    "Funktionality" does not get together with a Sony A6x or A7c! I owned a A6000 for years, than PEN F, than a GH6 (because of video). And I thouht: Holy Moly a cam can be sooo easy to handle. I sold (not yet) the GH6 for a X-H2s, because it is a better Hybrid. In terms of funktionality the X-H2s is not to be beaten: 7 (seven) custom modes plus video and PASM. (Mine: C1=6.2k open gate, C2=4K, C3=4k120, C4=FHD240, C5=BKT, C6= Panorama, C7=preshot up to 40FPS), plus sholder display which shows me the details that are dialed in, also in the dark, or off! Just a click and you are good to go. Joystick and several custom buttons. 5.76mio 120p 0.8mag. Viewfinder. no overheating Cf ex B cards = faaast and cheap (+SD) When I WAS a Sony A6 User I wished a FF in a compact and stylish form would come out. Exactly what a A7CII is. Pretty much. But I am 8 years more experienced now. Imho an A7C is a perfect cam for beginners.

    Great video and don’t we live in such an amazing time that we get to have such amazing options. ❤ I own both cameras… and after shooting weddings with my Sony for a few months I still find my Fuji images more pleasing than my Sony files. For me it’s only an autofocus thing ;) . Recently started printing huge prints and man again the Fuji files printed look soooo good imo. The Sony has such a digital look … you know what I mean? Now I also shoot shooting 5k running races all over the state aaaannnndddd give me my Sony all day. I will never miss a shot and the artistic value doesn’t have to be there 🤙 Again great vid and hope you have a fantastic week!!! Happy snapping 😊

    Multi-interface shoe came out around the time the a6000 was introduced in fall 2014. It has taken a long time to properly develop proprietary accessories for it but it was introduced because the NEX-7 was using a minolta (Sony-specific) hot shoe and people wanted the standard hot shoe. Then they added pins to it to make it more useful.

    How is the Sony app? Is it better than Fuji's? Can you also transfer RAW files and videos to your smartphone? PS: I'm a Fuji user with GAS syndrome and I'm tired of waiting for my X100VI, which probably won't arrive for another 6 months. I've been interested in the Sony A7C for a long time, but I'm really afraid of being disappointed with the colors since I'm used to Fuji's JPEGs. How are Sony's JPEGs?

  • @danvirchow

    Sony jpegs are fine at best. Usable. They don’t have the customizability of Fuji’s files, but I personally always found film sims underwhelming. Turns out I like editing photos more than I knew! The Sony app works well. Connects fairly seemlessly and the remote shooting works well. But let’s face it…all camera phone apps suck in their own way 😅

    There’s a way to change the way a software is perceiving the RAWs upon you loading those in. I’ve read something somewhere, but Adobe Bridge doesn’t have that option. Well, I haven’t found it yet. Even when you shoot with the DR ON, there’s a way to tell the software to change settings to default. I know it sounds confusing, and you may be in disbelief, but I’ll get to the bottom of it.

  • @DANIELSMIAMI
    @DANIELSMIAMI26 күн бұрын

    The whole reason why it happens is because the HDR setting is trying to balance the image for both, highlights and shadows. But the camera isn’t powerful enough to cover the range for both, thus, the DR prioritizes and adjusts the exposure for either the shadows or the highlights. In my case everything is adjusted to protect the highlights, so all the photos come out dark as the shadows are brought down. If you’re just starting out in photography, some of this may be difficult to understand.

    I use a wheelchair so this is actually my main camera along side the iPhone 15 Pro. I dont want to carry mirrorless with huge gimbals as is not practical for me but I like my footage to look cinematic so I use NDs and Lenses because after color grading will get much better. I didnt use them all the time tho but its much easier to set them on this pocket camera than to a mirrorless, calibrating a gimbal, will take me like 15min and sometimes just to shoot 2/3 minutes. Great video tho!

    Amazing stuff. Should I always record in Dlog to use the LUT provided by DJI? My friend recorded a nightlife video normal mode (I have to edit it), and now I am trying to find the best way to save this video. Any ideas? I basically dont know how to color grade yet, so the next time I will tell her to record in Dlog

  • @danvirchow
    @danvirchowАй бұрын

    I would almost certainly always shoot in D-Log during the day to optimize the potential to color the footage how you’d like later. As for night time filming, you might almost be better off shooting in a standard profile. Most log profiles introduce some grain into footage, so with the camera working harder in dark conditions, the D-Log footage may be pretty grainy in dark shooting scenarios. Thank you for checking out the video and good luck with your color grading!

    @@vikingexploring honestly not sure as I always shoot in D-Log. I think your best bet would be to test out shooting in normal and in D-Log to see your results. Also, perhaps just manually tweaking the colors in post would work if you shoot in normal.
