    Me personally not the biggest fan of the bangers.. they are only good on certain types of pavement that’s also really hot. They feel like they are all grip until complete ice.. no in between. In my experience.

    Hey mate, just want to say how impressed I am with your reviews. You have the most in-depth on point reviews of all the channels out there. I have a similar surfy, carving style as you so I'm looking at upgrading to the valk mk3.5 dh trucks.. I'm going with 45/45 and I'm wondering what you think for bushing setup for 98kg guy. I'm thinking il get 93a and 95a bushings to try out.. what do you think? Also iv always road venom bushings do they fit valks well or do I need to go to riptide krank bushings? Thanks bro

    I did not like these wheels at all. I bought them because they are supposed to thane, but mine barely did; it left very faint lines on a warmed up road on one of the hottest days of the year. In that same session, my friend was dumping with roller skate wheels. I've had two other homies get this wheel, for one of them it left tons of thane, and the other one didn't thane at all, so I feel like there must be some inconsistencies in the formula or something. I was stoked for a dumpy mids wheels and I feel like I wasted my money. :(

    Yo try some Sector 9 Nineballs/Topshelves in the 65mm or 70mm round lip shape. They paste fatty lines and are easy to skate at most speeds. Chance Gaul rode them down Angie's Curves in an older raw run and covered the camera lens in thane dust.

    @@launchpadmcquack98Idk if a link will work here, but TGM Skateboards is the EBay seller. The wheels in particular are the '71mm blank longboard wheels' in this brownish orange "clay" color. They've got a bunch of other wheels too, like some 65mm centerset ones that look good. I'm working on a video review of a few mids wheels to summarize which ones are worthwhile.

    This video told me NOTHING about the weight. And the few things you said don't make any sense. If the weight is in the middle it's doing NOTHING to pull you back to center. It would have to be on the other side or it wouldn't pull the other way, if anythign if it's tilted one way the center of gravity is on the side you're leaning to, not the other side. You're really bad at this.

    Something worth noting about the new Leon. It seems like the intention is to also supersede the Rhino KT, as the molds are extremely similar (possibly identical?) and with the width of the new Leon being 9", it's so close to being a Rhino KT that there's no sense in making both.

    Thanks for you insight, I just got a set and I was wondering if you’ve had any experience with the bushings not lining up with the bushing seat? When trying to run talls without a boardside washer, the road side bushing was getting clipped by the top half of the bushing seat. I was using seismic tall bushings. Also the insert is a bitch to get into place. Any experiences with similar things?

  • @ChemTrailSkate
    @ChemTrailSkate3 ай бұрын

    Pretty sure if trucks come with washers boardside it means they are supposed to be there. You probably were throwing the geometry out of line by not running the washer which made the bushing get clipped.

  • @xXGe0rgEXx
    @xXGe0rgEXx3 ай бұрын

    Did you try taking the weight off the new board so you only change one variable? In the video it sounds like you just set up a brand new board with weights and compared it to an old setup. If that's what you did then it's too many changes all at once to tell what the weights were actually doing.

  • @ChemTrailSkate
    @ChemTrailSkate3 ай бұрын

    yep thats what i did 😂 not the best way to do it but oh well

  • @xXGe0rgEXx
    @xXGe0rgEXxАй бұрын

    @@ChemTrailSkate if you only tried those hardware washers you probably only added like 1lb total which isn't that much. I recently tried coated dive weights which are lead and the feeling was immediately noticeable. The board felt like it had more road dampening to it. Depending on how far back the weight was - on/behind my heel vs more underfoot - made a notable difference. Further back felt nicer mid slide, like there was less chunder on the road but kickouts were too easy . Closer to underfoot felt like the board carved with more stability. Not quite like going from cast to precisions but the carve def felt smoother and less jerky. You should try 2-4lb at the very least. Also lower the weight closer to the ground so it opposes your input more by swinging further in the opposite direction of your lean. It's part of the reason why turns feel smoother. If your board is feeling more responsive then the weight is too high up and it increases your center of gravity vs lowering it. This can just add to your speed wobbles vs reduce it if the weight is lower than your pivot cup. Weights done properly are supposed to make twitchy smol bords feel more manageable. I don't fully know the physics of it, just echoing my findings and teachings of a local weight board specialist. Hope you go back and try it again. It's fun to experiment just wish I could mod my setup faster on the hill.
