  Its not 'dirt'. Its residue from cooked food. It needs soap and water regardless or you will be attracting ants and roaches to your counter tops at night. Just because you wiped off what you can see does not mean there isn't oils left behind. If you steam off the stuck bits, wipe it off withva soapy sponge. Your stomach and behind will than you.

  Hot water WONT crack the toilet unless you're using boiling water. Hot water from tue faucet is perfectly fine and won't do any damage. In fact FAUCET Hot water and dish soap is the best NON-chemical to fix a slow flushing toilet.

  The mixture of baking soda, water, vinegar, and added dishwasher detergent will work great on the bottom of the oven. However, it is very difficult to remove the paste mixture if use on the top or the back area to clean grease. I would not recommend it.

  I use Ortho Home Defense and spray it around the outside perimeter of my home once a month. I’ve never had problems with ANY bugs. When we clean (every two weeks) we do find dead spiders or centipedes that seemingly cross the threshold of the bug spray but they are always belly up and dead! It definitely works for us!!
