Anyway you could tell me the string height measurements at the 12th fret you have set up on this bass and the pickup height? Assuming neck is fairly straight? Having trouble getting that snappy sound out of mine. Appreciate it and great video(s)!

If the battery dies in mid set will it play in passive mode? Very nice bass.

Would love to know your opinion on this vs a Ray34. is the clean sound pretty similar?

How is this on 9 volt battery usage? I imagine its uses more juice with the distortion circuit, and the LED lights...

You make this bass sound really good. I just got one and feel that the clean sound is very anemic. Maybe mine is defective

My man im planning on ordering one, but before ordering just wanted to know the difference between the STERLING DARK RAY and THE MUSICMAN DARKRAY?

What is your favorite bass too play live and record with?

It sounds great and technichally it's very impressive that they fit those circuits in there, but I would rather have a full Alpha Omega pedal and have the freedom to use it with any bass. Price-wise though, this bass is actually not too bad. Darkglass Tone Capsule and the regular Alpha Omega pedal add up to $500+. This guy at $1400 is not cheap but at least understandable. I would stil rather have a Ray34 and a standalone pedal though.

The tone capsule isn’t the pre amp being used in the darkray both Sterling and Ernie ball. The tone capsule is a three band with bass, mid, mid high. So saying you would rather have the ray34 with the tone capsule and distortion wouldn’t be the same at all.

Just guessing here, but I feel like most of the difference would come from the feel and build quality of the instrument rather than sound

All sterling is Indonesian built. I have one and unfortunately the neck is completely warped and its brand new.

I haven't tried the Ernie Ball one so I cant say, but as far as the build quality, this one is top notch and on par with my Ernie Ball Stingrays
