I imagine you figured this out already, but that screw that you weren’t sure what is for is to mount the shotgun shock mount onto the cameras hot shoe. That way you don’t need the handle mounted if you don’t want.

Yeah. Feels horrible. I’m looking at the Kondor Blue handle. Apparently the record button may work via the Lanc cable?

It took me to the end of the video to realize you actually bought the camera compared to other youtubers that was sent the camera. I was like, "Oh, that means it might be in stock somewhere." Thanks for the buying tips.

How is the C70 compare to c100 II please :)

I watched this entire video and found it super amazing lol. Yes the chalky feel is so strange. It certainly makes the camera more “grippy”. Love this camera. Will be a workhorse for the next 4-6 years easy.

@@CalebWojcik Using an EOS R now, and have just finished investing in all my glass. So this next year I’ll probably be moving to R5, but since the C70 came out I’ve been intrigued. Not sure a full film setup is right for my needs, but as I’ve been taking video more seriously it’s something I’m thinking about.

Having a dedicated video camera vs. a hybrid is a tough choice but I really like the cinema line. Really depends on your needs.

Excellent advice on where to purchase it. I really would love to have an excuse to buy one, but for real estate my R6 and EOS R do the trick. Looking forward to watching your hands on review. Thanks!

Semi unrelated, but ProCam is awesome. I’ve always gotten great service from them.

I actually saw it in my overhead camera while recording the unboxing and right away I thought, "yep, that's the thumbnail".

So dope hey!! Definitely a bit beefier then I originally thought it was going to be. But after using it, feels just right 👌👌

Yeah, it feels good. Even a bit front heavy with certain lenses on it which is a first for a “cinema” camera.

@@CalebWojcik Absolutely! Took me a little bit to get used to after using the C200. But after changing the front wheel to ISO and the WFM button to record. I feel way more at home.

Hey Caleb! You should totally compare it to the Komodo, I know a lot of people are debating between the two. I’d love to meet up and let you test out mine. I know we live close to each other! :)

If I didn’t get the a7siii I might have considered this or the new red komodo.

Yeash, I don’t know why Canon is going with that chalking textured thing on their bodies. My C300iii had the same feel. It’s worn off now and it feels like my c200 did but it was a strange texture out of the box

Me neither. I literally hesitate before picking it up by the top handle right now. It’s a horrible material to touch.

I agree the handle material is not something that I would like to have. C100 handle feel is much better. C70's looks and feel cheap.
