The bones of the house are spectacular! The decor is just tacky. A simple plan always works best. A stately home deserves classic, sophisticated, yet clean and modern decor. It's too busy on the eye.

I toured the home as it was being redone before he moved in. Obviously it is his home but I disagreed with many of the changes the the designers were doing. The beautiful wood shelf library was removed. The wine cellar vault was cut open. I would have had more respect for the 3:24 the home. I could understand not spending 250k on repairing the pipe organ though. 😅 Hope he's happy in the D.

People, people, PEOPLE!! NONE of you have ANY IDEA what you've babbled about!! This video was taken either right before or after this house was renovated and HUGELY over, over decorated for the Junior League of Detroits Designer Show house in 2018. Harper had nothing whatsoever to do with the vast majority of the interior "design". I went through it while it was being "renovated" and was at the charity preview when it was done. I also know people at the Junior League and Harper didn't buy ONE STICK of furniture or ANY of the decor from the many Designers. Here's the tea......what I heard about how he was to work with was NOT good........at all. Millions had to be spent on the property but he also took out at least 5 of the original Fisher family bedrooms across the front of the house and put in an ultra, ultra modern, easily 40 ft. (or so) long, island in their place that had a complete kitchen in it that COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED the historic integrity of the entire 2nd floor. And the city let him p_ss all over zoning ordinances for quite a while and pimp out the 1st floor & basement of the house to have paid parties at which enraged the neighbors repeatedly. That's come to a stop, I think, after they complained vociferously about it repeatedly.

This has got to be the most magnificent, AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFULLY decorated Mansion/Home that I have ever seen! It has SO MUCH energy, a great vibe, excitement, personality, creativity and comfort to it. I never see a remodeled or decorated home where I like the whole thing! That has never happened so this is saying something! First of all, I think Mr. Harper’s taste is OUTSTANDING! And oddly enough [because I don’t know him personally], several of the rooms looks/seems just like him! They tend to fit his personality. (From what I’ve seen in the Media). I love the fact that each room has it’s own, distinct personality and vibe. With this sort of flow, he’ll never get bored! He simply just needs to visit a different room, adapt and chill. 😃😄 #HillHarper
