This is by far the most outstanding of the fantasy and fugue. No other is so powerful and dynamic and yet so transparent. It´s the counterpart to Pogorelich´s English Suites wich is also unique. Thank´s a lot for sharing.

It's all about the fingers. To me the playing is cold and lacks grandeur.

I can never appreciate Cziffra's pyrotechnic and acrobatic virtuoso displays. But in all fairness, his Chopin is always a model of good taste and even restraint. I would not say his Barcarolle is the best ever, but it is certainly very good.

The cziffra is such a perfect pianist. Everyone knows his formidable technique without me mentioning it, and the lyrical melody he creates is so beautiful. It was such a perfect performance.

Fabulous composition---should be in every great pianists repertoire for sure. Cziffra is inimitable & most assuredly 1 of a kind. His book "Cannons & Flowers" remind me of the duality Glenn Gould had ,whose book is aptly titled " The Agony & the Ecstasy " Such is the plight of all we pianists!

He is the only pianist who knows how to play Bach's harpsichord works on the piano. Everything, everything he interprets, he does like nobody else. He said that Bach was his favorite composer and the most difficult to interpret. He was right. But he understood perfectly.

I don't know if anyone mentioned yet or not: But have you noticed that Weissenberg's interpretation of Bach has its own specific signature? It is so unique. It's sounds in a romantic way, the way that Horowitz would perform it, but yet it's not Horowitz; it's Weissenberg.

Read: "Haunting Paris", by Mamta Chaudhry. Her first Novel. Chopin's Barcarolle is "sink" with the story. A Novel but also a study of Paris and France. Both with so much heart!

His interpretation is unparalelled! It is very touching to see him almost cry at the end. After all the hardship he’d gone through to be appreciated abroad as a concert pianist of this caliber must have been a profoundly moving experience. The very fact that he was able to play again, not talking about the technical and poetic level of his playing is a noble example of human resilience and grandeur. Maybe his extreme life experience also added to the depth of his playing. This video need more views!
