As someone with DID, I would never want a therapist who has it. It’s hard enough for me to stay myself at work. I don’t want their evil alter to agree with me that I should kill myself. I’m also a poly, trans furry so this hits home hard, but this person themself seems horrible. They just happen to be into/of the same type of people I am.

Lots and lots of dissociative disorder misinformation in this video. I'm specifically going to call out the part around 9:45 here. DID and OSDD are both DEFINITELY recognized as being "real things", both by the DSM-5 and the ICD-10. Just because someone who claims one of these disorders is a trash human and may even be faking them does not mean the disorders themselves are false disorders whose names only exist to serve as a way for kids and teens to be "quirky" on TikTok. DID, formerly MPD, has existed as a genuine mental health diagnosis for decades now, and OSDD was added to cover those who have some symptoms of DID but not enough to qualify for a diagnosis of DID (specifically, OSDD has two main presentations - one type is demonstrated as someone who has multiple distinct identities without the amnesiac barrier between them, and the other type is for those who have the amnesiac barrier without necessarily having more than one distinct identity, to put it into simple terms). Additionally, the usage of the term "being plural" or "plurality" is merely an attempt to relate the experiences of DID to people who may not understand what they're going through, and also a way to remove the sterility of clinical terminology from how they refer to themselves. It's much the same as how people choose to identify themselves as "gay" rather than only ever saying "homosexual". Nobody has ever claimed that "plurality" is a clinical term or that they have been diagnosed officially with a disorder named "being plural". Dissociative disorders are very real disorders that occur in highly traumatized individuals, as dissociation to that extent is formed early in life as a coping mechanism to survive extremely distressing and often life-threatening events. Due to the uptick in online discourse and subsequent negative visibility of that spectrum of disorders, there has been much misinformation about and questioning of the validity of the diagnosis of these disorders at all. Possibly one of the most notorious occasions of negative attention being shed on dissociative spectrum disorders was the time Trisha Paytas claimed to have DID after Anthony Padilla gave his platform to people who have DID via his "I Spent A Day With..." series. It was only natural that this event led many people to believe the disorder itself was fake, as it had been so easy for Trisha to claim they had it out of the blue, but we must remember several key facts: 1) Trisha is a known liar and troll, and has REPEATEDLY done similar things to this in the past AND since, 2) just because you cannot VISUALLY observe what is happening in someone's mind does not in any way mean that what they are reporting is not true to their experience. It's also easy enough to claim you have depression, as the majority of the symptoms of depression are not entirely visible, especially to the general public who don't see that person on a daily basis in an unfiltered environment, yet depression is generally accepted by the public as being a real and valid mental health disorder. Furthermore, the scientific community have found more-tangible evidence of DID and other dissociative spectrum disorders through performing brain scans on individuals who have been diagnosed with these conditions, much in the same way that brain scans have shed light on the genuineness of depression as a clinical psychiatric disorder, which indicates that dissociative disorders are indeed real and the experiences reported by those with DID are true and valid. Again, just because you do not like someone who claims to have a particular mental health diagnosis does not mean they don't actually have that condition or that the condition they report having is in any way not real. As a reminder, both the DSM and the ICD recognize dissociative spectrum disorders as being valid diagnoses. I feel like in general there’s this pseudo culture of p*rn and s*xual activity on the internet. Which is really bad, for not well known reasons. There’s some disturbing but well founded research on p*rn, and it’s got some nasty implications, basically saying that people who are addicted to it start to psychologically connect those images to items instead of people, and by extension s*xual feelings to objects. I won’t go into detail on those studies, but anyone reading this can go find out for themselves. I feel like this is a big explanation to why there are so many stories nowadays of people treating their significant other like objects and inferiors. It also explains in part why there are so many pedos on the internet, and why they’re generally horrible people. They don’t care about the people anymore, the literal children, they’re just there for those n*des, and willing to manipulate, groom, and even stalk children to get them.
