    How "squeezy" is the elastic waistband on the Rabbit Speedsters, compared to the Janji and Nike? Did you notice any difference that would warrant sizing up/down if you were between sizes?

  • @wundulo
    @wundulo11 ай бұрын

    Speedsters has the least amount of five of the three. The sizes are more or less the same however, I wear men’s small for all of them. It’s interesting because Rabbit bottoms tends to run big for me, but speedsters is spot on.

    Thanks for this review - regarding the Nike Aeroswift 2022 shorts, how many SiS gels can you fit in the pocket at the back? (I assume you can't fit any in the side pockets..?)

  • @wundulo

    I would say at least 3-4 comfortably on the back pocket. The internal pockets are too small to fit a gel

    Finally! Thank you for the review of the updated Nike Aeroswift half tights! Most reviews on KZread are still regarding the 2021 version. I’ve read conflicting reviews on different websites. Some say the back pocket can fit the iPhone, others say it can’t. I guess it really depends on which model one is using. Mobile phones have been an essential part of our life for more than a decade, not to mention gels that have always been a standard part of marathons. You have to wonder why it took so long for these companies to add something as simple as a pocket 🙄

    I agree. Way too much drop. Way too much rubber on the Ghost 14. These Brooks seem extremely durability, but my experience with running shoes is the foam breaks down & looses its dynamic properties WAY before the outsole rubber wears out. I guess outsole durability is still a plus since retired running shoes (non-plated) can worn casually as long as the outsole is still solid. Hey just curious... have you had any interest in picking up Nike's latest Brick line .... errr Zoomfly line? The ZF5 has been getting slammed by reviewers. You are one of the few ppl who seem to genuinely like the ZF4. I think ZF5 sales are extremely poor which is why some colorways are already on clearance. I'm curious how much softer the recycled ZoomX + SR02 carrier foam in the ZF5 is compared to your current ZF4. Lots of competition in this plated speed day/training shoe segment. Asics Magic Speed 2 releasing next month. Endo Speed 2 & 3 are ever popular. And Takumi Sen 8 seems to have a much more better mindshare than the non-plated Streakfly.

  • @wundulo
    @wundulo Жыл бұрын

    Good question. I have been thinking about ZF5, my main concerns are 1) the added weight and 2) ZoomX + SR02 foams. The Invincible feel heavy already, and ZF5 weight even more, ouch. Then the Vomero 16 has same type of combo and it rides very clumsy unlike pure ZoomX midsoles. But if there is a sale going on, I don't mind picking up a pair to review. My ZF4 is almost end of life anyway.

  • @EricS-uf9mv
    @EricS-uf9mv Жыл бұрын

    @@wundulo The camo colorway is down to $119.88 at runningwarehouse. Not exactly blowout pricing but still surprising for a $160 shoe that released last month. I'd be interested in hearing your direct comparison of the ZF4 & ZF5, as both these shoes on clearance... but don't waste money you wouldn't normally spend jus to make (unpopular) content. RE: Weight - yeah the ZF5's increased weight is mindblowing. Nike must be painfully aware that weight & poor foam characteristics are the 2 major criticisms for the ZoomFly line. Yet they STILL increased weight and performed a bait & switch regarding the foam. It's baffling to be honest! You'd almost think the team in charge of this line is intentionally trolling their customers in some type of social marketing experiment to see how far u can push ur customer before they totally abandon a brand line.

  • @wundulo
    @wundulo Жыл бұрын

    @@EricS-uf9mv Ok maybe not that color :) But I want to get a pair eventually when the price drops. Maybe the prior gens of ZF were too good and some used them as race day shoes alternatives. It's hard to justify $160 on ZF5 while Streakfly is same price, and pegasus turbo nature even cheaper.

    Nice analysis and really interesting data points concerning power measurements. My cadence & avg stride length also varies, even when running similar times, depending on shoe type/technology. I find the more rigid the plate & the more bouncy the foam in a given shoe results in a longer stride length and lower cadence as measured by running dynamics. This also seems to translate into feeling less tired & less beat-up at the end of hard efforts... although 'feelings' are literally subjective so all this could simply be due to supershoe bias.

  • @wundulo
    @wundulo2 жыл бұрын

    Good point. I often neglected one of the main advantages of running in super shoes is how much they protect the legs from hard effort and speed up recovery.

  • @EricS-uf9mv

    I wonder if you've thought about trying the Alphafly's, or maybe you already have since this vid is nearly a yr old? It seems the airbag + ZoomX + plate in the Alphas leads to MUCH longer mid-sole bouce longevity than only ZoomX + plate found in the Vaporflys. The longer wear of Alphaflys might make up the price jump between models, but I suppose shoe fit/feel is the #1 deciding factor in choosing between Vapors or Alphas.... I hear more ppl complaining about fit & feel issues with the Alphaflys even though most ppl feel they offer a slight performance edge over the Vaporflys.

    Good question. I got the AF since they first came out in 202, did a virtual race but didn't enjoy them. Fast forward 2 years, I raced a half marathon in AF yesterday and still prefer the VF for half/full distances, because I am a more cadence runner, the VF seems to yield better performance. AF is a powerhouse though, I just can't use them to its full potential!
