Very impressive. I note that most bikes are 4-strokes only a couple 2-strokes and the 4-strokes appearing to fare better. An interesting observation considering come the 70s the Japanese trial bike invasion and total domination of the 2-strokes.

I have just bought a BSA Bantam D7 set up as a trials bike - does any one know what I need to add to make it road legal to get to some green lanes - horn, number plate (what type? I see some stcut on ones in the video), lights (can these be removable rechargable LED lights?) - great video!

0:30 A rigid James. Great camerawork and commentary. My uncle would've liked a go at this course on his 350 BSA, ex-MOD, he painted it bright orange, with chrome mudguards & nobblies, it looked good. Aye, those were the days.

Goodness the start of this video was a sight to behold with all those polished aluminium tanks an assortment of makes and engines. One of the Bantams had a very crisp engine note. It could have been a modern two stroke with 'almost' performance to match. The Viper was a surprise but there was another big four stroke a bit later (Ariel?). What did surprise me was the Triumph twin. I used a 500cc Triumph twin engine in one of my scrambles bikes (about 50 years ago) and that bike was far to ready to spin the back wheel at a touch of the throttle - not exactly what you want in a trials bike. It was good to see a few dabs and even some fives well into the video as the sections were looking too easy at the beginning. Hey, I was surprised to see that Sammy Miller is still with us (touch wood). He must be nearly 90 now.

Excellent videos. All these old classic bike are they all original trial bikes. I ask this because I have a 1953 BSA C11 in boxes. It’s not worth a lot but could I build it as a proper trial riding bike and compete. I’m wanting to get into the sport and I love the pre 65 classics out there. Many thanks Chris g.
