Hey, I'm Caleb Wojcik, creator of Make Better Videos, where I teach filming, editing, & all things video creation.
Creating videos takes a lot of time & you also have to have the right equipment and software, skills to make it look, sound, and feel great, and then there is the whole "being good on camera" part.
Maybe you've made a video or two and they just aren't good enough. You may think...
How can I possibly create something that even comes close to the quality what people see everyday on TV or in movies?
Or even compete with what the pros online are putting out with their big budget, studio produced, and funny videos?
Don't worry. That's why I'm here.
Learning the right techniques, using the correct equipment, & implementing quick editing tricks will make your videos look & sound professional, even if you have an amateur budget.
I've been making videos for over a decade and I've learned what works, what mistakes to avoid, and which gear is really worth what it costs.

am i crazy, or didn you not mention anything about the sound
CapCut PC is a fantastic tool for video editing. One feature I find incredibly useful is the multi-track timeline, which allows me to layer videos, audio, and effects seamlessly. This makes my editing process much more efficient and creative.
Is it a digital camera
How do you up date it I just got one
"This one slides all over the place..." (as he slides it all over the place)
I keep thinking about getting this headrest. The problem is that I bought my chair years ago before the latest round of fabric choices, so mine is "Carbon Balance" which they don't actually sell matching headrests for. When I asked them, they suggested Black Rhythm, Charcoal Rhythm, or Black Sync, but I honestly have no idea which I'd like best or which would even match half-way decently. Its a shame I can't simply compare some samples in-person. Has anyone else had to figure this out?
It is possible to use with OBS ?
I just picked one up for £760 😇
How to solve the backlight solution,?
I just picked this up. Plugged it in. And it doesn’t power up at all. This thing is brand new. Can someone help?
Can you stream to multiple platforms at a same time?
im still undecided if i should get it or not.
Same here...
Brilliant video, it helped me stop running away from AE! Thanks 🤩
I'm 6 foot 4.5 inches and this video MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE MAKING A BIG PURCHASE! So thank you! The Head Rest is a MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE A TALL PERSON IMO. Especially if you are buying this chair with the END GOAL BEING = PERFECT POSTURE. You're going to need the headrest if you haven't been sitting up straight WHY YOU MIGHT ASK? Well your neck muscles are going to be REALLY WEEK for the first week or so of using the chair "Properly" especially for US TALL BOYS, so being able to "rest your neck" WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CHAIR IS AMAZING.
Is the monitor connected to laptop?
Yes
Excellent video, was this originally sent out recently? With the screen recorder tool can you have you camera video you so you can be seen narrating the video? Possibly a stupid question but do they have a solution for a chromebook
Yes, it was briefly live last week, but I had to make an update to the edit. And yes, you can record your WebCam as well.
Your transparency is incredibly inspiring. Thank you, Caleb, for putting yourself out here in the community. You are blessed because you are a blessing. I stumbled over here from X. I am so glad I did!🥰👏🙌🙏 I have a slightly similar client story which made me stop webcasting for a while. Starting in 2011 I began producing/editing webTV shows because of a video suite of tools I was selling at the time. It had a web show. I created my show and got entrepreneurs to come to my makeshift studio and talk about their business. I even won an award for supporting business owners. This one guest in particular encouraged me that the show was valuable and that pole would pay to be on it. In the meantime, we finished her interview and released it. She later told me she had never watched it and that she had got sick. Duh, it's the internet. The content is evergreen. That thing upset me so bad that I just couldn't do it anymore. I also had a good friend die. He had a 4-month-old and two younger kids and a wife. Unlike you there was no money loss involved but my feelings were hurt. Actually, my finances were not that great at all during that time. I didn't even have a car - yeah it was repossessed. I saw a counselor too and was so excited to keep that appointment every week or every other week (I don't remember) on the bus🚌no less! Well, I'm long past that and excited for my future as I face retirement from the 9to5. I am excited to launch into the deep water and catch a big fish or 10.😄🎣🤑 Thanks again!
the up and down of mine doesn't seem to stay after a few months of using the head rest. If I raise it now, it just slides down :(
Thanks, Caleb, for your honesty and sharing your experience. As a father of triplets who were born when our first child was two (now 36 and 38 years old), I totally understand. Keep up the great work and, as a long-time subscriber to your channel, I look forward to following your progress.
I’m new here to this subscribe!!
Hello sir, I wanted to ask, the Newman tlm 103 has been used in professional studios such as for Animes/Video Games, would you say the rode nt 1 signature series is also in that same range? Where it could be used for something on a very high professional level? (With proper acoustic treatment)
Great video. Nice to hear from you after all this time. Really interesting journey. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Caleb, so great to see you back! I've got to say, I believe your voice and insights are sorely needed in this space. Thank you for sharing, and you've absolutely got me (and plenty more) cheering you on. We've all had low spots, and will continue to grind through them. My opinion, that's life. Not good or bad, simply how things can go. What helps? Honestly, looking at your family and knowing they love you and are counting on you. Feel that weight, it's appropriate. For me personally, my faith in God. Hi to Jen, so looking forward to what you have to share.
I only make around $21,000 a year poverty and I try my best to spend money on this channel only to get no views. I could be invesing instead. So I'm pulling back and saving and investing more as of now since nobody is watching☹️.
I purchased a Steelcase gesture from them. fully loaded for around 900 during a sale. good place to buy a chair from specially if you want to save some money.
love this - you're the real deal
Thanks man.
This is exactly what my life needs ❤🎉❤, I can’t wait!
I'd love to hear from you in the comments a story from either a time you burned out or how you recovered from burning out. Let's help each get back on our feet. Watching your video after years
Im considering a steadicam instead of a gimbal for my shortfilms & music videos. Hope this would be a great investment!
Let's GOOOOOOOOOOO 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hey, just got my K8 and wanted a setup tutorial, this is literally the first thing I'm typing with it. Ended up watching the whole video, super informative and even relaxing. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Dude doesn’t answer anything in the comments 😂
I try to. What’s your question?
I now know I joined Caleb’s journey during “phase 2”!
🤙🏽
Hey…get off my toes! 😂 I love this idea and it makes me squirm in a good way. Sounds like just what I need right now, tbh, and I’ve loved your instructive/documentarian style content in the past. Thanks for sharing!
That’s the goal! Trying to encourage myself and others to share more than they are used to sharing because of who else they could potentially help. I don’t like talking about myself or bragging, but I do want to be more open about what’s working for me and what’s not.
Dude, you have no idea how much this hit with me. I need to get on more BTS.
I think it’s honestly one of the biggest regrets of my career the past ten years. Not documenting what I’ve been doing along the way.
@@CalebWojcik Ya, I agree and constantly think about how much I've missed documenting. At NAB this year, I can't even count conversations with people encouraging me to do it. I'm not sure why I don't, maybe not enough in the tank (2 little ones too), and the irregularity of my production schedule, and so on.
How we can set reverb
This is great to see/hear! Already subbed on Apple Podcasts and will definitely drop a review there after the first episode. Any future plans to make the podcast available on a separate YT channel as well either audio only or eventually with video as well? Particularly with guests I really like the video podcast format. And obviously you would be a good fit for that.
I plan to do every episode on video at the moment. Both the solo episodes and the ones with guests.

I want to earn enough to pay the bills and have enough to buy a week's worth of chocolate milkshakes.....but not all at once...so may need a little extra gas money if I drive back and forth... ...ehh, never mind...I'll go by cargo bike.
Couch to milkshakes. I’m on board for that.
@@CalebWojcik ...I somehow knew you were a man of science. Keep working....the rewards await!
So happy this is available now! The covert art is DOPE and so you man! I love it, can't wait for more episodes!
Awesome! Thank you!
Very cool...very exciting...very well done. tHanks for the video.....wishing you all the best!
Ha! Think I commented yesterday and now you’re back!!
Yes I am! Been focusing on other work the past few years, but I'm back like Jordan wearing the four five.
Hell yea! Welcome back! Looking forward to it ;-)
Hey, thanks! Former guest alert 🚨
Welcome back and congratulations on the new chapter! Really looking forward to it!!
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to say that.
Good to see you back!
Thanks man!
Great to see you start this! Been following you for some bit since the early Fizzle days. Always loved you down-to-earth vibe, so curious to see how this plays out!
Thank you. Can't believe it has been almost 10 years since I was working at Fizzle.
Thank u sooo much! Love this keyboard to death but the Bluetooth is finicky. I also need a clean setup and prefer wireless
I haven’t really had any issues with Bluetooth connecting to multiple computers quickly. And I run it wirelessly all the time. Just use the cord to charge it.
thats fake, HM chair would not sent to you by parts
It's a refurbished older model. Herman Miller doesn't sell these anymore buster
@@TweakedYTno, thats totally fake
It’s not fake. Crandall furniture dissembles them, fixes them, and resells them.
@@CalebWojcik its fake

I need only one battery, nothing more because I use it with a power bank always connected to the Sony using the USB cable, from the power bank output to the Sony USB Micro port input, in that way, there is no need at all to buy MANY BATTERIES as you explained, the battery always keeps charged and I spend different days shooting until the power bank needs to be recharged. Then, I keep using the camera with the battery which was all the time charged from the power bank and in this way, there is no risk of running out of battery, never. Thank you very much for your video, great work! Greetings from Germany.
Hi, you just answered the question I had - does the arm rotate left-right - and now I know - it doesn't! But there is some sort of adapter. Great, thx!!
