Give them a bus ticket to Knoxville, TN. The homeless are taking over what used to be good neighborhoods and good places to live. Nobody will do anything about it. City Government will provide taxpayer money for the upkeep. Come one, Come all!

You showed that you either misrepresented the history of Tennessee law or failed to look it up. People without carry permits were allowed to keep loaded guns in their cars well before the 2021 change allowing carrying a gun without a permit. It became legal to keep a loaded gun in your car without a permit, when Tennessee extended castle doctrine to include your privately owned vehicle. Odd that the actual timeline for when it became legal for people without permits to keep guns in their cars, doesn't match up with when the jump in guns stolen from cars occurred, isn't it? And Bo Mitchell is an idiot who is suing the city because the election commission extended the same courtesy to Mitchell's opponent, that they extended to Justin Jones. If he's going to be complaining about having to run against a republican in the fall, he should also be complaining about Jones being allowed to run for reelection with misspelled names on the petition he submitted to get his name on the ballot.

Good job, Mr. Garet Davidson. It is evident MNPD does not want to be monitored by an outside organization. It is also evident they do not want to be held accountable. Hence MNPD wants to investigate themselves, because they'll naturally find themselves innocent. Provided MNPD's less-than-stellar track record, they need to be monitored and held accountable by the citizenry of Davidson county. Fun fact concerning the history of MNPD: they raided my nephew's funeral. My family and I were trying to mourn the loss of our beloved family member, and because MNPD decided to raid my nephew's funeral, this furthered our trauma. Appreciate that, MNPD. Back the blue until it happens to you.

I called the MNPD about a guy who kept driving up next to my patio, hanging around, then leaving only to come back a half-hour later. I called 911 because I was scared. Thirty minutes later, I get a callback from an officer who told me he was an hour away and wouldn't come out there unless the guy was doing something illegal. Earlier this year my wallet got stolen out of my laptop bag. I didn't have my phone with me, so I had to borrow one from the manager of the restaurant I was in. I kept waiting for a callback but didn't get one until an hour and a half later. By that time the pickpocket ran up $2000 of charges on my debit card. A friend of mine bought his son a bright red sportscar for his birthday, but within a month they had to trade it in for a plain white sedan. The police kept pulling the kid over for no good reason. Guess what race these folks are? None of this compares to the indignity you've suffered, but I know as well as you do that you can't trust the MNPD any farther than you can throw them... which isn't that far, because of all the doughnuts. #ACAB

@@vladimirenlow4388 I resided in North Nashville in my youth. Like the brown and black folks of my prior community, I was targeted by MNPD for simply living over there. I know therefore your shared experiences are true. I recently had a family member, an immigrant, that was victimize by youth. MNPD took a report from the victim, and we never heard anything from MNPD again. No updates or followups. Nothing. Citizenry simply can't rely on police, troopers, or deputies. In most cases, with the exception of some things, citizens can handle their own business without getting the authorities involved. After all, they never seem to help. Slow response times. They treat victims like criminals. I've seen officers and deputies on video get upset for simply being called, and they take it out on those that made the call. I believe there is simply a disconnect between citizens and law enforcement. From law enforcement's perspective, it's them, the blue line gang, against the citizens. This is how they see it, even if they do not want to admit it. Until that changes, things may never get better. Citizens simply need to keep pushing for law enforcement and criminal justice reform. I believe in a better tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your stories. Stay safe. Say law abiding. Record all encounters with law enforcement while remaining respectful. Report misconduct. Have a relationship with a lawyer. Know your Bill of Rights. Always have savings for bond money, because American incarcerates more people than any country in the world. It's easy to get locked up.

Nashville juvenile court has a history of protecting juveniles from the consequences of their actions, up to the point that the juvenile is the one pulling the trigger and killing someone. If they are only an accomplice, such as having been part of a group committing a robbery, the juvenile court system has a history of protecting the juvenile, turning only the one that pulled the trigger over to adult court to face the murder charge. Why should juvenile offenders be worried about the consequences of their actions, when they aren't going to face those consequences.
