    Well, the video Demonstrates that you don't need a great job Cleaning the carburetor to get it to work. But I am pretty surprised you never balanced the blade, A critical mistake in my opinion.

    I just mowed with this mower on Sunday. I have not needed to clean the carb again nor adjust the blade balance since making the video 10 years ago. Fact is, it has worked without issue. Opinions are great and I appreciate your thoughts on the work.

    I know this post is 11 years old but some still see it for the first time. A terminology issue here. For the record, a KEYWAY is a groove machined into the crankshaft and flywheel. It is the groove, not the small piece of metal that fits into it. The KEY is this small piece of metal. Usually made of a soft metal designed to shear, it could be just a straight piece that slips into the groove , KEYWAY, or it could be of the half moon variety which is referred to as a WOODRUFF key. Just saying.

    How or what kinda AC do you use to keep it nice and cool in the summer I'm really thinking about buying one for my 1st time any information will be appreciated

  • @roydog2882
    @roydog28822 ай бұрын

    This was a major issue for us. We used a stand alone AC unit that was vented to the outside. It worked but took up a lot of space. On a very hot day, it wasn’t very effective though.

    YO, VERY DETAILED VIDEO. MY LOG SPLITTER B&S ENGINE IS BASICALLY THE SAME AS A LAWN MOWER ENGINE. I REPLACED MINE WITH A NEW CARB KIT AND IT SPLITS PINION PINE WITH A LOUD SNAP- SOMETIMES..... IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER USED ONE, TO CHECK BEFORE HAND FOR ROCK BUSTERS IN THE PATH BEFORE USE. I LIKE THE MARTIAN COMMENTS , ALSO. EAGLE-SAN IN CO. THANKS....

    I bought 1 for my shop. Got it all together and it wouldnt suck up the sand.. replaced all the large clear tube with smaller tube. It works now. Also dont push your hosing all way down on metal suck tube. Only push it down about 1/2 inch then clamp it.

    Hi There, You Done A Good Job. One Thing Everyone Should Do Is Put A bit Of Never seize On The Crankshaft Where The Blade Adapter Goes On. It Will Save You A Lot Of Problems In The Future If You Need To Remove It Again. If You Wash Your Deck Underneath ,Water will Get Into Everything. Moisture From Wet Grass Left On The Underneath will Cause RUST. I'm Not Knocking Your Video By Any Means. I Noticed a Lot Of Oil Under The Deck, Which Will Make Your Drive Belt Slip, It Could Have Been Cleaned with Some Degreaser. The Oil Leak Could Be A Bad Oil Seal On The Bottom Of The Motor Or They Have Spilt Oil On The Mower and It Has Run Down And The Blade Has Spread it as It is Going Around. The Engine Sounded as If It Was Surging a bit. ( Not Getting Enough Fuel ) Other Then That You Done A Great Job, Thanks For The Video

    I had a KD75 Trail and a silver KD125 back in the early 80’s. The 75 trail sounded much like this bike at idle. Before we ruined the 75 trail on a huge jump that broke the frame in half…we hack sawed the exhaust off in the middle of the expansion chamber. No Harley could touch the noise level of that bike. Lol. My grandpa was very tolerant of the things we did as kids on these bikes. Use up all the gas. Tear his yard up. But the noise from that bike was to much and we could not ride it if he was home. Good times.
