Coach, do you have any drills that you recommend for this? I cannot get my son out of this habit.

Shin angle different between the uni and bilateral lifts. Not a perfect comparison.

Great explanation, does the hip rotation pre toss simulate the tension your torso should have pre release?

SPU, I have a question. sometimes when I throw a pass, the ball spirals nicely, but instead of flying straight to the target, it flies a bit tilted to the right. like, instead of this | I get this /. instead of a tip pointing at me and the other to my receiver, the tips point to our lefts. what could I be doing wrong?

Generally speaking, you'll lose the nose of the ball to the right if a) your arm is not following down the target line b) your release is a flick of the wrist as opposed to a pronation of the wrist (turning the thumb down and in, which can take a bit to get used to) or C) you've dropped your release point and opened your left shoulder and chest early relative to your hips
