    Nahhh, how is hacid D tier? It gives a free venomwave >:( Vacid currently deserves bottom C, even tho it gb's it still ground bounces which makes the hit a 50/50 whether it converts, but yeah dmg is still dmg. c.barrage is awesome. As a person who uses Envenom in close range rps a lot, it deserves mid B, envenom has saved my ass time and time again when my opponent is trying to fish for river monsters, Envenom almost calls out every single jab of the entire cast, could call out throw too when doing back/neutral juke when far away enough, my point is, Envenom is better than getting parried, even tho it resets to neutral you get passive meter gain and chip dmg at max 2k, and when your opp is passive that's a guaranteed 1.5k dmg. And who in the world would not use their jabs in close range rps? Envenom just wins. Vault is super niche, so yeah, but it is a combo stabilizer when you read your opp di up in the sky then lead into pounce, boom, free oki.     I feel there are still some instances where the prediction is inaccurate, I remember in a wizard ditto where the prediction showed me jumping over a spark bomb without any issue but after the turn played the spark bomb did infact hit without any input from the opponent

    Nice short video about it! as someone who enjoys sniffing projectile parries like crazy, it certainly helps to have a proper explanation, specially to show what my ramblings are even about, something probably worth mentioning (by some quick labbing to confirm my thoughts), would be how the manipulation only happens to backwards movement, if you go forwards, you're gonna have the same IASA, the opponent would just interrupt it on your frame, if anything, personally my favourite way to approach projectiles is by jumping forwards, mostly because it lets you fine tune to any other stuff the opponent can do, mainly Wizard and gust being the main troublesome part of trying to parry, of course not flawless at all, and specially with the previous example, it's not exactly safe to jump into the projectile, more so with gust just blocking any options for it, but it can look really cool if done properly i can tell that much, and of course, once you got the first parry and there's more attacks comming, just keep blocking, magic will happen by itself [:

    Yep! Backwards movement includes jumping backwards, importantly. And you're right, jumping in is one of the best ways to get parries. Thanks for the comment!

And this sure helps to have some proper reference to point at when showing a few friends who are starting out the ropes of it, this is one of the points i tend to explain when talking about projectile parries but seems i can't get myself to throw the right words, this might just cover up for that matter, keep up the good work honestly! :D

    you can also do this while your opponents are in hitstun (aka they can't act), or if you just win rps by clicking concussive (which happens more then you would think!)

    @@whimsnum I think the issue with them already being in hitstun is that the combo may not connect anymore. I guess you could win in RPS with CB, but your opp would be passing over their throw and their 4f punch/pommel, or just a block. you yourself are in danger from a bunch of moves too! seems wasteful to commit armor to it too... but i guess theres a chance it works! Its an interesting combo, i just dont see it in play cause the situation doesnt come up

    There are spacings where a grab/4f jab does not connect, and conc is incredibly powerful in that range. It also becomes a 4f move at +1 (ties with jabs) and beats grabs at +2. And it works better into block then keypunch, while still beating slow options, and is parried for less often. Plus, the combo works off of common-hitting moves (step, chainsaw, tclap, etc). Overall, there are TONS of good things about conc, and I highly recommend using it more if you aren't already. (but aso never spend armor on conc)

    @@whimsnum i usually use conc heaps in combos, its so good for that, the damage is nice and it just gives you so many frames! I do use it to start combos, i think i like to propel>conc? but looking at the numbers, it seems so silly to leave yourself open to a jab/throw if youre in the range for it (as in the scenario in the video), if youre using conc youre really just punishing a jump/GB, right? and you could have done that with KP, which would at least clash with their jab too? or am i missing something there?

    Jabs and grabs aren't clicked as often as you're saying, as there are a lot of downsides to both of those moves (short range, most often played around, low reward, etc). Most characters actually get little to nothing off of BOTH jab and throw if you shorthop in RPS (and DI correctly). Wizard doesn't have a jab, and Robot, Cowboy, and Mutant all lead to pretty mid outcomes. Newer players often think getting hit is the worst outcome, which is why getting grabbed or jabbed seem so scary, but eating a 4k combo into wakeup pressure is much scarier. (keypunch vs conc) The short of it is this: Safer options (keypunch) have less reward, and that safety isn't worth giving up the reward that riskier moves (concussive) give.

    Guard breaks were always so confusing. Sometimes, they just don't break guard when it's not a parry.

    It may be a case of this: (check the pinned comment for other things I forgot to mention) - Soft blocking takes priority over guard breaks. This means if your opponent successfully blocks an attack (like a projectile), but fails to parry, any guard break that hits will not break his or her block.

    It's easy to tellthat you only play Robot when you say stuff like: Ninja sweep is a combo ender, Wizard would like to have nunchuck over tome slap, Rebirth is ender (it's not it's undiable, good damage, heals mutant and restores ALL AIR OPTIONS). Pretty much all mutant comboes above 6k use Rebirth at least once. Oh also Caustic barrage is unscaled damage it's the corrner stone of every good mutant combo and it's good in RPS. Also Orb is S-tier, change my mind.

    minor tip if you are close range always use your armor this *does* put you into - advantage so keep that in mind

    Not always true, being in a disadvantageous state makes it really hard for armor to be better than normal block. Often times it is better to save armor for hard callout options or situations where armor beats more of your opponents action. Also when this video was made armor worked differently, anyone watching this keep that in mind!

    Yep! Sometimes moves are active for several frames (which is why ~ is used) or can have their timings changed through various means. In future updates you will be shown the first frame a move hits in the prediction menu (which is also the timing your parry needs to be set to).

    hey , robot main in training here, first: awesome video, i never knew you could actually chain loic and the throws. but two, are there any reliable ways to make use of remote bomb and that angled air grab robot has? The air grab specially is something i very rarely manage to find a usage for since it just automatically ends a combo , and i don't know if there's anyway to continue off of it or not. Also is there any way of telling when bounds check will throw the opponent into a wall and when it will slam them into it? i never can tell Which one it'll do and it trips me up any time it isn't the slam

    Thanks for the comment! To answer both of your questions: 1. Bomb isn't useful in any of Robot's combos, sadly. Not only is it hard to line up, but your opp's DI makes it hard to follow up even on a successful hit. The extra damage just isn't worth the added inconsistency. Also, sometimes you can land a shockwave after throw, but generally you want to stay away for similar reasons as above. 2. Bounds check takes your opponent to the wall when hit outside of a combo (aka if it is the FIRST hit on your opponent) otherwise it will travel a short distance and throw them.
