Does this mean windows update will finally move me off 22H2 or should I give up faith and start with an ISO and clean install? I have been patient in waiting and trying to determine why windows update hasn’t offered me the major feature update(s) since 22H2… I am still on 22621.3880

@@joshuahernandez-th6ov Then why can't I run all my EXE files in Linux? How about Microsoft Office installer doesn't work in Linux? I don't want an emulator or some translation layer. Also I want everything that Windows 11 does exactly the way that Microsoft wants us to.

I just use debloated win11. Yesterday I tried multiple Linux distros and I had errors with installing apps here and there through the terminal. Win11 debloated just works the best for me
@@AchtungEnglanderI mean I don't use Linux but I would imagine the steam deck is increased its market share considerably. It's mostly used as a gaming only device, but it could absolutely be used as mini PC.

"Linux share on Steam hits highest peak in years thanks to Steam Deck By Liam Dawe - 2 July 2022 at 9:42 am UTC." And a similar report from about a year later than that. Linux hits a multi-year high for user share on Steam thanks to Steam Deck By Liam Dawe - 2 June 2023 at 1:06 pm UTC There might be one for 2024, but I think the point is made that Linux market share is growing mostly due to steam deck sales. It's nowhere close to penetrating windows or apple numbers but it's growing at its highest rate ever. I don't think it's necessarily the future of computing, but I think it's objectively true that Microsoft 's data collection and opting you into services and constant advertising and so on is just unforgivable. And again, this is market share on steam, but it stands to reason that that reflects a growing market share overall since steam deck requires a computer. I don't know if we can post links or not, so I'll do it in the next thread. But there's a very handy chart that shows Linux market share growing considerably since 2018.

You can program the D pad buttons to the back buttons...idk maybe a update after all these years lol but mine programmed the D pad
Microsoft talking about their hardware exactly the same way apple does is hilarious. Because Apple's stuff works great, Microsoft's stuff... well.... Let's say the ARM stuff still doesn't work properly 12 years later.

Apple has 8% global laptop market share for a reason: -Apple's laptops have 20th century hardware (no touch screen, pen support, OLED screens, instant on, 2-in-1 designs, 180 degree screens, etc.) -Apple has a history of class actions lawsuits: cracked screen, green screen, connectivity issues, thermal throttling, keyboard issues -Apple laptops can't game...End of Story

WP 8 (and 8.1) was the best. WP 10 ruined the entire experience. WP 10 fundamentally changed how we interacted with WP 8 and in my opinion, it was unnecessary. Microsoft didn’t make any viable efforts to promote their OS and then tried to make WP similar to iOS and Android through WP10. Sad.
Great interview. I understand the reasons, but I really hope for a Surface Laptop with 5G sometime in the future.

If Microsoft is competent after 2006. Surface RT and Windows RT wouldn't have failed Don't need to be a genius to understand that when they killed off Windows Live Messenger in favor of Skype which has less features then Skype and the People App (that nobody uses) also died somehow
