    It's an amazing bike but the deal breaker is low end torque. For a adventure bike it's not acceptable.

  • @OnceARider
    @OnceARiderКүн бұрын

    As per the specs the torque is there but you need to shift the gears quite frequently, specially in city riding conditions which is little annoying sometime. You need to get used to of it. However I would say during adventure ride or touring this would not be an issue.

  • @OnceARider
    @OnceARider2 күн бұрын

    They should last for at least 10k km, but again it depends mostly on your riding style and riding conditions. In my case I have completed 4k kms and pads as good as new.

  • @MusafirAhamed
    @MusafirAhamed2 күн бұрын

    @OnceARider Yeah, I know that. I have given my Himalayan 450 for the second service, which is clocked at 2600 km.. And from the service centre, they informed me my rear breakpad was done. But I don't use rear breaks much. I depends on front break and engine breaking mostly

  • @OnceARider
    @OnceARider2 күн бұрын

    @MusafirAhamed okay, then you should adjust the brake lever position, sometime due to shoes or our sitting style we rest the foot on brake lever and unknowingly it gets presses and that is enough to wear out those pads. To test it just ride for 1km or so and do not use rear brake, on stopping touch the brake rotor if it is warm or hot then the brake leaver is getting pressed unknowingly. And adjust the leaver position accordingly. Hope this helps. I am saying this considering you have checked and verified that your old pads are worn-out and service center is not scamming you.

    ...don't own an RE. But like those bikes. There is a youtube video around from a guy explaining how important those bolts are. If those are not tight the frame will take too much load. The engine - as stressed member - should take a big part of the load. If those bolts are loose there is a danger that the frame suffers damage from overload. Means: try to get a detailed description from RE how to proceed. Correct prestress / Torque on those bolts might be super critical. Good luck! Regards, Andreas

  • @OnceARider

    Hi Andreas, Thank you for sharing that information and you are right, those bolts are super critical since engine is also a stress member, for now I have tighten those bolt with some medium strength thread lock and very soon I have to go for 2nd service. As u are saying right that even oem bokts getting loose..and they tight without any torque wrench even if u install oem crash guard theytight will nrmal alenkey without specific force..so just blaming after market crash guard is not good thing ..so if u install oem or after market connection point and bolt tighten is same as after market..only we canassume that oem guard is tested..and light weight to observe damage.. but if the oem is tested well what about other loosen bolts..so one experienced mechanic said to use lock tight gel for crash guard fitting to protect ..bolt to be loosen..n apart from that2 cases..in my group theirare atlest 7..8 himalayan but they dontface anny issue after long trip to ladakh..even my 2frnd went to ladkh ..n when they come i willupdate about their bikes durablity.. note 4 out of 5 frnds have after market guards..u r view on this durablity issue will guide us fruther what u say..??

  • @OnceARider
    @OnceARider23 күн бұрын

    Well, I would say there is no durability issue as such, just bit of negligence from RE service centers, they have skill gap. Since this is a all new engine and chassis design the local service centers are not aware about he issue which might occur. These are minor issues and can be fixed easily, since in this new chassis design the engine also a part of stress member so obviously it will transfer the vibrations to the chassis and bolts will come loose, they should have applied thread lock while installing the engine guard. So, I have done it myself now, will update soon if there are some new findings.

Power, suspension, handling, huge fuel tank and awesome fuel economy are some of it's Pros but list doesn't stops here. So technically you can get the interceptor brake pads for cheap and use them in your Himalayan. Hello.. 1. The vibrations will keep getting better, in my case around 600kms and first service vibrations were totally gone. It felt like a different machine altogether. 2. But the vibrations were not that prominent at 60km/h, in my case around 90-110 vibrations were very annoying. But as mentioned in the above comment they got better with time. 3. Engine gets hot in the beginning. A little burning smell should not be a concern. But if it is very prominent and doesn't go after running for some time. Maybe let's say 100km then you should get it checked. 4. I would advise not to go beyond 4000rpm for the initial 500kms. And beyond 6000rpm for 500-2000kms as mentioned in the user manual. Also do not hard accelerate. If you take care of your bike in the initial breaking period, it will serve you better and you will not face any problems later. Happy Riding, cheers!!

I must admit, himalayan is fast but not as fast as our sex bomb adv390. After i was done , i waived and said good bye darling and ruksana wept and tried and wept but could not come near me. Well tried ruksana and well played adv390. One and only Badass MountainTamer (True story)

    Can u mention the price of Himalayan 450 breakpad

  • @OnceARider
    @OnceARiderАй бұрын

    Rear ones from RE would cost around 3300rs. Not sure about the front ones. But people are saying the pads are the same as in the Interceptor. And Interceptor pads are of 2500rs. So technically you can get the interceptor brake pads for cheap and use them in your Himalayan. There is just one metal plate which you may need to transfer from old Himalayan pads to new Interceptor pads.

    No it's still the same, I have received only one update so far which I guess fixed some connectivity related issues.

    Bhai please tell me when bike pull to right side too phir woo kon si side ka tyre khaegi

    I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but if you are asking ki tyre kis side ghisega agar bike right ki taraf pull kar rahi hai to, iska answer hai: tyre rigth side se hi ghisega jada, but ye effect bikes me na ke barabar hoga, ye effect 4 wheerlers me significant hota hai. Bike me right side ka pull issue multiple reasons se ho sakta hai For example: 1. Wheel alignment, balancing and trueing issue (most comment issues). 2. Fork missaligne issue. 3. Suspension travel. 4. Rear wheel missalignment. 5. Frame bent issue etc etc.. aur inka tyre ghisne me koi significant role nahi rahega jahan tak mujhe lagta hai.
