    Is this still a good 3d printer in 2022?

  • @neilhagan5566

    If you are able to scoop one up for cheap then yeah actually.. throw a few bucks at it (if you have some free time) and it's a very capable machine. That said you can snag an ender 3 for 99 bucks every now and then... It's honestly all relative to your location and what's available and what you want to put into it. Since this video I dumped 40 bucks into a direct drive end on an xvixo x3s and that I picked up for 60 bucks and it prints like a dream.. reviews on 3d printers are honestly a joke anymore... Years ago if you wanted out of the box ease of use these were about all you had... I believe Anker (the electronics go to on Amazon) has a Kickstarter for a printer that looks promising. Throw money towards it if your not in a hurry. To me that looks promising... 3d printing can be a headache if you are just starting out. That said once you have owned a few machines it's not uncommon to start a print on a machine leave for work and come home to a decent print now-a-days.. if you ask me my opinion anymore (I've owned over 30 printers in the past few years)... I have found that the ones you tinker with the most will always be your go to... I have built a couple hypercube based printers that I really loved.. I had a lot of time in them... I spent 60 bucks on your basic ender3 clone and put a different hot end on it and had excellent results... This reply probably does not help much but what I'm getting at is if you put some time into this guy yeah it's a very capable printer... Maybe snag one of these used and throw in a different board and your set....

    I used a piece of glass cut just inside of the 4 brackets. I also use elmers glue stick and apply 5 cross coats of the glue on the glass. Then I use aluminum tape on the sides of the glass to hold the glass in place. When you do this if you do..you are going to have to reset your Z offset and use a business card for your clearance of the nozzle to the glass plate. I adjusted mine to where the card slides smoothly under the nozzle with just a tad of a grab by the nozzle. Then when the print is done i remove the glass and let it sit for about 10 minutes...the part should pull off easy. then i rinse my glass plate and re do the process when i want to print something else.

    Is that a polishing wheel, and is it larger than 4-1/2"? Quote from manual... Not sure why they say this, but could be that polishing loads the motor down more than a grinding wheel: "Operations such as polishing or cutting-off are not recommended to be performed with this power tool. Operations for which the power tool was not designed may create a hazard and cause personal injury."

    Li-Ion cells are 4.2V at full charge. So, what you are getting off the battery is correct voltage. You will read different voltage if it is under load. It appears the reason your battery did not work on your flash is because positive terminal of the battery is not sticking out by much as with AA battery. Put some solder blob (as bstrickler suggested) on positive contact point of the flash. that should fix your problem.

  • @bstrickler
    @bstrickler15 жыл бұрын

    Where the positive terminal goes, is there a solder blob inside the flashlight? If not, theres your problem. I bought a Trustfire TR-801 (or 802) from them and the 18650 wouldn't work until I added a solder blob to the end of it. You can also try ordering one of their 6-8mm Neodymium magnets and putting that at the positive terminal of the battery. It should work then.
