    Is completely discharging Ni-MH batteries before recharging them a good or bad thing?

  • @TheTenergybattery
    @TheTenergybattery6 күн бұрын

    Discharging a Ni-Mh battery before recharging it is fine, just remember to not leave an empty battery inside a device or it can over-discharge which is not good for the battery.

    @@TheTenergybattery Thanks for the answer but let me explain better because I didn't explain myself well: When the camera turns off because the batteries are exhausted (exhausted for the camera), I take out the batteries and connect them to a small incandescent light bulb and I leave them connected until the light goes out completely, then I recharge them. Is it correct or is it better to recharge the batteries as soon as I take them out of the camera without completely discharging them with the light bulb method?

    What is the best storage voltage for both Nimh and Nicd, pls?

  • @TheTenergybattery
    @TheTenergybattery18 күн бұрын

    Generally it's recommended to store the battery around 40-50% charged. For Nimh and Nicd the voltage will be around 1.28V-1.2V. If you're unsure and would like more info, please reach out to our team with your battery pack's specifications at [email protected] and our team can help provide more info.

    Bravo, very good info but it is still tough to determine the differences in the what you call PCB cell versions (BMS internal circuitry) to those without. We are still in the Wild West when it comes to specs and capacity is a gamble with so much exaggeration. You almost have to get sample cells and test them for capacity. I got off on the 26650 cells and find that most have less capacity than the 18650 cells plus the Hype about capacity say that some are 12,000 mAh when they are ! 1000 mAh. Are there vendors that fully states the true capacities and whether they are raw cells or PCB type cells? Thank You.

    What about a 1 cell Lipo battery?? How do you discharge them?? Also storage charge. This is why they don’t last long for me. I have so many. Either I forget or don’t have time to check every battery. Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thank You!!

    Been looking for a video on how to discharge or storage charge a 1 cell Lipo battery. Of course you’re not able to balance them. Made a comment on Horizon Hobbies ultra micros. I hate 1s batteries. Because they don’t last long. They said because you have to discharge them and if not using them. Storage charge them. But don’t say how.. If anyone see’s this. Some advice would be appreciated!!!

    No balancing a 1s. NO Storage charge on these 1s just use the 3.83 Per Cell storage volts for LIPO batts. To charge/discharge you have to connect to the octopus directly. You will still use the correct chemistry . The Amps discharge should be 10% of MAH, if 400Mah/0.4amps then. Mine does a good job but finishes with just a touch higher than what I store at Per Cell. No matter how, try for the 3.83 volt storage level.

    5 27 24 with a plan to google for a tb6b manual more comprehensive than the one that came with it last week ... 1'st tho was to query u-t .... and your vid was at the top of the hits so was viewed. and it covered the features i was used to using with other brands of chargers. especially liked how you talked what was going on as you pushed the buttons. with your vid viewed the product manual was re-visited. and now i had confidence that the other matters it covers will be easily learned too. wish list : 1. charge max 2.0 amp 2. ability to charge 2 batt. packs at once

    One question, might sound silly but is there any specific way to store these batteries for a long time,E.G. if the battery is not being used for a few months, do I store them at the minimum voltage or maximum voltage

  • @TheTenergybattery
    @TheTenergybatteryАй бұрын

    Greetings, that's a great question! For long term storage, like a few months, we suggest storing battery packs that are nimh or nicd at 80% charged. If it's a lithium based battery pack, we suggest 30% instead. Feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you have any additional questions.
