    1st time I heard the name ricken was in GOT. Thought it was a nod to them... ricken sounds like Rick Eagan with the middle removed lol

    I was pleasantly surprised by the _Eyes Wide Shut_ moment of the dancing. The bizarre masks adding to the effect. It was genuinely disorienting to see, But Dylan had obviously seen it before. The dancers seemed surprised that he left, so I am curious to know how the ceremony is completed.

    When Jim had got the radio working, the creepy male voice was so inhumane cold that Donna noticed it and right away she wanted to stop Jim from continuing to try communicate with this creepy outside world voice because she fears it is one of these evil beings in This realm. I think the demons aren't the only evil beings in this realm, these entities aren't allies and they do/will betray each other when they are after the same food aka humans. Donna probably doesn't want to leave because everything/everyone she had ever known is gone. so if she gets free from this realm, she will have nothing to live for. So she trying in a weird way to live with this realm. of course she isn't evil, she gives me good vibes when she shows up in the story.

    Hey Nautilus, this has nothing to do with FROM, it’s about SEVERANCE but I wanted to comment on your recent video. I recently learned about spider-goats 😅 hear me out, it’s actually a real thing. Scientists genetically mix spider dna with goats to produce spider- silk from the goat milk. This silk is known to be incredibly strong and has potential applications in various fields, such as medical sutures and… waif for it it…. Bulletproof vests. Why am I saying this? Remember the goat scene in Severance, I’ve been thinking of that, maybe Lumen has some implications with production of bulletproof vests for the military? 🤔

    It would certainly make sense that Cobel was/is a mid-wife. The severed workers are essentially children, and of course the show is suggesting Lumen is at least attempting to have a compliant workforce. This is an experiment to refine the severed process.

  • @screwdriver3657
    @screwdriver3657Күн бұрын

    I have a good theory about the experiment and how it could be an experiment. If you look at when Victor arrived about 1980 and you compare the way the monsters are all dressed 1950s. So maybe this is an experiment in the monsters or from the previous iteration of the experiment and they might have been the villagers who didn't make it. And then they got turned into monsters. And now they're honking the next generation of experiment. Just a thought. Why are the monsters dressed like they're from 30 years before any car design that you see or anything in general that you see. Besides the houses. That's just a thought I had

  • @screwdriver3657
    @screwdriver3657Күн бұрын

    Also the fact that the town whether it's an experiment or what has a set amount of residence it needs. Look at the amount of people from the beginning of season 1 that died up until the bus arrived. The amount of people on the bus that actually survived and got placed in houses is damn near similar to the amount of people that died from the beginning of season 1. So it's keeping it at that same-ish number

    I feel that the lunch box thing since she's in the hospital she could just believe that she was in a coma and that was a whole coma dream she was having none of it was real. But then she's going to get her stuff back and see the lunch box and realize it was all real. It might be something the anchor and into reality for her but like you said the guy's sister seeing it and recognizing it is a big possibility I feel that'd be a cool twist

    Okay so I'm watching it again for like the 5th time and I'm just gonna put my thoughts here :P Idk if anyone's thought of it but I wonder if any of the townspeople, since it was theorized they might be Severed too, are like, Lumon rejects? Kinda? So now that we know Helly is an Eagan, it makes sense why she isn't allowed to leave even if she gets aggresive. But what if an average regular person really could leave after harassing them enough times? So maybe they were townspeople who were too much of a handful and left? I guess you'd have to bridge that with them being unknowingly wiped of their outer Lumon memories too though. Well I'm probably overthinking singular lines again (then again I started to think I was overthinking the "ask to leave three times" line and then I hear "what about your therapist that weird little guy with a mustache" -potentially Irving- and I'm like OMG NEVERMIND, THINK EVERYTHING.) anyway so yeah that one prob doesn't make sense but I thought I'd note it somewhere :^).

    Deception and propaganda are to control populations, as you pointed out. The final scene, IMO, is the real world. Clearly, there are neighboring silos. That is the secret they're keeping. People are people. The idea of other people besides themselves would compel them to want to mingle. Perhaps, that was the spark for the rebellion. There are more questions than answers. Our opinions is all there is. Besides the few facts, hints and scenes we have. Like you, I'm eager for season 2.

    Yo I am devasted to find out we were supposed to have 10 episodes to begin with. I had always felt like 9 episodes was a weird number of episodes for a season. I assumed #9 was added on to push us closer to the edge of suspense/one big cliffhanger, question asking episode.

    I think what made Abby go over the deep end was Boyd, disappearing into the forest and not coming back. That’s what made her snap. I do think she was having a hard time dealing with it like the son said, but I think by boyd not coming back was the final straw. Also, I never understood why the son was so mad at his father because you clearly seen that your own mother was about to shoot you and your dad had no choice but to try to save your life you think he wanted to shoot his own wife, but he didn’t want the wife to shoot the son. It’s a very tough decision to make. I think it was unfair for the son to blame the dad because Boyd probably blamed himself as well and if it wasn’t for Boyd, the whole town would probably still be chaotic. He bought structure.

    Devs is the best show I've seen besides Severance. It's intense tho. The most intense 8 episodes I've ever seen of anything. Also? I'm a Bay Area local. Born and raised. I can tell they bothered to get locals involved. It's the only show I've ever seen that gives off the right energy and this is despite Apple being based in the area and having Surface (which I watched for Gugu Mbatha-Raw and got bored of pretty rapidly)

    This is what I haven't figured out: they don't know what they're doing at Lumon, so why do they need to sever? It seems like they could just put numbers in boxes at a normal job. There's got to be something extreme going on to justify the costs.

    I think Devon knew Rick before he was severed and that’s the weird look she gives at 9:50. She knows Ricken and her brother are both severed and is doing her best to navigate a climate where the people she loves are both unaware of the danger and situation they’re in.

    What if she knew Ricken before he was severed? From the first time we met Ricken, until we knew more- I originally thought Devon was there because Mark was there… but what if not only were they either there together/ but Ricken was severed after Devon and he were married? What if Devon pretends to not know and that’s why she’s subtly pushing Mark to not be? Also, were Mark and Devon the product of a man who grew up in Kier?

    In my opinion, Boyd has both valid and questionable reasons for not sharing his experiences. While I understand his concern that sharing too much information during a crisis could lead to chaos, I believe that withholding information about his health condition could potentially endanger others.
