  Hi, I'm considering buying it because advertised 56dB noise level - but what is the actual noise level if you use sonometer in 1-2 meter distance? on air conditioning low temperature mode while cooling down compressor is on and on different fan settings? also what is noise level in sleep mode and what this sleep mode do in ac mode? Could you record video or comment on your findings in that matters?

  Do not buy these, I have 2, the compressor kicks on and off every 8 mins, does not even cool a small apartment. They are both brand new. DO NOT BUY!!

  My 12,000 BTU unit is excellent. Keeps my huge apartment just fine, even when it is 90 out for days at a time.

  I purchased this last summer and after few weeks of use this summer, it stopped blowing cold air. 1 year and it broke. Can’t repair it as it cost more for service repair than just buying a new one.

  have got 2 tips for anyone with this AC or other 2 hose whynter AC, the air filter carbon activated filter, just buy any carbon activated filter, cut to size, and while the AC is on attach it to the outside of the AC, where you see the filter mesh is, and the suction should keep it there!!! 2nd tip, don't buy hose insulator, get a bath towel, wet the towel a lil bit, then drape it over the exhaust hose side and you got an instant hose cooler, enjoy!!!!

  Thanks. Suggest you use a kill-o-watt to measure actual electrical consumption over 24 hours when reviewing electrical devices. I have a similar older unit and actually have a small port to exhaust the hot air out through the wall. Cost me about $150.
