Simplicity and beauty. Weissenberg was one of the great ones.

I am watching this interview for the first time in 2020 and have goosebumps. Although French is not among my spoken languages, I felt the deep love between these two towering figures in music. Both Vladigerov and Weissenberg deserve (I intentionally put this in Present Tense) much more attention than they had in their lifetimes. Both are musicians with a philosophical approach in music, which has much more to say than just pleasant tunes composed or played masterfully. Rest in peace! But your music will remain alive!
