Looks very smart you've earned it keep up the great vlogs
Thanks so much
I enjoyed the vlog guys. I've got a Volvo EV in England and I love it , I drive to Scotland for work a lot and no problem so far in 12 months, plus no tax to pay.
Great to hear!
Omg it looked like it was going great at first hope you enjoyed your time with your lovely Chloe anyway ♥️
Oh yes it was great to hang out with her
We love D.C. thanks for showing some of our favourite places. If anyone is planning on visiting D.C. and would like a tour of the monuments, I’d thoroughly recommend looking up Trip Hacks D.C. the owner, Rob, is very knowledgeable and does a great walking tour. The museums were a godsend while we were there last time because it was so hot. Natural History & Air & Space are personal favourites. Thanks for showing us around
DC is such a great place to visit , over and over
Proper British reg 😂 we have friends in South Carolina with ‘Ar Lass’ 😊😊 My husband has just bought his third Lexus RX450 , beautiful car, never had any problems with previous 2, highly recommend hybrid.
Good to know thanks
Nice video! I’ve never been.
It's good
When are you buying that diamond for Max.
When I have enough money :-)
The Elephant and Castle ha ha that’s in London I wonder if the proprietor is from there!
We did not stay to ask :-)
Hello neighbors! The first year we lived here we rented a house with that floor plan. Super groovy. Love what you did with the backyard! Enjoy your lovely home!!! ❤❤❤
Awesome! Thank you!
Just beautiful the Christmas Village ❤❤
Yes it was!
I am 41 in the UK with zero savings and zero knowledge but I am hoping to learn all these lessons as I want to semi-retire at 55. Thank you for these tips you seem like such a lovely wholesome couple 💕
Hope our experience helps you
I’m not a person that suffers from anxiety however I would find that experience totally anxiety inducing. Road trips in outback Australia certainly wouldn’t work. I live in an inland Australian city and I love my hybrid.
Anxiety is a real issue for us
🥰 lovely to see chloe , great video, you and maxine seem so happy and relaxed since you retired ! Love from the Midlands xxx
It’s a;ways great to be back with the kids
I have never been to DC but like your approach and tips& tricks. Now I have to go!
It is a great city to visit
We love DC have family who live in Alexandria and have been a couple of times so much to see and I still think the metro is the cleanest one we have ever been on.
The metro is definetly is one of the best we have been on
Shame that you're thinking of getting rid of the MY.. I've been trouble free in my Model Y for 2 years and prior to that, was trouble free in my Model 3 for 3 years. I've driven up and down the UK various times and never once had the worry or felt it impacted our journey to consider moving back to ICE or Hybrid. I guess it's all down to the lack of full infrastructure (including service stations) which sounds like the USA which isn't quite up there or as reliable as other countries. Thing is though, driving a ICE/Hybrid - you could get just as worse issues on a 2,000 mile journey, so it's all relative I guess.
I really want a car where I can call the AA and they can come and help get me going as opposed to have to go find a specialist service center . The phantom braking was another killer as well
Looks a stunning place the buildings are beautiful, great vlog again 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Looks great. I'm amazed at all the knowledge you have of all these places .Great blog 👍
Thanks! 😃
Washington definitely on our bucket list! Love a museum me!!
It's so good!
Went on a day trip to Washington by coach when we were staying in NJ from England. Loved the Lincoln memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Smithsonian, and Georgetown. Back then you could get up a lot closer to the White House. My kids were very young then and were really surprised how small it was. Everyone else on the coach spent the afternoon in McSorleys and were asleep by 6pm as we drove out of the City. They missed how impressive it looked illuminated. We had gone round Arlington Cemetery on the way there. Really stunning.
The city is wonderful isn’t it
@@ThemeParkBazza We were absolutely blown away by it. Hope I go back one day. You are up early!
It’s 10am in the UK
@@ThemeParkBazza Oh you are over here. Thought you were in Florida and up at 5! 🤭
What a beautiful city. The architecture is stunning. Always lovely to see Chloe ☺️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mr Bazza & Mrs Bazza , You mentioned flying into the metropolitan area flying into DCA & IAD but as an alternative how far is BWI and would u recommend using it ? Lots of good hacks . Christy 🇮🇪/🇵🇹 👍
BWI works, it is a 40 minute drive or 50 mins on the train so not a near as where we were
So nice to hear someone else say that DC is one of their favorite places. Been going for just over 20 years, once or twice a year.
We love it
Good video thank u seems funny hearing u say Mall the anerican way i think lol
20 years does make an impact
Definitely feeling old when you remember Ronald Reagan as President
I am old lol
I am really old, I remember President Eisenhower.
Thanks Baz, my favorite City too, become expensive from the UK now.
We do love it
Great video. Looks a fascinating place to visit.
Thank you
This is cool for me because the one and only time i was there was in 1984 and there was nothing but trees around the Smithsonian Institute and ofc you could see the Lincoln memorial i think. it was said it would take a person 88 years to stop and read everything on every exhibit in the Smithsonian back then i wonder what it is today? seems impossible right? I am enjoying seeing how it is now very cool!
Maxines Mum used to stop and read everything. We would get through half a museum a day lol
Is Chloe a Doctor. Lovely to see her on your vlog!
No , she works as an admin in a MRI centre
Enjoyed seeing Washington. Thank
Glad you enjoyed it
We visited dc in April whilst staying in NYC We planned to visit some of the museums but like you said you needed a ticket which we didn’t know about 🙁 We did get to see a black hawk fly over near the White House (which is very small) and we saw the doomsday plane take off
Very cool
I’ve only been once, but loved it.Got the hop on hop off bus.So many great things to see.The White House was smaller than I expected. Thanks for sharing .
We did that bus many years ago
We went to DC a few years ago. Had stayed with friends in Maryland and needed somewhere secure to park car, as had all our luggage with us, as we were travelling onward to Orlando. So we researched and the Arlington Cemetery Parking was by far the cheapest at $8 for the day !! And safest in DC ! We did Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Second World War Memorial and White House, all in around 6 hours. Then drive the Dulles to fly down to FL……….A great day 🥰
That's a fair chunk of visits in such a short time
@@ThemeParkBazza we only had a few hours and we definitely made the most of it x
Well done. Everyone should, time permitting, visit the Round Robin Bar at the Willard Hotel. The history oozes there!
Ohhh, next time
Monument. Washington MONUMENT. The Lincoln Memorial but The Washington Monument. 😛
You are correct
it's even cheaper to stay in Maryland my friend. I live in College Park. Lots of hotels that I can guarantee you are cheaper than Arlington and Alexandria and richville Virginia.
Good point
great vid guys! BTS. Where did you buy those blue sunglasses, please?
From Amazon, we have a link on our store Check out this page from themeparkbazza www.amazon.com/shop/themeparkbazza?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_aipsfshop_aipsfthemeparkbazza_6S2DXY6F1N73MY6T44B3&language=en_US
Growing up in Maryland, the majority of our school field trips in the 1970's and 1980's were to DC (National Zoo, Smithsonian, National Art Gallery, Kennedy Center etc..)
That's amazing
There are Metro stations in Maryland as well. If you stay in Maryland while visiting Washington DC you are also near Annapolis and Baltimore (if you want to visit those cities). If you are visiting for a week you are also not far from Anteitam, Harper's Ferry and Gettysburg if you have a car.
Yes plenty to so in that area
I think any issue can occur when driving that amount of mileage even in a normal vehicle but wouldn’t say it’s a disaster . Sorry about your ankle Bazza
2000 miles is not a big trip in the USA to be fair
Just watched the first 5 minutes. You didn’t use the advised planned route and know that the route you want to take doesn’t have enough chargers. And why rely on the car to calculate after a software update and not use a third party trip planning software as backup. Can’t wait to see why this goes wrong.😮 --------------- Ok watched it all, faults can happen to any car. Phantom braking, Tesla have no excuse should have been fixed years ago. Did you have a charge port adapter for CCS2 so you can use other chargers ? The trip seemed to go very well (apart from the fault) 👍 Hope your ankle is better, take care.
The Phantom braking was very scary
Mr Bazza you're amind of information and Mrs Bazza I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to put up with their jokes like you're my husband makes me laugh bless them ❤❤
She suffers in silence
@@ThemeParkBazza 🤗
Love it just the look on you're faces ❤❤
It is a fun ride
@@ThemeParkBazza 🤗
Fantastic video! Such great insights into retirement planning. If you ever fancy being a guest on my personal finance podcast let me know.
Thank you! Will do!
Wow what a faff to have a Tesla that would stress me right out, I get stressed enough driving already let alone contending with all that technology, I’m sticking to my chuggy diesel. x
I do not blame you
Waaay late to the party. Hopefully you've mended and are hybrid car shopping. Oh and Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸 😉
Yes, not yet, thank you :-)
Well guy's last time me and my husband were there was 2002 memories long time ago, we do love the Bass Pro Shops ❤
A wide range of items
seems like its a trip from charging station to charging station. Instead of enjoying the holiday, you're having to plan how to get from one station to the next. I won't be buying electric. Infrastructure isn't there, finding the right station for your needs, vandals taking the copper, poor resale value of the car if you can even sell it, I don't see anything positive about having an EV.
To be fair, they are great around town when you have a home charger. A lot cheaper than petrol and very low maintenance. As for road trips, not so much
Sorry about your sprained ankle, and the problems with the car. Great that you posted this because it shares what trips could be like. We travel cross-country a lot. We've driven to Washinton State, Florida, Ga, several times. So, I don't think an only electric car would work across country through desert driving. Tesla has lots of chargers it seems. Must be the ones the government paid millions for and only got 7 installed must not have been done through Tesla. Elon Musk must be the only person in the country who can accomplish anything. Too bad he wasn't born here so he could run for the presidency!
Of through Texas, there do not look to be a lot of chargers away from the interstates
@@ThemeParkBazza It was difficult to find gas stations across Montana and into Wyoming.
So I wonder how hard it is then to find EV charging there ?
@@ThemeParkBazza I doubt you can except in bigger cities.
Mr Bazza you would make a really good holiday rep ❤
I would give away too many free drinks
