The bathroom is just gorgeous. As troublesome as it was I think you did end up with better mirrors. I so want those!! As Max was relaying the Home Dumpo shenanigans I was getting dejavu for our master bedroom remodel except it was mirrored doors for walk in closet. I rejected 3 times and ended up going with a specialized door company. Sheesh. Enjoy your well deserved weekend away when it comes.

You’re doing a cracking job being project manager Maxine ❤ we had our bathroom all ripped out last year and replaced and we found some surprises such as mould and pipework being bodged from previous time it was done. Looks absolutely amazing

Oh my goodness the issues seem to be never ending! It seems as if they did a great job though, and quick. I really like the idea of having the two vanities as opposed to one long one with a double sink; it gives you both more room. As always, Maxine`s design ideas turned out beautiful.

The bathroom looks fantastic!! You may have resolved the shower control face plate by now, but if you haven't, I would suggest checking with a local machine shop to see if you could get one fabricated. It probably won't be cheap, but it will be less headache than a new hole in the wall.

We had exactly the same mould under our master bedroom shower when we had a crack in the tray and had to replace the whole thing. They treated the mold and it didn’t smell after. Thankfully had no ants

Looks great! The inside walls of the bathroom resemble a garden shed. 😂 Our house in Pennsylvania is a stone colonial revival style built in the 1940s set in an acre of beautiful landscape garden. The guy who built it owned a lumber yard, so solid wood throughout, floors, roof, interior paneling. The insurance company estimated it would cost a million dollars to rebuild now, even though the house is only worth around $250k! Poor Maxine looks tired, almost slurring her words, drooping eyelids. 😮 You guys need a break from all of this!

@@ThemeParkBazza yes, or I wouldn’t have asked. There are more crazy rip off contractors here than should ever be allowed to walk the streets. 😡 mine came from a reputable tile and stone shop in Orlando.

Finally catching up with this. I hope the Lodge Guys aren't charging you too much to use their room 😂 How have you found vlogging during all of the renovations? Has it added to the stress or has it been useful to document the process?

Actually it’s been less stressful vlogging the work as I don’t have to travel anywhere or plan anything to do it, just pick up the camera each evening. It also a great way to look back on the memories of having it done

Not silly at all, some times it has a slight saltiness to it but not like seawater. Most of the salt is converted to chlorine by the machinery

The trouble with timber built houses they don’t like water,and it penetrates everything,stucco needs to breve

Only the upper floor is timber frame, but you are correct

Can I ask what maybe a silly question, but with all the extreme weather you have, heat and lightening, why does no one ever cover all the pipe work and equipment down the side of the house? I’ve always wondered this when we’ve been to Florida. Surely it would look neater and wouldn’t get struck by the storms, told you it was a silly question 😅
