I love his pots and also how he talks about them in the film you made of him years back.
God Bless on your journey ... I don't find them too morbid - even if they are obviously cadavers and remains of lost life, they are still incredibly interesting, and you make them sing ... I find all of nature fascinating - and death is not a downer at all for those of us with faith and assurance in our immortality - quite the reverse! Thanks, Goldmark - for all you do.

What a wonderful find! Im pleased to have seen this free spirit! Inspiring!
such an adorable human she is, she melts my heart 🥰 thank you for the movie
Thank you Mike Dodd. You have inspired me to think deeply about my own life and my own work. Since that one day I stumbled on you, I have always reflected on how beautiful your art is. I love your stories on how you grew to being a great potter and human. I felt your compassion relating to how we should respect to all life and becoming a vegetarian. I became vegan in 2012. It meant so much to me to hear you express what it means. I loved your stories about your daughter and other great potters you’ve had the pleasure to meet. I have been making my own pottery since 1997, as a non traditional student here in South Texas, and a single father. Although I thought I was going to study in some other major, I kept finding a love in the arts. Unfortunately, I have been struggling to win my battle with cancer, I could never regret my love and choice in pottery. I wish I could travel back in time and found this love sooner in life, I am so grateful to have found your passion, inspiration and love of sharing with the world, the great Mike Dodd. Be well, vegan and passionate always. ~ Marko Vegano Madrazo Congratulations on your life achievements ❤
Many thanks for taking the trouble to leave this message.
These are the guys who absolutely inspire me as a young pottery. I mean, those textures, those forms, those colors. It's all just...refined
Thank you
A wonderful tribute to Mike and his dedication to making pots as well as living a life of observation of the tiniest details. His work is an honour to see. Grateful to all of you at Goldmark Gallery for opening your doors to the world, from a delighted viewer in the Canadian Rockies.
Thank you for your kind words and so glad that you enjoy our films.
An exceptional body of work with illuminating commentary, thank you for the effort.
Wow such a wonderful video
Thank you so much
A lovely, loving documentary of a lovely man and his lovely pots. The individual narrating the walk-through was spectacular, and really got to the essence of Mike, his philosophies of making art, pottery, and our relationships to the world. Very enjoyable. Thank you!
Our pleasure!
Wish I could see these pots and meet you all in person. Who is carrying on this tradition of making pots this way? Momentum kick wheel, local materials, mark making, and his forms… the shapes of his pots are just right. Thank you for the walk around.
Congratulations Mike ! Best wishes Helena, Avoca, Ireland
No I goddamn didn't
This is an amazing documentary about an artist who paints what and how he wants regardless of any modes. I enjoyed listening to his wisdom about art and life. Thank you very much Graham Boyd for your delicate messages about art.
Our pleasure!
Beautiful video, and wonderful ending. Thanks for producing it, and thanks Mike Dodd!
Thank you
"Bought this farm in my early 20's with a small family" bruuhhh...what?!?
Man I'm 19 and there's nobody in my friend group who loves these type of songs....🥲🥲
We're here for you 🙌
Inspired love this 😍
Sid's a legend
Absolute brilliance.
There's noone like him
Lovely, just plain lovely. Thank you very much for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Oh, I really like Oliver! And I like his art, as well.
We do too!
Un beau travail de potier
Merci
It is an honour to see Mike's work and hear the joy in his voice when speaking about his pots. The Goldmark film, "Potter" touched my heart and I'm grateful. The very best to all of you from the Rockies in Canada.
First!😀
I love this channel! Fascinating documentaries and walk-throughs, obviously you put a huge amount of work into them. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
what I like about this video is that the aesthetics are not forced upon, so called based on "being moral", that dictates what's right and wrong, which is pervasive teaching in Korean art education in general, including pottery. In terms of "mastery", there might be right or wrong, but it keeps one away from feeling what's beautiful personally, the personal conversation and journey with clay. Her way of approach made me see that. So much thanks to her and the video :)
Thank you for your thoughtful words
I love these Goldmark films of my favorite potters. Well done.
Thanks for taking the time to write
Such a fine performance, remembering the horrendous injustice, CW uses his talent wonderfully.
Chris Wood is a great performer
Did Picasso make them or did the young photographer just use his masks as a template?
Gosh! what joy. After watching this vid I realise slowly the scales begin to fall from my eyes. I watch the European tea drinkers, self-conscious of an unfamiliar ritual and feel it too. I hesitate to continue watching then you draw me back in with such lovely detailed explanations of the individual pots and then the facts that many are a signature of the potter ,he can do what he likes ,there are no rules for self expression. Absolutely wonderful and beautifully presented, many thanks . I feel a little more enlightened today.
Thank you for your insightful comments.
The thought that a better firing was possible is quite unimaginable
We agree!
Wow. I have never seen such original interpretations of the moon jar. These look like eggs! It feels like birth, transformation and a celebration of living. To think she was destined to do this (I think so), and she found it by accident. By refusing to be unhappy, and then by a happy accident. I wish her every happiness. Her work is very moving and very unique. 💪🏼 💕
We're glad you enjoyed the film
❤❤❤❤❤❤amo su arte
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Deeply wondrous and beautiful ❤ thank you
Our pleasure!
A masterpiece. This song and PJ Harvey's All and Everything, are the most haunting and evocative songs about World War I that I've heard.
We agree!
nice
Very nice
Allen Ginsberg was a NAMBLA supporter.
This film was one of a number commissioned by my uncle, James Lillie-Costello, when he was Public Relations Manager at Shell. He and his wife were Roman Catholics. And I think Shell were also involved in Coventry Cathedral, thanks to him. I think Shell may have paid for the glass for both cathedrals?
