I work doordash to pay for meals each day and deleted the kitchen etc. Less is more. Everything u can get rid of is less weight, which equals more fuel economy. Im down to a toiletry bag, a 60L bag, and 2, 40L bags that all fit in the trunk. Your life will get way better with less clutter

You think you would really die from that? I can see the top isnt really really far from ground. If one slipped most of it isnt completely vertical. And it is kind of gravel or someone put a couple pads at the bottom?

Hey Ahle, congrats on the send, but I hope you understand that LUCK played a huge role in you not landing in the hospital. Yes, rock climbing will always have inherent risk, but whenever you're working a climb with high risk or high consequences of failure, you should always find ways to decrease them - ex: climb it on toprope if possible, or watch beta videos of others climb it so you're not guessing which holds to grab at the top. I totally get that highball bouldering can be highly rewarding, but no one who boulders highballs should ever appear as insecure as you did on this video.

There was a woman in our neighborhood who was an aficionado of chainsaws. She collected them and even had names for them. One day she was cutting a tree. Neighbors noticed the chainsaw noise stop at some point. She was found sandwiched under the trunk of the tree.

I am fortunate that everyone I have climbed with overcame their egos and wore helmets. As one that lived through many careers that depended on safety first, I understand how cumbersome many safety items can be. But a helmet is high benefit to low risk. Especially since you are “bouldering” way too high and your group is too inattentive. But it is your life, I just wish you respected it more.

I've been watching Ahle's videos lately and she's a real enigma.. why wouldn't these guys wear helmets? Reminds me of one time I was waiting at a crosswalk and a girl on a motorcycle wearing minimal protective gear got smoked right in front of me by a relatively slow moving car running the light. That was a messy scene and proper protective gear would've made a big big difference. One slip on that boulder and life will suddenly be a lot different.

typically you don't need helmets for bouldering, it's more of an alpine loose rock kind of thing. have you considered a top rope? I don't know about that red velour upholstery the guy that's screaming stay f*&king calm probably needs to take his own advice

Congrats! Yes, there's going to be a big rush when you feel you are doing something very dangerous, but that doesn't mean you should disregard safety for the thrill of the feeling. The most skilled person could have climbed the boulder first and attached a rope at the top so people following could attach to it as a safety break. Then you could focus more on the technicals of the climb with much less intrusive thoughts of the height danger. It would seem to make more sense to first use ropes when scaling a high place you are unfamiliar with and only doing free style once you're already comfortable. To try it out brand new and still not sure about the grips is adding tons of risk. Have fun, but also be safe!

Tempting fate, for something you love, as a follower of jesus i dont agree, but i feel like you are looking for something in life(This thrill helps satisfy it) and i hope you find it. You are really strong, cant wait to see that power in another way less dangerous. I care for your safety been around for a loooong time and hate to see you pass away, and all that power wasted. Sorry if you are mad or annoyed at me, but i better say how i feel before i never can again in this life.
