This is so amazing! I freaking loved the performance and I loved watching this. Everytime I do, it brings me so much joy! And being able to see Dawn and Tilikum in this just put the icing on the cake. Dawn was an amazing performer, she did so good with the whales and at what she did. She truly had a God given gift to interact with animals, especially these orcas. And Tilikum did so good during the show too!! All the whales did great, but Tilikum was the best of them all at Orlando. He was the king of the splash zone! He sure knew how to get everyone soaking wet! Love this video!!

This was an electrifying performance! The people in the stands, 5500 people they had so much energy and they were so engaged. The whales and the trainers did perfect, everyone was on queue. So much hard work!!! I appreciate it all and I miss believe so much orca encounter is so boring I always wondered if tillikum didn’t kill Dawn would we still have beautiful shows like this. The activist and blackfish ruined this too. What people don’t understand these orcas arnt going anywhere there never going to be “freed” so by less people buying tickets it’s hurting the whales and Seaworld does so much for rescue and conservation

  • @bajorekjon

@@lbabytutorials4852bullshit. Seaworld does nothing for rescue or conservation. They only care about lining their pockets. You definitely bought into their corporate propoganda. They "rescued" tilikum from his home and his family and turned him into a dancing monkey

I wanted to do waterworks with orcas soooo badly for my job. I wish these days would come back, it’s so heartbreaking how PETA’s and Blackfish’s cruel lies have changed the world. Rumours spread so quickly and everyone believes them! The media is nuts. I’d do anything to have these days back. I’ll always support orca parks like I always have.

Kayla was swimming with Dawn and of course that was tillikum at the end doing the big splashes. There where about 10 orcas living there at the time of this recording so it’s hard to tell who the whales are in the beginning it could have been Katina, Kalina, Takara, Tamia but I identified at least two lol

Grow up and understand the trauma for a sentient animal in captivity snatched away from its forever family who were more than probably killed in the process . A money making disgusting tragedy on ever level .. go home have a burger and fries and visit Disney world +virtual reality that's the way forward for you ... leave orcas to swim 100s of miles a day in their family unit in an ocean free .....God bless them all xx

I use to love watching killer whales at see world San Diego. Going to the under water viewing with the glass and you could see how massive these amazing animals are. That said as I grew older and saw more videos on KZread of them in the ocean I realized they don’t belong in tanks for our amusement. The way they stole them years ago from their home and families is sick. These massive whales have never hurt a human in the wild even though they could end us quicker then you can blink. But humans of course haven’t been so kind to these creatures as they are to us when we go visit their home. If you want to see them then go whale watching or even swim with them in the wild with a group of professionals. See worlds hay day was the killer whale’s nightmare.

Seriously, just think about it for a minute and realize how harsh that is. It's not like you're keeping a hyperactive dog indoors. It's an animal that lives in the vastness of the ocean and moves around in a way that humans can't imagine, and an aquarium of that size is the human equivalent of being locked in a one-square-foot cell for the rest of your life.

I just returned from San Diego Seaworld & saw orcas for the first time... yes I agree, with trainers it was much more magical, but then again, no matter how happy & cheerful they look, they were always putting their lives in danger for a good show... I mean ofc I wish it was opposite & that orcas were as friendly as common dolphins

As a surfer, swimmer and biology student, I have such a deep love for the ocean and for all its creatures. I've been lucky enough to swim with dolphins, sharks and whales alike, BUT only in the wild. Cetaceans, in particular, will not attack humans in the wild. In fact, they have a natural instinct to want to be a companion to humans, but again, ONLY in the wild. If your friend put you in a cage for years and made you perform tricks three times a day for food, you would learn pretty quickly to stop seeing them as your friend. That's exactly how these whales feel. We, as humans, really want to have a relationship with these animals, but we cannot have that relationship if we put them in tiny tanks for decades and expect them to still want to be our friends. The SeaWorld trainers really do have a deep, unwavering love for these beautiful orcas, but SeaWorld has let that love cost some trainers their lives by not understanding that you just cannot keep these animals in such tiny facilities, literally a stone throw away from the ocean where they belong

Seeing Dawn like this really moved me. I feel like her life has been hijacked by activists she would not necessarily agree with herself. I personally find that disrespectful. I was anti SW for many years, but I've been listening to former orca trainers and their perspective has made me think harder about that. Joel Beckman in particular shares some pretty good insight on the topic regarding his time at SW.

Yes that's Dawn, He killed her because he was isolated a lot in captivity which made him depressed and he was abused by other orcas, and the day he killed her he was doing a dine with shamu show and he performed one of his tricks correctly and she blew her whistle at him but he didn't hear that so he didn't get rewarded which made him frustrated and to add on to that she was running out of food which made him even more upset so therefore he snapped at her
