The hardest thing I have done lately was listening to this all the way through. I found so many excuses and inspiration. I went through all the trauma. Abuse foster care. I had custody of my brother when I was 19 he was 17 when I got him then my sister she was 14 when I was 19. And had my first 2 kids 4 moths apart plus a bonus kid. I carried that weight with pride and even got into mma where I was alone but succeeding. Then my brother got electrocuted and passed. Right before that I was just became 3rd in michigan at lhw. And was going for middle weight at 185. I kept the fight and tried to keep my mind focused listening to music. I ended up knocking myself out on a corner post but I kept fighting even though I have no recollection of it. Ok that happened went to a dark place. Fast forward now a father of 3 +1 . Tried to move on doing good got sober then my sister overdoses and she dies. The thing that is killing me right now is the hurdle the small wind. I keep trying to find that dog. I really don't know where the beginning is at to face. I want the person who loves the grind. But I don't know where to look at this point. Or even how to face fuck the point in life. Where I gave up on my self and started doing it for my family. You talk about the second voice but I live outside his door and he is inviting me in but I feel like I can't figure out this hurdle I can't walk against this wind. But I what I do hold onto from what you said so to speak. Is my soul can control my mind. Your the first person I have listened to that speaks right to my fucked up mind. God bless you. I was just working out and started to cry half way through.. I feel like I'm a failure to my kids, myself. My parents brutally fought (physically and psychologically) from when I was born until age 11. Blamed it on myself. When I was 11, I ran away.. was arrested. Was beat up in kung fu from age 14-32. Got married at 31.. Joined the military at 32. Almost put a hollowpoint into my face. Was cheated on several times til I had enough. Have full custody of my kids. Am disabled from the Army. Going back to school FT this fall. I've always believed I'm where I'm at in life because of all my own choices. I want comfort, and things to be easy; I want to feel sorry for myself. I finished my workout in tears. Everything David says hits me deep down. Don't ever give up.
For those with no motivation, This is something I will always remember ' You can go ahead and rest and sit on that sofa, but while sitting there just know those days are going to pass anyway. If you don't do it you will reach day 100 and still be the same, or you could be on day 100. By then your mindset is locked in and you notice big change, it becomes easy. Just do it and don't waste your life away, You only live once.
also if you start losing motivation, as Goggins says, you gotta pull up your "who-the-f-am-I resume" in the morning, to remind yourself what you've been through to get you where you are (at the time before probably losing motivation). when he said he _guarantees_ that this will work, I didn't take his words seriously at first. but it works for me, as it turned out.

Life creates some mon-stars pushed down as you try get back up over years eventually you brake some crazy levels in your own mind. I noticed just last couple days how weak the mind can be if not conditioned. Friend mentions tingly fingers she's getting I tell her about mine I use to get the next morning wake up with the tingly fingers back... took me 2 more mornings to click my mind got hijacked... Some how my mind created the old pain it remembered just on my friend having it... I can't help but think that's magic in a way shit magic but magic still what magic is there in this mind when you learn to work it correctly.
