Sticking with Windows 95 was the right call. I upgraded a 70CT years ago from NT to XP IIRC after verifying that there were drivers available for it, but it ran like a dog after the upgrade.

Just to add on, a common failure point of iPod Nano 6 seems to be the power button. The button itself is on a ribbon and somehow it might got stuck after some use. Replacement parts shouldn‘t be too hard to find though, but it's just painful to fix.

My laptop used to be super dusty like this desktop inside and I fixed it with a screen anti-dust spray. I just sprayed the whole mother board and inside heatsink.

Does anyone have a hardware problem with the charger connection? It has a connection problem for a while like I had to hold the charger in place and move it around until it gets charged. Now it doesn’t connect at all I can’t do the update since the computer doesn’t detect it and none of the suggestions has worked. Not charging 😢

I never saw the need for a mini disc. They were not marketed to me because i knew no one who had one. I went straight from CDs to copying the WAV file on them & converting them to mp3. Then burning them onto a cdr & later a cdrw for playback on a system because few played mp3s. It wasnt easy either, my computer could only burn about 12 songs max per disc because in the late 90s computers were only 2GB. But in 2001 my next was 30GB. Today i do none of that. I pay premium for KZread & get all my songs commercial free & instantly from them. Its been a good arrangement for me. Its also kind of nice seeing artists going out and working for a living rather than depend on album sales & rarely do concerts. Imagine musicians today have to perform to make money. How many big concert tours did the Beatles go on? Answer: 2 i believe it was 1964 & 1966. And look how much money they made by not performing? Times have changed.

Important to note that legitimate Resident Evil 2 and Ogre Battle game paks have PCBs that are white around the contacts. The chips on RE2 and Ogre Battle are also surface-mount instead of through-hole. I believe they're the only exceptions, however.

I had the mini disk player on the right at 37:54, that was stolen by some workers at my home in germany in the early 2000s. I replaced i with a "dek version". EXCEPT from harddrives in a computer, it was the best recording device since then. I used DAT also. But it was slow. Thanks for the time-travel to this era! Well done!

I have the Bose QuietComfort SC and last night the type C connection melted.. not sure what happened, but the battery is at 90%, the type C no longer makes connection, and I had to break the cord off the headphone and pull out the remaining bits from the type C that were welded in place. Does anyone know how to swap out the type C in these? It has plastic melted over one of the 3 screws inside needed for disassembly; gonna have to grind or pry the excess plastic off.

Crazy, and d**n good looking fakes these days. Never thought, in a million years, when I sold off my entire retro collection, back in 2013-2015, that this particular issue would arise. That's why it's best to save your money, stay away from anything physical, especially when it comes to any of the older games, and their systems, and just be smart and get yourself an emulation console, or an emulation handheld, or both, already packed full of roms, taking up no space, and not ever having to worry about buying something fake. Collecting is such a waste of money now anyhow, and given that these things won't last, and/or work forever, either, not even, and especially disc based systems, or the discs themselves, it just makes absolutely no sense, at all, to blow the insane amounts of cash that all of this stuff now brings in.

I just watched this video, but for some reason I feel like I may have seen it before. while I loved the design Apple went with for G3 series of Macs. I didn't care for this color it was my least favorite. when Apple released the G4's and the Cube I was very happy. Always visiting my favorite computer store Microcenter drooling over the large cinema displays Apple released they looked so futuristic. I didn't get onboard with the new iMac until Apple released the other color versions. Strawberry, Lime, Tangerine and my favorite Grape. and of course always cringing when someone would call macOS X (Mac OS Ex.) always correcting them that it was macOS X (ten) LOL still find myself doing that. (I need a life.) One thing I have noticed that actually makes me gasp every time I see you cleaning a retro mac or even a pc, is that when you are cleaning the Keyboards and Mice you spray whatever cleaning fluid you are using directly on the device, back in my day that was a huge No, No. Always sprayed it on the cleaning cloth and then cleaning whatever needed to be clean. LOL

What a strange time we live in. In the past, Nintendo still used Cartridges for copy protection, and got questioned about their use of the old tech. Playstation used the modern CD`s because of their "massive" capacity. What do we have now? CD`s are Outdated because of their limited capacity (and data rates), and an aftermarket full of fake N64 modules.

I was actually getting scammed from multiple buyers claiming this and other defects noticed for the buyer to just get a free game. I was selling legit cartridges. Some were even sealed I've had enough so I made a video crushing and shredding over 903 popular games similar to this. I don't care of the value. I have other valuable items and income to spend my time on. I spared all the sport and crappy games and put them on the street corner so those could still exist😂. I even shredded 8 consoles. I had enough with game buyers. Get a job and life gamers so you can afford to pay an actual price for a video game. I made some money back already from views if my shredding videos. I'm just fed up dealing with these overgrown brats anymore. I shred other valuable rare items, too. If it doesn't sell, it shreads for veiws. I get more than enough donated to me to not care and have fun doing so.

I once bought a Kirby 64 cartridge from one of those sellers, not being aware that it was a repro. Felt kinda stupid afterwards because the signs are pretty obvious, but they get you with that cheap price if you aren't careful. Luckily the seller was fair enough to stop the transaction, so at least I didn't lose any money.
