    I feel your frustration with the bugs!! When I don't want to spray with a DEET spray, I take a dryer sheet and rub it on my clothes and skin. It's nowhere as irritating as OFF or other conventional sprays, and works just about as well. I buy them at the generic dollar store to save a little $$. I hope that helps. And I have to say I am really impressed that you hit the black with your very first shot on that bow! I guess you're the arrow whisperer. :-) Looking forward to seeing the full review.

    Do not put foam board against the foundation wall. You leave an air gap so that the dehumidifier can draw the moisture out of the air back there.

  • @seansoutdoors
    @seansoutdoors18 сағат бұрын

    It is a relaxed grip for both. Never grip the bow, just let it rest against your hand. It may appear differently to you, but it is likely more related to the differences in the construction of each grip. Recurve grips are very different from compound bow grips.

  • @seansoutdoors

    Keep in mind most contractors do not necessarily understand the science of the situation. If there is any form of paint or sealant on the foundation wall then you would be trapping moisture against it and causing mold growth on the sealant as it breaks down over time. What I mean is anti microbials will break down and mold will eventually grow. If there is no sealant of any type on the foundation wall, I would not add any by using glue to affix it to the foundation. I’d use some kind of anchor that doesn’t have the potential to have mold growth. Bolt anchors would be an example of an anchor that would not have the potential for mold growth.

    1 Corinthians 8 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. God The Father (Spirit) Son (Body)= 1 Person The Son of God is the image of his "God`s Person" (not another person) Hebrews 1 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high Colossians 1 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Colossians 2 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.(God the Father/Spirit in Christ?) 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Galatians 4 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.(The Holy Spirit is the Son`s Spirit) Romans 8 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Spirit of God the Father is The Holy Spirit) Same Spirit or different persons? 1 Corinthians 12 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. One Spirit (God) One body (Christ) = 1 Person Come let us make man in Our Image? Who is us? God and His Word (God Said let there be light) John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. (Us ? God and His Word?) 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. God was made flesh? The Word was made flesh? God`s image? Christ. The Word`s image?Christ. Christ the Word made flesh. Christ The One God The Father/Spirit made flesh. 2 Corinthians 5 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. God The Father In Christ (One Person) Isaiah 9 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Christ called the Mighty God (The One God "The Father") Christ called the everlasting Father (The One God "The Father") 1 timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. The One God "The Father" was the Spirit In the Man "Christ The Lord Our God" Deuteronomy 6 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: John 20 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Mathew 28 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: The Lord told the Apostles to baptize in the "NAME" of, not names of, or titles of The Father and of the Son, and of The Holy Spirit. So the Apostles went and baptized in the Name of the Lord. Acts 2 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 8 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Acts 10 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. Acts 19 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 22 16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. 1 Peter 3 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: James 2 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

    Thanks for sharing some scripture. Isn’t it so interesting how scripture does not explain how it is possible for God to be “one” yet also be a Farher, a Son, and a Holy Spirit. I find it interesting how it was God’s chosen leaders of His Church who had to clarify that later in a council, since it was not addressed in scripture. They had to clarify that it is the “one Divine nature” of each person of the blessed Trinity that makes God “one.” Things like that help me see and understand why God gave us a loving authority over what is His true revelation. God bless and thanks again for sharing Scripture.

    @@seansoutdoors Scripture does not speak of a trinity, or that God is three persons. Scripture tells us He is one person. A three person god is made up, doctrine of men and is not scriptural. God the Father`s Spirit is The Holy Spirit. Mathew 1 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (The Holy Spirit/The Father of Christ) God the Father and the Holy Spirit are not different persons but the same Spirit. The Spirit of the Man Christ is the Father/Holy Spirit. God made himself a body and dwelt among us. He died, rose again on the third day and now he is alive forever more (His flesh died only) 2 Corinthians 5 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (God was in Christ) Sean, have you obeyed the scripture I posted on my last post? The traditions of men make the Word of God of none effect. Mark 7 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 2 Thessalonians 1 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; Acts 2 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Sean I love you enough to tell you the truth of God`s Word. Don`t let the doctrine of men cost you soul. I pray that God blesses you.

    God is one, yes, and God is revealed as the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. 1, 2, 3. When Jesus was on earth, he referred to his father in heaven, making it clear they were two separate entities in that respect. Jesus also told the Apostles that He was going to heaven so that He could send the Holy Spirit, a separate entity from the Father and Himself. So, how is it possible for Jesus to be God, the Father to be God, and the Holy Spirit to be God and be considered ONE God, yet we can clearly see that they are separate entities? It is not defined in Scripture how this is possible, that is why Jesus said to the chosen leaders of His Church, "I have much more to tell you but you cannot bear it now, but when He comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth." Think about in the Book of Acts the first time we saw the need for the Spirit to guide the Apostles to all truth because Jesus had not taught them what to do. The Gentiles began to convert to Christianity, and Jews were demanding that they be circumcised. The Apostles met, led by the Holy Spirit they were able to conclude that they did not need to be circumcised. There is much you and other Christians take for granted and overlook when it comes to these things. I am happy to explain to you where you are missing the mark. Send me an email through my website with your phone number and I will call you. It is much easier to explain over the phone then comments like this because there are many details you are missing. One clear one is that you are not even seeing the details I have been sharing with you concerning this mystery of God.

    @PennNative11 күн бұрын

    Shawn, One thing I just learned in a video and it was shown. That’s as you cut the arrow shorter. The spine will move around the shaft. So for you did those full length. Then cut them down. The spine very well could be in a different spot! The video was by exodus trail cams KZread page I believe. I also seen guys put an insert and point unglued in each end and use a bow press or some type of clam and the arrow will flex obviously 😂 and if you don’t have that tool. It a way you can get them at least very close. To see where the spine is on your arrows.

  • @seansoutdoors
    @seansoutdoors11 күн бұрын

    Cool. I usually leave mine full length but if I cut them is usually an inch at most. The supports that the arrow rests on are 28 inches apart before and after I cut (if I cut). Did they indicate what length they were cutting arrows and if they moved the supporting posts when changing the arrow length? I would imagine those types of details would be big factors in the whole thing.

  • @PennNative
    @PennNative11 күн бұрын

    The had a real high end tool. Fire nock mite have been the brand. As they cut the arrow shorter n shorter the spine moved around the shaft. You could track it. Like every inch or whatever they cut, it rotated the spine to a new position around the arrow.

  • @seansoutdoors

    1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV Blows Purgatory out of the water! 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

    lol, that passage is referring to when Jesus will come at the end of the world when heaven and earth will pass away. At that point, there will be no more earth and no more new people being born. In other words, purgatory will no longer be needed. Until then, purgatory exists my friend. Let me ask you a question. Where were all the souls of the righteous people who died in the Old Testament time before Jesus came to open the gates of heaven? I am talking about people like Noah, Abraham, Joseph the son of Jacob, king David? They were not in hell and not in heaven, so where were they? Scripture tells us they were in prison, 1 Peter 3:19, 1 Peter 4:6 also tells us Jesus preached to these souls. Protestants have also removed a book from their Bible that depicts this place in 2 Maccabee 12 which talks about them praying and offering sacrifices for the dead that they might be forgiven of the sin they committed. Those souls were not in hell because salvation is not possible for them, and they were not in heaven so where were they. Jesus also talked about being forgiven in the age to come in the Gospel of Matthew. He said that sins against the son of man could be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven in this age or the age to come. Where are those souls who are being forgiven in the age to come? This is not the time of judgement for at our judgment we are judged. 1 Cor. 3:13-15 explains our judgment and those whose works are burned up can still be saved, but only as through fire. Tell me, where are people being saved through fire? It is not heaven, for there is no purging fire in heaven. It is not hell, for people are not able to be saved who have been damned to hell. So where are the people being saved through fire? Lastly, it is clear that the souls of the just in the Old Testament time were waiting in prison. Where does scripture say that this place of prison evaporated into nothing and is not longer needed? Do not be surprised when you stand before Jesus in judgement and he shows you all the ways you lack love for me and any other brother, and then says, I still love you and want you to enter heaven but you are not yet perfect like my Heavenly Father is perfect. Therefore, you must be perfected in love before you can be in the eternal presence of my Father in heaven. Because I love you and have mercy on you I have created this place at the same time I created hell where you can go and be made perfect so that you are capable of being in the presence of my perfect Father. Once you have finished the purification process i will come and get you because I love you and you need to be perfected in my purifying love before you can withstand the presence of my Father.

Purgatory is an evil doctrine invented back centuries ago by the Catholic Church and was used to have worshipers to pay indulgences (money) to the church to pay for less time in Purgatory when they die in other words to pay for their sins to be forgiven partially or totally, that's how St Peter's cathedral in Rome was build, please do your research and understand this evil doctrine for yourselves!

    Scripture says that after Jesus died on the cross his soul went to preach to the souls in prison - please read 1 Peter 3:19. What did Jesus say to Mary Magdalene after the resurrection as recorded in John’s gospel? “Do not cling to me for I have not yet ascended to my father.” Please go and read those passages. Jesus had not yet ascended to heaven because he was with the spirits in “prison,” which he also referred to as “paradise,” which is not “heaven.” Lastly, the way you treat me is the same way you treat Jesus. How have you been treating Him? I’d say not too nice. I’d say a good way to view how well you are loving Jesus is to look at the person you are the meanest toward or the person you like the least, then imagine that Jesus will appear to you as that person on your day of judgment. God bless you.

    Your statement is rejecting what the Scriptures say, my friend. The Lord said "Today, you will be with me in paradise." The Scriptures then teach us that the paradise Jesus went to was not hell. It was the place where the souls of the righteous went after they died and awaited a savior to open the gates of heaven. Jesus affirmed this on the day of the resurrection when He said to Mary, do not cling to me for I have NOT YET ascended to my Father. You need to study your bible a bit better. In the process, study John 6:51-58. Notice how the disciples of Jesus who heard this had a hard time accepting it (John 6:60). We are talking about His own followers. Then they left Jesus over this teaching in John 6:66. Note the sign of the devil. Jesus then turned to the 12 Apostles and asked them if they also wanted to leave if they did not accept this teaching. This is the only place in the entire Bible where Jesus invites the 12 to leave if they are not going to take His teaching literally and accept it. Any time they did not understand Him, He explained it to Him. He did not change the meaning in that passage. When you find the Church that preaches that Message then you have found Jesus' Church.

    Lol, Read 1 Peter 3:18-21. It clearly depicts that after Jesus died on the cross, he went to preach to the souls in "prison." When Jesus was on the cross, he said to the good thief "TODAY you will be with me in paradise." Where did Jesus go after He died on the cross? To this place that is referred to as prison so that he could preach to the souls of the righteous who died during Old Testament times who were not damned to hell yet also could not enter heaven because Jesus had not yet opened the gates of heaven. In fact, we could not be justified until the resurrection as is indicated in Romans 4:25. Jesus died for our transgressions and was raised for our justification. We could not go to heaven until Jesus justified us. Regarding what was "finished on the Cross, you should listen to Dr. Scott Hahn's talk called The Fourth Cup. Look it up on KZread. Why are you attacking people who look to Jesus on the cross as their example as he calls all his disciples to carry their cross every day? Like He said to Paul, He would say to you, “why are you persecuting me?” The way you treat even a Catholic is how you treat Jesus. How do you think you are doing with that? I would start by adding or removing some twist to the cables as needed. If you are not sure if you need to add or remove, start by adding a full twist to one and see how that impacts the reference holes. Using this approach, you will see which way you need to go (add or remove twist) and then you can walk it into where it needs to be by continuing to add or remove small amounts of twist until you get there.

    Purgatory is never mentioned in the Bible and is a term made up by Catholicism! The Bible is very clear that when you die you are in the presents of the Lord. The perfect example of this is the thief on the cross. Luke 23-43 "Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Of cause in this case this thief was saved from Hell as he believed in Jesus being the son of God at the last moment of his life. Clearly there are many verses that tell us of the moment we die you will in the presents of the Lord. The Apostle Paul indicates this. The phrase “absent from the body” is found in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8. Paul states that he is confident in his eternal destiny and longs for the day when he can be “absent from the body” and be present with the Lord he loves and serves. To be “absent” from one’s body simply means to die because, at death, the spirit is separated from the body and moves into its eternal abode-either heaven with the Lord or hell, separated from God for eternity. Do not believe this false and misleading doctrine of the Catholic church it will only bring you despair and disillusion to your eternal salvation. Your sins have been paid for in full by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, John 19:30. Past, present and future the moment you believe and trust in the free Grace through FAITH you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and your salvation is eternally secure...READ YOUR BIBLE!

  • @seansoutdoors
    @seansoutdoors14 күн бұрын

    My friend, paradise is not heaven. Heaven is heaven. You also clearly did not listen to this podcast as you would have learned that Jesus did not go to heaven after He died on the cross. Scripture states (if you read your Bible as you claim you do) that Jesus went to preach to the Spirits in prison who had died in the Old Testament time but were not damned to hell. Where were those souls who were waiting for Jesus who were not in heaven but also not damned to hell? Jesus also referred to this same place as the Bosom of Abraham. Again, this place is not heaven and not hell. We see that clearly in the depiction of the bosom of Abraham in the Gospel of Luke. Go and read your Bible concerning that place that is not heaven and is not hell. It is a place where the souls of the righteous lives. Regarding your statement that when we die we will be in the presence of God, but what you left out is that we will be in front of God for our judgment (read Hebrews 9:27), which is the moment we find out from Jesus Christ if we are saved or damned to hell. As Jesus shows us in Scripture, many people will be surprised on that day because they thought they were going to be saved but receive a judgment of condemnation. Read Matthew 25:31-46 and ask if people are judged based on their works of Charity. Also read Matthew 7:21-23 and ask if faith saved those people? The read John 5:28-29 and pay attention to what Jesus bases His judgment on. Then read 2 Corinthians 5:10 which is one of Saint Paul's references to our judgment before Jesus when we die. Then check out Romans 2:6-7, Revelation 20:13, and also 1 Corinthians 3:13-15. This last one is Paul talking about our Day of Judgment. Notice how the person's works are tested just as is depicted in all the other accounts of our judgment before God. Paul notes that a person can still be saved, but only as through fire. We know people in hell cannot be saved, so he is not talking about them. We also know that there is no purifying fire in heaven, because Heaven is bliss with God. So where are the people who are being purified through fire? All of this is in accordance with what Scripture says in James 2:24 that we are justified by our works and not by faith alone. My friend, you have come to me not with a spirit of charity, but of aggression and condescension. You attack what you do not understand. I believe you love Jesus, but you do not even see how the evil one has influenced your fallen human nature to attack someone in Christ without even listening to what he has said first. If you did, and if you read the Bible on these things, and if you prayed to Jesus about this topic, you would see that you are the one who is in error and it is because you have been listening to people who may have good intentions (just as you do) but who are actually deceived by the evil one concerning these things. God bless you.

Do not be like the disciples how left Jesus because they did not want to place their faith in this teaching John 6:66. I invite you home. I am a free son of the Father, and I receive the fullness of grace and truth. What you probably need is some good counseling and deliverance prayer if you lived in fear as a Catholic. Please learn your Bible a little better. Before Jesus came, heaven was not open to humans. I hope you realize that. The souls of the people who died but were considered righteous, people like Noah, went to a waiting place since heaven was not open to them and they were not damned to hell. This place was referred to by three different names in Scripture. It was referred to as the Bosom of Abraham In Luke 16:19-26. As you see in that passage, there was a great chasm between hell and this place so that it could not be crossed over. When Jesus spoke to the good thief, He referred to this place as paradise. In 1 Peter 3:19-21, it is referred to as prison. When you put them all together you understand what this place is. It is a place where everyone went and stayed in a communal embrace. It was paradise in the sense that they were not longer tempted by the devil or able to sin. It was prison in the sense that they were only there for a set time. When that time was ended, they would be set free with God in heaven forever. This is what the Bible teaches and what the Catholic Church has taught since the time of the Apostles. Saint Paul also refers to this in 1 Corinthians 3:13-15. He talks about our "Day" of judgment which each of us will face the moment after we die (Hebrews 9:27, 2 Corinthians 5:10). In 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, he says that our works will be tested. When they are not based on Jesus, they will be burned up. We will suffer loss. We will still be able to be saved, but only as through fire. People in hell cannot be saved, so it is not talking about them. People in heaven are already saved and there is no suffering of any kind. Where are the people who are being saved through fire? It is in the bosom of Abraham, it is in this paradise, it is in this prison that Scripture tells us about. It is not a mindless suffering, but the pain you feel when you know you are going to see the one you love but you have to wait a little bit. It is that longing for Jesus that pulls us out of that last bit of selfishness that still exists in many of us after we die. God loves us and wants us to be ready to be with him, but Scripture also says that nothing imperfect can enter heaven. It is that last step in the purification process if we did not finish it while on earth. This is the truth. This is the good news. The good news is that God loves and saves us even though we may not reach perfection before we die. I can say with certainty that I have not felt loved or cared about by you, but rather attacked. The way you have treated me is the same way you have treated Jesus. God loves you, but He also does not want you to treat followers of Jesus (or anyone) that way. If you died today, you would likely still be saved, but you are not perfected yet. You have not yet learned how to love all of God's children. Those things that prevent you from loving need to be purified (burned off). You will suffer loss, and you will be saved, but only as through fire until you learn how to love even someone like me. God bless you.
