How to Color Grade DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Video

Ғылым және технология

Using LUTS is a great way to achieve a vibrant look without spending a lot of time on the color grading process. This video will show you some methods of using LUTS with D-Log M footage from the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Not endorsed...I paid for all products in the video with my own money.

Those colors are amazing. How much luts does it have? For the pocket 3 and do you have any discount codes?

Amazing stuff. Should I always record in Dlog to use the LUT provided by DJI? My friend recorded a nightlife video normal mode (I have to edit it), and now I am trying to find the best way to save this video. Any ideas? I basically dont know how to color grade yet, so the next time I will tell her to record in Dlog

I would almost certainly always shoot in D-Log during the day to optimize the potential to color the footage how you’d like later. As for night time filming, you might almost be better off shooting in a standard profile. Most log profiles introduce some grain into footage, so with the camera working harder in dark conditions, the D-Log footage may be pretty grainy in dark shooting scenarios. Thank you for checking out the video and good luck with your color grading!

@@danvirchow Awesome, thanks for responding. What would be a good lut then for filming in semi low light in a nightlife video if you film in normal profile.

@@vikingexploring honestly not sure as I always shoot in D-Log. I think your best bet would be to test out shooting in normal and in D-Log to see your results. Perhaps a lot would work fine at night in low light...I just haven't tried that yet! Only relying on my traditional understanding of low light, log, and luts. Also, perhaps just manually tweaking the colors in post would work if you shoot in normal.
