    To get better results from ONR Rinseless Wash and Wax your mit is too dripping wet and you should clean in one vertical motion from left to right, one panel at a time and than dry with a clean soft micro fiber towel abd than buff with another soft clean dry micro fiber towel

    This is what I do: Use 2 gallons distilled water with 4-6 cap-fulls of ONR In your 1st bucket. Put 4 clean 🎉🎉wash mitts in that same 1st bucket. Then fill a 2nd bucket with regular hose water and a grit guard. The 2nd bucket will be used to wash your mitts at the end. No need to pre-spray or soak if it's only dusty or lightly dirty. Split the car into 4 quadrants, using 1 clean mitt per quadrant. Start at the roof and work🎉🎉 side to side, all the way down. At the end of each quadrant, put the used mitt in the 2nd plain hose water bucket with the grit guard. After all 4 quadrants are done, you'll have 4 dirty mitts in the 2nd bucket. Use the grit guard to scrub the 4 mitts clean, then hang them to dry. Use the remaining ONR bucket water to fill your spray bottle. Go around the car with 4-6 clean microfiber towels to dry. Look for any dry spots or streaks that need extra lubrication and wipe as needed. Remember to never cross contaminate. Once a mitt touches the car, it doesn't go back into your ONR bucket.

    2 buckets bro… wtf are you doing. You are scratching everyone’s paint. And I say everyone because you claim to be a pro and yet you can’t read directions? Instead of reading the instructions you decide to make a KZread video. I hope anyone that calls themselves a detailer would have some common sense

Their wax is the same, its mental as a sealant but your paint has to be spot on else it shows you its flaws. Ive since gone back to meguirs ultimate polish and nxt 2.0 as it hides everything, perfect for daily drivers

    BSD for me. It was fortuitous that it rained as you applied it because it works better with a small amount of water than neat! Many use it 50:50 to help with slick application and Brian at Apex Detailing even recommends using it 5:1 as a maintenance product. Try using BSD as a top layer on top of Sonax Net Shield then Sonax Spray and Seal. Apparently it's as good as a light ceramic and will give a year or more protection when maintained with BSD. Apex have made a video of that exact triple system.

    I have a real problem applying the Sonax BSD, I've been washing, polishing and waxing cars for decades but I find this stuff a real pain. It's grabby and not very easy to take off, plus it leaves a blotchy finish, when I stand back I can clearly see an uneven finish on the paint work even though it's been applied and removed evenly.

    Good vid. Thanks for the in-depth comparison. Would like to know how my go to QD, AG Aqua Wax compares to these two. Thinking of trying BSD next though, heard a lot of good things about it and you didn't find it grabby either.

  • @detailingdiaries6562
    @detailingdiaries65625 жыл бұрын

    No I have never found it grabby at all, but I think those who do find it grabby is when its on hot days and in direct sun. In those conditions the paintwork can get very hot and I guess it flashes off too quickly. In the UK it doesn't seem to have much of a problem. The other thing about BSD is that it's SO cheap. From Carparts4less I was able to get 2 bottles (1.5l total) delivered for something like £13. Megs is probably closer to £16 for 700 or 750ml.

    @@detailingdiaries6562 Thanks for the reply mate. I never wash in direct sun so hopefully it will lay down ok. What was the long term longevity like, sometimes I have to go 6 weeks between washes, do you think it will last this long? It will be used as a top up wax on top of BH Double Speed wax which I have been impressed with btw. One last question if I may, I like the idea of putting QDs on at the drying stage and AG Aqua Wax is designed to be used this way. Do you know if BSD can be used like this on a wet car? Thanks.

    Hi, you wouldn't need to do both, either use a wax, or a sealant like Extra Gloss Protection. You don't need to polish, but if you wanted to you can. If you are doing it by hand, I recommend Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Extra Gloss Protection, they are designed to work together 👍

    Hey good work! You did it by hand? Or with discs and a DA? It'd be nice to see at least some of the process. So you used 1500 then 2000, 3000, 5000? Usually you only need 1500 then 3000. You sure that was needed? As a good compound or single stage should take care of 2000+

    Hi, I hope anybody can support me. My car has the SONAX Profiline Ceramic Coating cc36 and I'm looking to extend the water repelent feature and keep the shine after weekly wash without affect the coating. I have used the Meg's Ultimate Quik Detailer for many years but I'm affraid to use it because it's a different brand product. Do you know if using this Meg's Detailer can affect the coating or it will better to get the SONAX Detailer to do it? Seeing this video it's shown both are good products but don't know if the ingredients used in Meg's could drop the ceramic coating. Thank you in advance.
