    Great test. Surprised me some. I feel I have the best of all with th copolymer in terms of stretch, strength, and visibility. I also find flouro easier to break with a quick jerk than either.

    So hummingbird doesn’t use a black box? It’s just plug play into the back of the unit? Could you clarify this - thank you great video!

    Interesting and very clear video. When I fish a Carolina rig it’s been with the sliding egg weight, bead and swivel then leader and hook. I’ve never tried the Carolina Keeper method but notice no swivel involved?

    Best grease gun is a battery powered one I got off Amazon and I ordered the lock and lube attatchment but I havent had a reason to use it. Been using grease guns since the 80's. It's called Hantuo.

    Just had to decide between hummingbird helix 7 chirp mega DI gps G4 and lowrance hook reveal 7 tripleshot with c-map contour+ card Decided to go with the tripleshot because it has side imaging and down scan and should be compatible with navionics charts...hopefully i didnt make a poor choice. Im upgrading from lowrance hook2 4x so it should still be an improvement. Mainly just need to see how deep fish are to get jig to correct depth(vertical jigging for salmon 20'-200'deep) Thinking the lowrance fish reveal thing should help me out quite a bit being new to fishfinders

    I am looking at getting a hook reveal 5 downscan or a helix 5 di g2. What would You get? Isn't helix about 8 years old reveal 4 years old? Helix looks clearer down scan but the reveal feature is nice also.

    I went with a spitfire x7 4 blade on my 75hp I chose this over the 3 blade aluminum because on turns I would get prop blowout and the boat would jump sideways with the 4 blade wot a full sharp turn solid no prop wash out It did slow me down from 40 to 36 but I never run wot anyway.

    I have a Solix 10 MSi+ G3 on my 10' jon boat. Lol Apex, salt water, solix fresh. Ither than that, they are pretty much identical. Transdicers and everything is the same. Besides being able to connect that high powerd salt water transducer. Resolution is different but the immage is identical. Nore pixels for bigger screen. Thats it.

    Hi. I can't find any real guidance on the xi3 and whether it's truly limited to working with the lowrance and simrad for waypoint navigation. I now have the pwr129 and the xi3, and l'd like to know if Motorguide is just pushing those 2 makers, or it's really limited to them. I see garmin and hummingbird have NMEA2000 as well. Thanks in advance!

    Like the other comments say. Copolymer lines are a blend of nylons . It’s basically a different grade of mono. A few brands do have flourocarbon coated options like the P line in this video.

    After all this time i don’t understand why every keeps trying the same pitch and being disappointed in the performance. We know you need to reduce pitch when going to a 4 blade so the engine RPMs are where they belong. I finally saw another video where it was done right and the top speed ended up being the same.

    I have been watching you for a while now and thanks. Just to clarify but some people might make the mistake of adding 4 quart because you stated that you need 3 liters or 4 quarts. I know you did not mean add 4 quarts. That's why you check the dipstick. The difference between 3 liters and 3 quarts is 5.5 oz . My point is that i have been running 3 quarts on my 2011 60hp like yours since day one w/o any issues. Keep up the good work buddy!!!!!!!

I've never got a bird nest on my open spinning reel don't feel to the curve just blow it is my way and down cast eny different 🤔 then my friend that fill the spool all the way up over the curve and gets bird nest. Just saying my way. Good job on video everything helps.

    I have a Helix 8 MDI GPS G4N without a transducer to run only the Mega Live. I have a Helix 9 MSI+ GPS G4N at the bow with an Ulterra I-Pilot Link. I have a Helix 7 MSI+ GPS G4N at the console with all with the One boat Network. How do I get the MSI from the bow to the console? I have also purchased a Premium map card coming and would like to know if it can be shown on more than one Helix at a time (screen wise)??

  • @scottrogers7654
    @scottrogers7654Ай бұрын

    im assuming you have everything connected to a ethernet hub, go into your network tab of the Helix 8, click the side imaging tab, click the siding imaging feed for the Helix 9 Msi. and they will share that feed If you dont have a ethernet hub you will need one to connect everything since the mega live would be already using the ethernet port of the Helix 8

  • @scottrogers7654
    @scottrogers7654Ай бұрын

    Helix's will share way points and GPS feeds but do not share maps you need a map card for each unit if you want mapping on both

    I watched this video and many others about the xi3 motors before I bought one. I have had very few issues with the xi3. The remote works great. Lots of features. Anchor mode works great. While in anchor mode, I use the jog feature on remote. Heading lock, cruise control, route recording features work great. I have the cordless pedal. I do use them both. The pedal takes some getting used to. Price was a huge factor for me. Can't beat the price. My boat is a 15' fiberglass bass boat. With 1 oddessy 12v AGM group 31 battery might use 50 % power 8hrs plus of fishing. max trolling speed about 2mph. Really satisfied with it

    I’m a beginner but my first one I’m looking at a garmin 73sv with GT56 transducer for $599 or a 93sv with GT54 transducer for $699 I think I’d be better off with smaller screen with more powerful GT56 Transducer that bigger screen with less powerful transducer? Not running livescope and mostly shallow water? What’s your opinion if it were you

    What they do not tell you, if you place a memory stick whether, for a chart or any purpose, The Helix loses its water tightness due to the door being held open and the plug will not go back
