    Thanks for checking it out! For KZread, technically I don't do ironman but that's because of the tech involved to make these vids and as a safety net if something fails in the recording process (flight stick and throttle, gaming PC, capture card, recording laptop, mic, etc.) That being said, I do treat it as ironman from the perspective of if I get killed / captured, the career is over.

    Originally, the sirens were mandatory. They worked all the time from take off to landing. This really made the pilots angry and so they complained about it. At first the bosses refused to do anything about it. The bosses finally relented and made it so the pilot could turn the siren on or off. As a little added FYI, they also attached whistles to bombs to give them that whistling noise as they fell to earth.

    Glad to see you found the window in the floor. One of the neatest things about the Stuka. A KZreadr called DieSheriff has spent years 'flying' in IL-2, mostly fighters, but some bombers too, and he has a large number of "How To Fly ..." videos. He says that those who 'fly' in the game are people who love flying. I was going to suggest you watch a "How To" video for the Stuka, there are some, but I couldn't find one that was 'complete'. A few were tried, but they vary in quality, and the pilot usually gets shot down, since they seem to be doing the video during a regular IL-2 multi-pilot session with lots of real opposition pilots, who make short work of the slow (especially in mid-war) Stuka. Nevertheless, they do cover some of the basics, like take-off RPM settings, cruise flight RPM, maximum time for Emergency Power setting, the ATA setting for each RPM, and the need to open or close the radiator for more speed or more cooling. The Stuka also has an automatic pull-out of the dive altimeter setting, which will not only get you out of the dive but also release the bomb if you've blacked out! If you watch some of DieSheriff's videos on flying different German aircraft, like various versions of the Bf-109, or the Fw-190, you will get a sense of how this works. The flight controls in IL-2 are extremely comprehensive. DieSheriff also has a video on the best equipment and the buttons to have handy to activate all of the features in the cockpit of these sophisticated aircraft. In fact you might contact DieSheriff or his Il-2 on-line group of pilots, called FTC for Flying Tin Cans. They will probably be able to give you a hand and set you straight. My understanding of how the window works is that if you know the map, and follow -- say a road, then when you see the target in the middle of the window, you count to 3, then start your dive. I have also always wondered about the lines of degrees drawn on the window, obviously it is the angle of dive, but what do you line it up with, and how does that work? I would add that the fellow at the KZread channel: Military Aviation History has researched and written a book on the Stuka. You might see about getting your hands on a copy. Put simply, if you get really good at this, both flying and bombing, there is a great need for a well-done and comprehensive: "How To Fly the Ju-87 Stuka in IL-2" video. You clearly have the equipment and editing down, so you could do it. And you love the Stuka. So build up your flying capability to match your growing skills, and be the one to put up the definitive: "How To..." vid!

  • @Stoopid_Dumie

    Thanks so much for the feedback and typing this all out! It's really helpful! I've always loved the philosophy of dive bombing and how insane it all seems by today's standards (I'm more familiar with the dauntless - my plane of choice in IL 2 1946). To be honest, I'm still intimidated by the RPMs at the moment. That's really great info about finding a reference point like a road and lining it up that way. I'll try that out for sure.

    In the ultimate showdown between clowns and aliens, it's not about high-tech weaponry; it's about the power of laughter. Picture this: Aliens, with their advanced technology, face an unexpected challenge when clowns unleash an arsenal of jokes, pranks, and comically oversized props. Laughter becomes the ultimate weapon, disarming even the most advanced extraterrestrial foes. After all, who needs lasers when you can defeat aliens with a well-timed whoopee cushion? It's a battle where humor triumphs over intergalactic threats, proving that sometimes, a good laugh is the best defense. And also First.

    If your gonna use a dive bomber you should know alittle but about dive bomber tactics and strategy. You might find factual history much interesting then history channel video game nonsence. Much of WWII history is from a bias view and only mentions political battles. the Battle of the bulge was just one tiny fight and not the most crutical battle, more political. The battle of Hurtgen forest was the largest loss of US life in the entire war. Historys mainstream bullshyt doesn't mention that.

  • @NyteStalker89
    @NyteStalker895 ай бұрын

    Battle of the Bulge wasn't "more political" it was a fairly critical. That showed what not having logistics or aircover does to stall an advance into enemy territory with a decent loss of life. Hurtgen forest was that but much larger scale
