Well this is certainly a cool video:)
Had one in a mercury cougar RX7 loaded with options a traveling salesmans car 200k highway miles ran like had 50k would fly good compression no blow-by today millions of cars with way over 200k for a 70s car unbelievable. It needed some front end work that's all. It was complete a man purchased it from me in 1984 to restore with it's options it was one of one made. Dark blue white vinyl top. It's still around saw it at a Ford event in 2017 looked new told new owner history about the milage and I drove it to highschool. I got first call if he ever sells it. A 1 of 1 made because of that options . I was happy it didn't have gt wheels I put in it because it was a hubcap car.
Leave the stock intake valves in and inlarge the exaust valve so the flow will be more in line with the opening
Im gettin one😂
Great to see Akron Arlen Vanke at the beginning od this video.
What I would give to have DV poke around my 302,,,,, actually I know what I would have to give. It rhymes with dummy. As I in "pay up dummy". Whatever the cost is would be the most well spent money I dropped into the cat lol.
"Super Stock"?? This motor sounds WAY too mild to be a super stock engine... 🤷🏻
A simple heat shield may do the trick.
Factory intake please. And yes please continue testing. I need parts!
Just think what the torque would be with that engine if it had a David Vizard spec’d 106° LSA cam instead of the compromised present 110° LSA cam. His 700R4 wouldn’t last very long!
And yes I like your video it very informative
Yes but your car doesn’t weight anything compared to the other car you were racing
👍💥👌
I stopped watching pro motor sports 20 years ago when it became political and corporate run
Very well said Andy. I don't know what the rules are at different tracks, but as I see it an 11.50 1/4 mile is a really fast car. At our local track in Tulsa, that's the fastest you can run before they make you install a roll cage unless your car is 2015 or newer. As I wouldn't want to put a roll cage into a car I actually use, I see that as an upper limit for performance. Now for a race car, sure 11.50 isn't that great, but I'm not interested in trailering a car everywhere. My guess is that Casper is a mid 11's truck, which is fast enough to beat the vast majority of cars that actually show up to the track. That's another thing, I have seen some really powerful cars on my dyno, yet these guys don't show up at the track.
Undisclosed cam spec's make this entire show a waste of time for me.
The specs are laid out later.. hint Andy
Interesting!
The real Motors of yesteryears is Gone forever As Ford isnt smart enough to bring them back And there all proud Coyote with a 3.62 bore and a 3.62 stroke is No 5.0 Mabe in japan it is But Nowhere close Or ever close to the real motors of yesteryears Then Ford says the old Boss 302 is back Really Spare us Ford in Down Gradin a True Ledgen Next will be a so called Boss 351 just watch and see For me its SbFs and Clevelands But theres Not Manny of them left and is Sad
Video of riding?they W/o mods?
Great info, I just wish one place could tell me how to build my Bronco 351M into a 400 with around 300hp daily driver.
Great info thank you. How do I get access to DV’s cam program to determine which cam will work best for my sbc 383?
Are you measuring overlap using the .050 or .006 lift numbers?
It's overlap @ .006" Thanks for watching Andy
@@UnityMotorSportsGarage thanks Andy! I was going to say, my fairly aggressive cam would’ve had 14° overlap. Lol I have another question, DV’s LSA formula is based on 10.5 to 1, is there a way to modify or adjust it for lower/higher compression ratios?
@jimmy_olds normally for every point of compression more the LSA spreads by 1 deg. Same with lower compression one point less tightens the LSA by one degree Hope this helps Andy
@@UnityMotorSportsGarage good stuff, Andy! Thanks!!
10 4 to that !
I think your trick is friggin awesome brother!!!
I appreciate that! Andy
I am doing a N/a Ls3 swap in a 03' Crown Vic Police Interceptor. 6L90E. And I will be upgrading the breaks and such. I am not building a race car. I am building a burnouts and ice cream build. That car should be so fun and blow off the tires at will.
That sounds fun! Andy
Skirted block more like a fe
Thank you for your knowledge and videos USA 🇺🇸 TRUMP
Great video!
Thanks Brother! I hate that I missed you at the shop.. I didn't know you were there until we were pulling out. Andy
Build to your weakest link, be it transmission, axle shafts, u-joints, etc. Always have a weak link you can change easily and economically. Personally, I chose u-joints since I have tall tires. Slip and grip situations means you need more than a heavy foot to drive it on questionable terrain to get back home with no more than a little trail rash.
It was great to see a couple races. Better than none at all. 😊
Well I appreciate y'all coming.. I will definitely let you know when I test the CASPER-MATIC Andy
Got in late, but still had fun! Thanks for the shout out bud! See you again next time!
I'm really glad that y'all came. Andy
I love mini bikes I'm 250, Ty Subbed
Top end? UpGrade? Ty andy
There is definitely a limit to everything. Is it safe and can you easily drive it? Does it become a chore to drive? Do you break components often? Do you build it, yet find yourself driving something else? Have you slaved over that vehicle and found it's no fun anymore? At some point, the quest loses its enjoyment. Some of the most fun i've had has been in low horsepower cars, that i could drive right to their edge without killing the car or myself. Lol
Union County Dragway, next stop for the Southeast Gassers.
Yup and it will be an awesome show! Thanks for watching Andy
That thing runs pretty good
Ole Clark does pretty well for what it is.. Thanks for watching Andy
Just remember you dropped the octane a few numbers when you do it
Awesome video
Thanks! Kaidyn did awesome.. Andy
Thanks for the update.
Looked like a great day, beautiful weather, and great drags, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks for watching. It was a great day for drag racing! Andy
Has any one spun out here today? no! immediately spins
YUP... We had to find the limit! 😆
I'm a Chevy guy but I'd love to have a fox body
Andy, great video! Curious if you have used this same method of seeing what you engine wants while using the Progression Ignition distributor?
The wood grain is the icing on the cake.
6.50! That is killing it. 😮
It just screams go! 😱
I'm happy that I was able to get my Fox Body 1988 Rust free Mercury Cougar XR-7 with the 5.0L in it but it is a far cry from Micah and his wagon 😊
Style 🤙
