I'm two days new into No Man's Sky, and this helped me learn what those multitool upgrades are. The second rifle multitool I got had a bolt caster on it and a lot of upgrade slots, but the blaze javelin (sp?) sounds more me. Have lucked out on a few S class freebie upgrades from various things. Awesome game, and can't wait to play it in VR later on. Back to point, thank you for a helpful video.
I just put together a blaze javalin build last night, if you go to the anonoly, you can research an upgrade that stinks targets hit, there is also an upgrade to give a hug damage boost against stunned targets ;D It even stuns big ones like the sentinel walkers, I haven't tried many weapons yet, but I really like this one :D
@@paulkocherhans608 Thanks and will check that out when I get to Anomaly. Funny you mention sentinel walkers, I faced one at mission to a sentinel tower tonight. Luckily, I could just walk by, access their network, and shut it and the other sentinels down, and get 5 easy kills. Was not looking forward to the walker and glad I didn't attack. Fun chart mission!

I like the cyclotron ballista is like a chunky infra knife accelerator although it damages the hull like you are cooking a chicken by slapping it
But you can have multiple multitools so why just use one?
As of now I love my tricked out Neutron Cannon as my main, but I am intrigued by the Pulse Spitter and will try it.
People misuse the javeling really bad now.. It stuns for 5 seconds, 6 if you put the tech in a supercharged slot. What do i do? When i fight centinels I shoot the big walker boss without Even charging the weapon.. if you charge it is enough to destroy the armor in each leg and you have a lot of spare time to charge the weapon back and shoot again..., full 5 seconds of stun from a non charged shot is BIG, meanwhile i MELT it with the shotgun. Take note that you can have multiple targets stunned so i usually stun the boss, while shooting the small walker and the robodog. You have enough time to stun two without charing and fully charge the shot for the 3rd..
I am curious if this customisation is account wide or it needs to be unlock individually for each game save? So far I have one of my game save unlock but it doesn't seem to show up for my other game save.

Nothing on the difference between things like pistols, rifles, etc? Is it just a restriction on slot count or what? This wasn't nearly as comprehensive as one would hope.

This is cool but my favorite ship that I normally always use is my living ship with tons of tech and weapons. The photon cannon is the best choice I think.
I wish there were some kind of exocraft in atmosphere flying planet skipper for fast traveling on a planet. I know there is something like that as a journey award, but for us that has not completed that we are out of luck.

The fastest way I get nanites is giving delicious stew to the food guy in the anomaly, 100 delicious stew averages 10 k nanites, it's boring but it's effective

I've found the best technique for phase beams is fire in short, second-long bursts kinda like phasers from Star Trek. I don't think they've overheated on me once since I started doing this. (I also have S-class upgrades, but the idea still works.)
After all that you haven't explained how to convert salvaged freighter module to useful technology. Have six of those so far but seems useless without the research station to convert it. Where is the research station and how do I build it? Apparently no one has covered this subject which is weird because I would think it's important. Kinda like being Woke, Unhinged, and Triggered, All Bad states of being. Not as bad as being ignorant but still bad. Peace.
Blaze javelin+scatter blaster= Sci fi Master key
Bolt caster has the most boosts via weapon slots because it benefits from regular mods and sentinel weapon mods.
Photon cannon is crap. Missiles which only shoot once, are garbage.. The ballista is decent but not great - secondary weapon for sure for when your infra-knife overheats. The green laser thing is good for pealing sheilds and feeding your own in the process, and for asteroid farming. Infra-knife is king.
For Haulers, I recommend looking for QBallGaming's video on S class Haulers; you can get some very nice ones for free. If you do that, I recommend having 2-3 of them. I have 2, and I basically use them as flying chests. It means that if I'm out in the middle of nowhere I can still have access to a lot of crafting materials or whatever else I need, without having to go back to my freighter or a base. It's extremely convenient.

Neutron cannon is great to deal with those small enemies on freighters.
Adrift Expedition 13 is now running. Visiting another player's base farm to collect items always beats having to farm it yourself. While you can't access their storage, all plants and extraction containers are wide open so don't forget that every base you build could help another Traveler 😇
You're wrong about the size : it's the quantity of matter that counts. If you leave the slot empty, your new companion will be very small.
The Blaze Javelin sucks because it's essentially a Neutron Cannon without the AOE damage.
You have 'room' for all the weapons, and all the upgrades for all the weapons. lol.

Nomad also lets you drive, straight up a steep mountain. This nomad made me l8ke the mountains planets.
I only always used Blaze Javelin and Boltcaster i love em theyre my style
Infra-knifr is technically the highest DPS and is great for nuking Frieghter ships, but i find it very awkward to use in dog fights. Sometimes i have the sights aimed right on the ship even head on and i still miss. Cycltron Ballista helps slow down ships. Excellent secondary weapon even with zero over charged slots used. I used to use the Positron Ejector but its not a gold choice for Frieghter ships. Mu new favorite is the Photon Cannon: can shoot a long time, has some auto aim, and deals solid damage.
Now I can make the Dune worms an actual thing
A tip for finding solar ships: hang around or leave and re-enter your freigter if you have one. Ive seen the most amount of solar ships land in mine and they usually go for pretty low prices. Found mine with good stats for around 4 mil.
I traded a C class wide body fighter ship for a pretty good C class solar sail ship and purchased a standard solar ship. Was that the right call? Probably not, but they look cool!
Can any of the exos go over water?
My favorite has to be the minotaur. There's something so cool about calling it down from orbit and stomping around smashing things. Feels like a jeager yknow?
There are plenty of slots for tech if you expand your slots the right way, so there won't be issues for those who wouldn't mind using three weapons. I roll with the Infra-Knife, Cyclotron, and Rocket Launcher. Open with Cyclotron until their shield is gone, shoot a rocket, then quickly switch to Infra-Knife. You can spam Infra-Knife while the Rocket Launcher cools, so it'll be ready for you to move on to your next target. With upgrades to these weapons on a capable Fighter, you can expect to shred a single pirate fighter ship in a matter of seconds. Sentinels take a little longer, of course, but the strategy still works on them.
Im a big fan of the Positron ejector for destroying shields and then finishing them with the rockets.
Rocket launcher... IT IS ACTUALLY THE LAST AND THE LEAST. Both rocket launcher and positron need huge buffs
Switch still has no settlements
Seems like Ballista to take out shields and Knife to take out hull is the best combo.
Nowadays you can add an absurd amount of slots so you can basically install all of the weapons with maxed out modules.

The storage containers are not extra space, they are just duplicates of your containers at your base.
