Why is it called a Ray24? doesn't that name imply a two octave neck?
2 volume controls are stupid. Leo did it to cancel hum. My new Fender Jazz Ultra even has a balance control. I have even changed my others to blend instead of 2 volumes. Would never buy this bass for that reason. Easy fix on passive but harder with active
whilst I love the tone of a Stingray, I play a Jazz and that Jazz slap tone has depth more to it, better tone and a lovely ring so Jazz for me. Very nice playing there my man!
absolutley beuitiful my friend. curoius whats on ur pedal board
THANK YOU SO MUCH, this is 100 per cent the best setup tutorial on the internet
Nice one .....simple and straight forward. If the beginners could see this video and start from there we might just get to enjoy those bands starting out. Thanks for doing this.
Ray24 ?
Beautiful
Great video and EQ tips I learned something here today. Thank you
I have the same bass
Try the stingray 5

Very cool..
I’ve always played heavier gauge strings. When touring with the Motown group The Miracles I played heavy gauge LaBella Deep Talkin flats because, well… it’s a bass and not a guitar. I’ve been a gigging session bassist for over 40 years and never played lighter strings because frankly I want to work. Even as dexterous and amazing as Victor Wooten is doing his own thing, he’s not a first call session guy for commercial recordings like Nate East , Abe Laboriel or Marcus Miller who have a fatter sound and are actually a bit more versatile bassists. I can tell you producers will not typically want a thin sounding bass for every day working gigs. 45-105 at a minimum though I go 110-50 as my preferred gauge. All these shredder guys on KZread aren’t getting the calls which is why they’re on KZread and not gigging. I never run into KZreadr musicians on gigs. If you want to work and get paid you want to play and sound like a bass player. The art of the bass is in its simplicity and that’s where you’ll make your money. Think about the most iconic bass lines. Carol Kaye, James Jamerson, Joe Osborne, Abe, Nate and Marcus. Brilliant in their simplicity and groove. I studied for several years with the great Wrecking Crew bassist Max Bennett in the 70s. He always said bass solos were as necessary as tits on men. He was a six figure session guy his entire career. Best advice I’ve ever got. We all enjoy letting loose but remember it’s only bass players who care and not the people who will pay you to play.
Simply Amazing 🎸🤩
Those are good basses but I can hear the pickup is lacking. It sounds like the rear coil is louder than the front. That can be easily fixed with a pickup upgrade. I have the 5 string version and its amazing
Anyone know the name of the piece/song he's playing at 9:46? Thanks in advance.
You are up there with the best at this technique....
He proly could play “Run for cover “
I would like see this comparison with the music man stingray 4h :D
Nice bass
why don't you adjust where you play instead of playing where your fingers strike the knobs. I have made many hand adjustments especially the 2 pickup StingRay bass. I make adjustments
Wrong title. It should be: Showing off some right hand techniques. This man is outstanding.
The mids Always suck .no mids regulation Is a plus
One Squier jazz bass one sterling. Nothing else.
best stingray is one pickup wired in parallel and 2 eq preamp
I just bought a used Squier P bass and it has the Ernie Ball Extra Slinky 95-40. I like them a lot. They're very easy to fret and the action can be set really low.
Smooth as silk.
You are in the same character of MARCUS MILLER or Wayman Tis dale..but a class of your OWN😂❤❤❤
That was ridiculously good😂😂😂 It took a few seconds for it to really click in my head
Great sounds man!
小伙子,这么骚在我们村会挨打的
Kick............ ASS!
Are bending behind the nut on a bass? You madman 😂
Very best skill
Serious skills, love to see a rapper do that😂😂
The mm shines where the jazz is scooped and viceversa
Awesome 🎸💯sounds very good 😊👍
I love to see a rapper attemp to do that!! Real musical talent 😂
My man im planning on ordering one, but before ordering just wanted to know the difference between the STERLING DARK RAY and THE MUSICMAN DARKRAY?
try harley benton, under 200 ;)
How is it possible that I had this issue in different Ibanez SR Premium basses? I thought that Premium series for about €1800 should be ready to play after a setup.
I play both every morning and I started that way too... Every bass player is different... Playing the bass is an odyssey - there is no set roadmap - just go for it...
The "Old school" Ray has that distinct and much coveted.. "Zing, crackle & crunch" no matter how you set the parametric values. The new school begins to sound like a heated up American Fender Jazz Bass
Pretty well but the text prevent me From seeing the notes
Yeahhhh. ❤ ❤ ❤
