Yessir!
Was bass fishing the river and let me tell you what … when you’re expecting a bass and this monster with jagged teeth pointed in different directions comes out it’ll spook you lmao
One of my favorites to catch!
Where is this?
Northeast Ohio!
What is the name of the spot

Yessir 💪

I fished that spot a few times… unsuccessfully 🤷♂️you guys are pretty amazing to me! I drive up from Brimfield. I grew up near that river a half century ago, back in the coho salmon days.
Man that’s awesome! I totally wish I could have caught some coho in Erie tributaries that would have been awesome. Thank you for watching!
Nice video. Do you find that spoons/spinners out fish floating minnows/eggs?
It depends on the day. We normally start off by float fishing and if that doesn’t work we try spoons. I’ve had my best luck with spoons during the peak of the run in the fall and I have better luck float fishing in the winter!
@@peresieoutdoors I like spoons in the early Fall and into winter. I just started float fishing this past year and really enjoy it. Now that the rivers/water have higher temperature it seems the fish are chasing spoons more aggressively...
@@Teamanfish3 Float fishing is awesome but nothing beats a biggin smacking a spoon. I’ve noticed the same thing that if the water is warmer they seem to bite the spoons but if it’s really cold they rarely hit it.
East chagrin river??
Hi, looks like rocky river ?
Good guess, but wrong!
2.1% from the 330 here keep up the great work love the videos!
Thank you! Welcome aboard!
Noticed that you keep a lot of fish. Maybe do a video of how you prepare and eat ? Maybe I've missed a video with this ...
Thanks for the suggestion. We will definitely make a video like this in the future. Thanks for watching!
Does this hurt the fish?
Of course not. Only if we keep em for the dinner table 😋
drag burning love it
Yessir 😤
Was just in this area today. Low and clear water with an amazing current. Not a lot of people fishing 🎣 today. The area seems to be a very good early/mid winter spot. Anyway ... I found it lol.
Awesome man glad you found it! Tight lines 💪
Hey I live like a mile from here.
Sick man! It’s a really cool spot!
Eww you gonna eat that? 🤢
And why use spoons fishing a float fishing spot spoons are more for the mouth of the river i get they catch fish but your also spooking fish and messing with people float fishing there not trying to be a rude person just some tips alot of float fishermen dont like it
Good way to spot burn
Is that in Ohio?
Yessir!
What part of Ohio of you fishing for trout in if u don’t mind me asking ?
Up near Cleveland!
Ohio ODNR only allows 2 fish on stringer😮
We had 2 people
Yea you can't have 4 fish on the same stringer they have to be on different stringer's
Good job young men! I love hitting Pleasant Hill and Charles Mill dam this time of the year!
Thanks brotha! It’s a great spot for some winter saugeye!
@@peresieoutdoors I've got a freezer full of filets from pleasant hill alone this year. It's been a good winter for fishing the spillways. Charles Mills hasn't been producing much but PH is still poppin
@@adamcopley9860 Awesome. Haven’t been able to get out there recently but hoping to get out this spring!
Love to see those fish on that stringer what fishing is all about
Pleasant hill dam... Geo tracked you there. Couple of my friends down at the bureau need to have a word with you. Any good possible time and place we could meet with you to arrange that interview? This is satire. I fish there all the time. There's a couple huge pine trees just below the damn along the inside of the wall. You can't cast the flowing water without getting snagged on them. Such a bummer. When they open the dam up a good bit in late late fall early winter you could ask for a better saugeye spot. Had me and my two buddies depressed as shit cause we look forward to them eatens. Have a good day dude
Good information. Thanks brotha, tight lines 🤙
Were you fishing ,town?
Awesome job guys !
Up near Cleveland!
@@dsmith8564 thanks ya!
That is 1 popular spot. Seen a few guys post from this hole now.
Yeah it’s a decent hole but can get busy at sometimes for sure
Your catches are amazing, Are those Little Cleo’s you use there?
Yes, we normally do best there with little Cleo’s! Tight lines 🤟
@@peresieoutdoors I thought I saw that in one of your videos, I’ll have to pick a few up.
Nice fish
Thank you!
why do guys use 27 splitshots below there float?
Why do you care?
Keeps the line straight / down.
I just find that it works best for some reason.
What do you mean “on the minnow”? A salted or plastic minnow?
Live minnow
Nice video as usual. Like the little tips provided as well. Looks like a reliable spot that has fish, plus if it rains you stay dry. Fish on
Thanks brotha, tight lines 🤙
Dunno where this even is. The crowds have always been bad but since covid it just sucks. I have access to a private branch, its the only place ive done well consistently this year. Back when I was a kid you used to see guys using minnows quite a bit. I remember doing decent with them a few times but not really enough to wanna mess with hauling them around. I will say this years been pretty good with good size fish. I dont ever keep those things. I always say im going to keep a good hen for eggs and to cold smoke but its just not natural
In this video we are fishing an Erie trib near Cleveland and the crowds weren’t terrible but still pretty busy. It’s been tough to find spots that haven’t been hammered 24/7. This was our second time using minnows and it worked really well surprisingly catching quality fish. We normally keep a few fish to eat and stock up for the year cause we have limited time at the river.
Nice fishy
Thank you!
what flow do you guys like to fish at?
We normally do best anywhere from 150cfs-250cfs
cool and thank you
Never seen anyone drift with minnows for steelies before pretty damn cool I might have to try it out this winter.
Never tried it either until that day. It’s definitely worth a shot!
Nice catch
Thank you very much!
Are these steelhead or rainbow? My understanding is that steelhead are saltwater run rainbows hatched in freshwater. I wouldn't think a trout would be able to hit seawater from ohio? They look like nice rainbows to me though :p
Rainbow trout and steelhead are the same species, but they have different lifestyles. Steelhead are anadromous-meaning they spend part of their lives in the sea before going to rivers to breed-while rainbow trout spend their lives mostly or entirely in freshwater. (Pasted from National wildlife foundation) Steelhead were planted in the Great Lakes years ago. Their is a mix if hatchery and natural fish in the tributaries of the Great Lakes. Steelhead come in from the lake to spawn and return to the lake, unlike salmon which run the river one time in their life cycle and die after spawning.
Where are the minnows? Have you tried any Gulp minnows? Anyhow I gotta love spoons
The minnows are normally in the tail water and never tried Gulp minnows but may be worth a shot. Spoons is one of my go to baits for steelhead at the moment.
Gotta love on the minnows. I used to fall fish trout on home creeks the same way. Do not care a steelhead is a trout and trout love minnows. Just wondered if you tried the gulp series. Man great idea. Anyway a lot of times spoons are my go to. They flat out catch fish. Good Fishing to you young men.@@peresieoutdoors
@@thomasflickinger1949 Thanks brotha, I appreciate it! Never tried the gulp series but may do some more research and try it out. Thanks for the advice!
New subscriber here, great videos. The one steely was a beauty you thought may be your pb. Are you the only guys catching fish there? Wondering about the spoons you use. I have cleos, kastmasters and kowobblers I use. Wondering what brand of spoons you use. Happy belated bday. Fish on.
Thanks brotha, I appreciate the subscribe. Normally there are people catching fish there but it also depends on the day. Some days we catch up to 8 and I only see a few caught. We use little Cleo’s anywhere from 1/4 oz to 2/5 and just mix up the colors depending on what they are hitting. I’m thinking it was my PB but too late now to tell. Tight lines 🤙
Thanks for the info on the spoons. Keep the videos coming.
@@terryupperman7264 Yessir
Do you guys fish anywhere else besides under that bridge?
Good question haha. We are new to steelhead fishing and just now figuring out how to catch them. We’ve fished other places but this spot seemed to work the best. In the future we plan on trying different spots.
bro reel set up please?i fish in toronto i might try using minnows seems effective
Awesome! President Pflueger size 3000 and 10’6 Okuma Celilo rod.
@@peresieoutdoors thank you whats your mainline is it braid or mono?do you use a flourocarbon leader?
@@NielJ.My mainline is 15lb braid and I use 8lb fluorocarbon leader.
Good shit fellas
Thanks brotha! Tight lines 🤙
Great video! Where do you guys fish at ?
Thank you for watching! Sorry, we don’t give out our exact fishing locations, but it was in Northern Ohio!
I get it, I fish up in Rocky River just looking for new spots
@@Fishers21 Rocky isn’t a bad river just hard to beat the crowd to the good spots. I usually go far up river and find spots that are less likely to be fished a lot.
Nice work was this from last week . Is the water clearer in the morning over there?
Yes, this was the day before the big rain. This day the water was fairly clear but if you go up river it may more clear.
