    This isn't an analysis, just direct propaganda from the Saudi dictatorship. NEOM is one of the stupidest, most doomed projects to ever be thought up. You don't bring up ANY of this projects pitfalls, or even talk about the indigenous people that were murdered to obtain the land. How about the recent announcement that the line has been cut back by about 90%? No? Just cheap propaganda.

    This big desert was an ocean, animals and fish there in the past, it would be a big deal to dig a canal. This even makes it easy to cross from place to place in the middle of the desert.

    @@Baaz9898 far more workers, advanced building technology, much larger scale of industrial output compared to the era of the empire state building.. for instance, float glass plants were not established then, which now make glass that will cover the entire structure as panels instead of being nestled in formed window structures. Of course, the steel and concrete work will require significant human labor

    Does the entire extension of 14km (nobody does miles anymore 😂) cost 9.5 billion USD and does that include everything (key in hand)? Does this mean that each km is aprox. 650 million USD and if so..why? Labor costs cannot be the driver of this amount, unless people working on the project start with 100k for the lowest-paid team member?

    I think that the line will go on for a while maybe 5 to 10 km then they will start building a new part of the city, and in the background continue building the line, while expanding the city in new zones. It's a mystery babylon.
