Ok in defense of Spotify (as an ex-Spotify YTmusic user): It's UI is the best on the market It's features are the best on the market Probably no other service makes better playlists Inflation?? Especially since Covid, everyone is raising prices while dude is complaining about a mere 1$ increase💀

The UI is trash. The features usefulness are circumstantial. Spotifys playlists are trash and shuffle is always in discussion for how trash it is. People make their own playlists. I’d complain about a penny I’m the customer I’m allowed to do that. If you’re used to companies shoving their balls in your mouth that’s on you,I’m not. I prefer companies add more value for more money. You conveniently left out another point. Dry your mouth

It's not the Spotify that's having a downfall, it's ALL music streaming services (Benn Jordan basically made your video, but much better). Part of the problem is their unwillingness to pay the artists, instead putting their money on improving features. Another part of the problem are consumers like you, who think that paying $12/month is too much. It creates a vicious cycle... My problem is you make decent, but shallow points, the kind of points that i already heard about in countless other videos. On top of that you go on tangent stories (e.g. about the mp3 players). I'm tired of creators NOT doing deep, meaningful research, instead opting for regurgitation of whatever everyone else is saying.

I didn’t read your whole comment just the top and bottom. So because you watched multiple videos on the topic I can’t voice my opinion because it’s been talked about? It’s called a “common sentiment”. Multiple people have a shared similar experience. Usually means these things are true. You would understand that if you formed your own opinion instead of just trying to say the opposite of everyone else. I don’t do research because I’m not a journalist. I experienced the things I talk about in my actual life. I didn’t read about it or watch KZread videos to get to my conclusion. I was a paying customer of Spotify for years. What I’m saying is hard for you to swallow and it’s free to watch but Spotify takes money from you each month and that’s not too much to swallow? Stockholm syndrome at its finest. It’s also not a tangent if it’s telegraphed in the thumbnail and the video. Spotify does offer some costumer friendly benefits. On your birthday you can get the offer for 3 months of premium at the price of one. Same offer is available at the end of the year. Even the non premium version is more than decent, the ads arent super annoying, I discovered a lot of great songs through shuffle. Not to mention, Spotify allows you to make direct donations to the artists and all the money will go to them.

That's what happens when you trust streaming/cloud services. They can do whatever they want, and the moment you stop paying, you remain with nothing, even if you've been paying thousand of dollars for years. Nothing's yours. That's the reason you should store your own files

Just take your bucks somewhere else. Yeah it would be hard and inconvenient to move all your library, but it's worth doing now, rather than accept price increases. At the end of the day they will reach that mark, when you'll have to move somewhere else.
