    Unreal! I'm in a current project with rusted out wheel wells, (and other spots). After the repairs are done, I was wondering about this whole process over old paint, and new repair, blending, AND it's all outside, (blah, blah, blah...)! This made my decision much easier to move forward with, (the indecision of), "should I just spray paint the repair, then blend by cut & polish the rest...or wet sand the whole panel, then primer, paint, clear coat" so yeah, lets do the panel...I felt the whole CLEAR COAT, after the polishing, is really impressive! Thanks!

    I had a welder working for me who constantly failed to show up for work due to his drinking habits. We got even with him by taking the lens out of his hood ,painted it black and put it back in again. When he finally shows back up he totally freaked out. “I gotta quit drinking, I can’t see to weld anymore! The entire shop never laughed so hard!

    Shit it looks like ya gonna get fit using that TURBO CAN ! 😂😂but man it’s a good product by the looks of it I got myself some of the 5n1 nozzle cans to paint my bike,especially now that I have found out it is fuel n oil resistant so that’s a bonus, it just doesn’t say so on the can

    Awesome what kinda bike do you have, I use to have a softtail custom harley. I will say if you want to make it shine like crazy shoot that 2k clear over it then, man ole man is it shiny. You gave me an idea I may custom paint a sportster tank I have with just spray paint!!

    I've seen success with 1 gallon rustoleum paint jobs I've been wanting to add a bit of pop could you make a video of black paint with gold flake ? Curious how you prep it Flake on paint or clear coat?

  • @ACDesignsGarage
    @ACDesignsGarage14 сағат бұрын

    I may have to experiment with that , but off the top of my head I'll give give you 2 different ways you could try it.#1 shoot your rustoleum gloss black let it tac, then get some of the gold metallic hold it away from the pannel around 2 ft and just mist it around till you get the look you want let it tac then shoot it with 2k spraypaint clear then cut and buff. # 2 if your using a spray gun You can put down your base color then mix in some flake in the clear coat shoot that then shoot a coat of clear with no flake over that. Another idea is maybe you can put some flake in the black, we'll just have to experiment!!!

Now to dial in my welding skills as I haven't welded since high school and just bought a cheap HF Titanium flux core welder. Great video, I learned from this video more than the litteraly hundreds on welding elsewhere.

    It's these kinds of tips that make the difference. I've seen people try to spray metallic over a dissimilar color and couldn't figure out why it took so many cans and still didn't cover. Then, they blame the cans. Lol.

    It turned out as good as the paint on a new car with less orange peel but your haze is from cutting too dry, gotta stop when it turns to gum or it just blends in but i wouldn't be afraid to use that turbo on my old truck but id definitely clear it just for that extra protection

    I like the whip and pause you show. I have always been into shielding gas.. am TICKLED at how good Stainless Flux core works in my millermatic 140 Autoset on LOW power, very low speed, even odder its on 120v 15 amp circuit off my back deck, a 50 foot heavy duty extension cable. I was using shielded mig for mild steel but needed to change it up for the Stainless project. It really did the job on my stainless exhaust system. The cost of a 2 ft tank of shielding gas was 140 at the local welding shop.. so, I found E308LFC-O .035-Diameter Stainless Flux Core SONNLER, packaged well in a vacuum pack (ideal) and buzzed straight off the line in DCEN mode. I do a ellipsis shape real fast on the tips, but a quick wiggle/pause in the middle.. looks very much like your welds, looks great! thanks for the good walk through, and focus to safety. Anti Spator... zigzag charlie brown.. hah

    Poor eyesight so glasses, speedglass with inner and outer protection plastic lenses. Total of 8 surfaces that need to be clean to start with. Some good lighting on the area that you are welding will help too. Adjust the "darkness" on your speedglass.
