guy you’re poisoning

Those are the mystic tuning gloves! They are in the base game too. I forget which quest actually gives you these, but I know it’s a quest given by a college of winterhold member.

8:20. I think a 25% chance doesn't mean it will work once in 4 successful backward power attacks; it means there is a 25% chance in a single attack that it will work, so it is even less than what you said. Again, not too sure.

Heal undead is great for healing your bone summons. With Master of the mind perk, Twin Souls, the bone Colossus, and the conjugation endurance and +1 summon enchantment, you can summon 5 bone bodies, rally them, and heal them. Important to note that I cast all magic for free and my conjugations last a minimum of 520 seconds (max enchantment, resto loop)

If you have the special edition of the game, you have two options. Option 1 is buying the anniversary upgrade. Its around 20 bucks, but you get so much more content with the conjuration spells too. Its definitely worth it in my opinion. Option 2 is directly purchasing creation club credits, and using them to buy the specific creations with the spells that i listed in the decription. This may cost less, but you are getting a lot less bang for your buck. Hope this helps! I may make a video on the anniversary upgrade soon.

I remember years ago 2012/2013 i put the ghostblade in a display case in hjerim and came back one day to find it gone, this was back on 360 version too so i couldn't use console commands or anything, one of my favourite weapons in the game at the time just because i had never seen anything like it in a game before.

What about the expert version of Lightning Strom? There's the master version, which uses 2 hands, and the expert takes 1 hand. Saved my ass a few times. Lydia got herself killed, tho. (totally didn't hit her).

@@TypicalPirate55 no I don't think it's a mod maybe just a hidden spell in the game files. I play mostly on console so in order too acess the spells I use cheat room. It's labeled as an Expert spell. I have no spell mods. Just mods that change the animations. It's Dps is 60 points and it's cost is 51 points per second. It takes up the right hand and can't be equipped in the left hand. You select spells you can learn. If you choose the later well... say goodbye to that save if you use it that's my experience anyway.

I play a Breton who is a fire user who switches in between with barehanded fighting. I use my flame cloak with double casting to add a massive AOE attack while im beating the crap out of one person at a time when they are too close.

If you're role-playing a mage you're probably gonna run 100% reduction destruction spell cost since its your main way of attacking and also Runes are great at sniping enemies when you get the perk that extends the range placement of Runes and they do nice damage. The Blizzard spell is useless since the damage is based off your own frost and magic resistance. The Wall spells suck they barely do any damage which is disappointing because I love the idea of DoT AoE. Big shout out to the content creation spells, the frost and lightning spells are super broken, the fire spell sucks since its just a long range Wall of Flames. The elemental blast spell is the fire ball spell on crack and the health stealing spell is get id you don't want to be a vampire.

Bro is unaware how good blizzard is, since it’s a frost spell the enemies are super slow and you can cast other spells while it’s active. Maybe not the best spell but putting it at such a low ranking is wild.

He forgot about vampiric grip, it’s literally telekinesis that you can use on people and it drains their health and transfers it to you. By far the most powerful alteration spell but you need to be a vampire lord to use it.

Telekinesis is the BEST spell in the alteration tree for one reason: extremely fast level ups. Cast it on an object, then fast travel and gain levels quickly. The downside is missing out on training opportunities for min maxing, because you jump levels quick. Go too far and you’ll be at level 100 for Alteration in one jump; potentially jumping up a few character levels

He got the enchantment wrong on wind shear it has a bug where every time you swing it has a 100 percent chance to stagger and enemy. If you want the best build or at least most broken build using windshear go to the spiffing brit and look for it there.

Arvak is more reliable than a regular horse however, considering that if ye dies you can just spawn him again, you can also use arvak to clip into areas in the game that would usually be inaccessible until you complete the dungeon, such as tower mzark and the tower near mzinchaleft, he is also the only horse that can be used in the soul cairn or blackreach

Black star will passively level up enchanting. Kill an enemy with a soul trapping weapon, capture the soul, use the soul to recharge the weapon and repeat. Every time you recharge a weapon, you get some enchanting xp. This is why the black star is so useful. Another use is that let's say you need three grand souls. Just go to an easy place like Embershard Mine, kill a bandit, take the black soul, leave, use the soul to enchant an item, come back and repeat.

The turn undead spells are great for leveling restoration even at higher levels you can find lower level enemies from time to time. Circle of protection is completely busted as it regenerates your magic if you have spell absorption. i forget if you need to be a vampire for it to work or not as I almost always play mages as a vampire for the illusion buff and the ring of erudite.

The worst pickpocket skill is the key master. Stealing keys is always easy and if you're a thief character, you're gonna lockpick your way in anyway. Stealing gold, on the other hand, is useful if you want to get your money back from a skill trainer.

What makes dead thrall my favorite conjuration spell is that when the thrall is down you can store an infinite amount of items on their dead body. When you resurrect them they effectively become a pack mule with infinite carry weight.

You can find a spell tome in many places. Once you reach a high enough level, you can find them in dungeons or you can buy them from the master Destruction spell merchant at the college of winterhold

Dagger assassin with invisibility is my favorite build in Skyrim. Way more powerful and rewarding than a stealth archer. Early game is quite difficult but it gets easier quite quickly.

I agree with you on the flame atronach. It can useful in almost any situation. I even use them against frost dragons. The only time I wouldn't use them, would be VS frost mages or casting draugar. In such cases I would use the frost atronach, or something else.

I’m surprised to see wall spells so low on the list. They are easily the most cost effective destruction spells. Great addition for a character that focuses more on hp and armor rather than magicka. Same goes for cloaks.

My big problem with restoration is not much to it, you either heal, ward, or scare away undead. Wards are pretty much useless since enemy mages will quickly break through them. The only fun thing about Restoration is that Poison Rune spell.
