  As someone who watched Caillou as a kid, yes, I did act like Caillou as a kid, and im pretty upset Caillou taught me to act like that.

  Because is was not displayed number one. Number two he would act out but his parents never did anything. They just reward him. And he was not showing is great lessons. Not a kid show in my oppionion

  The reason why Caillou dream like it's because as a little kid he was riding his little bike and he crashed into Walmart and then he went to the hospital and then now it's not dream like because he's out of the hospital 🏥🎉

  The fact Caillou was already cancelled because of a lack of new episodes since 2010 shows PBS left the reruns on autopilot with no one caring until 2021 and that's centered on the original 1997 series no one likes. To be fair, not that many people look back fondly at Caillou and I am glad I don't condone Caillou.

  The white border in the show was to mimic the design in books. Since Cailou originally started as a book series. A lot of children's books actually had that type of white bordering around the artwork. I don't know how common that is now, but it used to show up in quite a few children's books. Every time the show started the narrator would be opening a book and reading the story of the episode to some children. So yeah, that's why there was a white border around it. Also the Cailou cancer theory was debunked by the authors who stated they just wanted that design choice. I don't know if it has anything to do with his name meaning "little pebble" or something along those lines, but yeah.

  I think the show itself was cute. Caillou was a brat, but maybe it was supposed to be like that? I didn’t like it when the parents didn’t discipline him enough. But honestly, I know so many families like that. Sooo, I guess I partly like it and partly dislike it.

  I watched Caillou so long ago that I don't remember fully watching any episode, if I did at all. For me it's one of those cartoons of which I only remember the intro.

  0:20 - 0:50 I believe the odd background details that are displayed in Caillou were meant to give off a storybook page background vibe, since the episodes we see of him are technically supposed to be read out of a children’s book by an older woman in the show (the woman narrator that speaks throughout the episodes). We see her and her two (I assume to be) grandchildren sometimes throughout the show if I remember correctly. 😭 can’t recall how often she appears since it’s been so long.

  I think we should hate on his parents more than Caillou himself! Think about it. They don't exactly discipline him or even want to do so. For example, when Caillou was complaining to Mommy that Rosie was bothering him she tells him that he and Rosie should work out their own problems! Excuse me?! They are 2 and 4 years old! To me that's her way of not wanting to deal with her children!
